Westworld just got new air sup bunkers. They have more than before and the lay out is taken from the recent Boston games. I have an annual pass and it is a great deal. I usually play on Thursdays and Fridays as do several other regulars. Most of your better players play on those two days. Saturdays and Sundays have a lot of rentals and it can tend to get very full. I like west world because it is a air-conditioned indoor field. The playing surface is the same material they use on the infield of baseball and is great for sliding into bunkers. The place is very clean and they have very high standards. Safety is always first on their minds. People who like to break the rules won't like it here as the refs are first class. I just bought a Russian Legion shocker from Bill and Westworld prices are as good as anywhere and better than most. What’s great about buying your gear here is its fully guaranteed. If something goes wrong Bill has always worked on my gun for nothing. I first played on Ron’s old field in 1996. Ron the owner has been in paintball longer than anyone else in the Phoenix area. I have seen him constantly improve his fields and keep them neat. I do play elsewhere but I must admit that Westworld is my favorite especially with the new bunkers and the air conditioning. Ron thanks for the new bunkers I know they weren't cheap. You have a first rate place and crew. |

Safety is a priority every time that I step onto the field and West World shares the same beliefs. I not only play competitively myself but I also bring my son and his friends. I’ve been to other fields that I won’t return to because they don’t monitor fps or take responsibility for what happens on their field. The hours are great there. The pro shop has helped me when even the shop I bought my original equipment couldn’t help. They are especially knowledgeable about the upgrades that matter. I will NEVER do business anywhere else. Bill, the manager, was probably the most helpful and respectful man that I have met within the sport. He answered every one of my many questions surpassing my expectations. He understood that not all of us that love to play live the life of a paintballer, so he brought everything down to my level. To be perfectly honest Bill seems to be what makes this field exceptional. Great customer service, value, convenience, and a staff that enjoys what they do. |

I have played paintball at all the fields in the Phoenix Metro area and the Westworld fields (both Splatter Ranch and Extreme Pursuit) offer an exceptional day of competition, fun and skill enhancements. |

Westworld Paintball is unique in that it offers a variety of paintball options, both rec ball (outdoors) and speedball (indoors). Players with a variety of skill levels can come together and be assured of a marvelous experience. Skilled players can practice their techniques at the Extreme Pursuit indoor field. Rec ballers can have a great day at Splatter Ranch playing in the desert on over 15 acres of desert layout.
For families, Westworld offers truly unique opportunities. Be it a birthday party or just bringing the youngsters out with their friends, Westworld is meticulous in its emphasis on safety issues, rules orientation, prohibitions on inappropriate language and unsportsmanlike conduct. Skilled players often help new young people learn the game, help with their equipment and go out of their way to make it an enjoyable day for young people. There are a minimum of 4 referees on every field at one time. This helps ensure good coverage of the fields at all times.
For experienced and higher skilled players, the sky is the limit with regard to either speed ball or rec ball. You can literally play from morning to sunset. Bonus balling and wiping are almost non-existent, markers are chronographed at a healthy 280 BPS and no ramping is allowed. The refs make great efforts to avoid stacking of teams so almost every game seems to me to be a fair challenge.
Westworld offers a great paintball experience and I highly recommend it to players of all ages and skill sets.

Man can i say wtf is wrong with the management
Bill aka the manager not the owner thrives on ripping people off personally he has ripped me off for 500 in a personal deal and i now know of 12 other deals of his that have gone wrong as well over the course of about 2 years all i gotta say is man i am surprised he isn't in jail yet
He has a very loud mouth and cheats on the field when he plays as well
Field rules no ramping no full auto he sure cant walk the trigger that fast
The refs are all ok for the most part w a few small exceptions but they are just following the aka managers not the owners directions it is totally a noob factory due too the fact that most that play there have never played before and prolly will never play again due too the managers loud mouth
If you do decide to go here be ready too pay allot for the field fee on top of that a ton on paint which is 60 bux a case which is marked up almost 3x what it costs special my butt all paint is biodegradable i hope you are rich cause they will take all your dough good luck and good day
The field markers are great for what they are |

Well, what can i say. I left b4 i ran out of paint! My VERY 1st time ever. You say - WTF? Sure, i can answer. Lets start with INSANE crowds of adults, kiddies, mommies, some dudes and anyone else. Totally carzy. They only got ONE field and games are a HELL A LOT OF PEOPLE Vs. HELL A LOT OF PEOPLE. I like to shoot people as much as next guy but it was uncomfortably crowded. Also, refs are unneededly rude. And owner Bill is totally like a hungry watch dog. I totally get it about being a business owner and having insurance policy and such. But to me it looked like that he was there just looking for a chance to snap at someone and rudely and loudly talk down to them. Now i say WTF dude?!? Staging area is not anywhere near enough for the amount of people there and seriously overcrowded. All in all entire experience suxed. I will not be coming back and those 100 bux i left there last $$ Bill will see outta me. Plz, do not go there and save yourself frustration.
PS: Tile store next to that place is pretty good one. Go there instead. |

The field is nice but unfortunately i will not be going back under the current management hence the 2 that posted before me they explain alot of what is going on around there
and if you are just hearing the pov of 2 well here is a 3rd
1 pov saying they havnt had a good time lately well isolated
2 pov saying they havnt had that great a time well coinsidense
3 povs that are simialar in saying and such well then you know something going on that isnt quiet right
at that point whats going on isnt that uncommon chances are its going on a lot more than people knew about
hmmm
the field is good its just management that is the problem and unfortunately the upper management seems too be blind of it all
that is the reason for the mid score props on the field failure on the operations

I have been to both Extreme persuit and Splatter Ranch. Both fields didn't impress me. Extreme persuit is better than splatter ranch, but not much. I think th ereal problems with these fields is that they are too expensive and the employees are just too mean. Also, because of the field paint only rule, this field is a lot less enjoyable. The only reason this place stays in business is because all the noobs that go there. It can get kind of boring when the place is so crowded with noobs that you can shoot with your eyes closed and still hit some of them. It can just get too easy. The reason why i like game-on better is because it is more of a challenge because of the more experienced players. I wouldn't recomend this field to experienced players; they should go to Game-On. Noobs are the only ones that should go here. Rating is a 4. |

Lately it seems that the refs and staff here don't give a damn about there player and just want to collect a pay check. people are always over shooting and wiping. people are always taking there mask of in the field. and when the ref do see it they almost tackle you and yell at you very louding. i don't recommend this place anymore since the manager would rather kick you out and start a fight rather then talk it or even let you explain what happened. i personally have seen the manager get it players faces about 5 time and kick them out.. all of the altercation i have seen almost came down to physical blows but the players left . so this field is not recommend at all. |

I walked into this place expecting the same treatment when I go to other fields, dirty and the refs and other staff are a bunch of punks who don't know anything about the sport. But when I walked in, all of my expectations were wrong. The first thing I see was a huge projection screen from the field to the staging area, and I thought that was sweet that you could see the field and players without having to look through a shot-up window shared by a bunch of worried moms and hopeful dads. After signing the waivers and the other boring stuff, I went to a window to hand the staff member my papers of entree and then he took my pic on a digital camera liked to his computer. The reason for this is, if you steal of get something stolen, they have everyone's face to mach a number so they can tack you down(security is very very tight). After buying my field fee and my all day N2 and my 2000 rounds of paint, the total came up and I was shocked, $92.00!!!!!!! Any other place would have been well over $100.00 bucks. The owner Mr. Ron L. came up to me and asked if I've ever played before and I said yes then he asked if had go through orientation? I said no not yet. He then rounded me up with some others and took us to a room secluded from the loud firing and other noises and sat us in the room, and we watched the DVD. Only six minutes long and very helpful. For example, if you mask falls of don't call "cease fire" call "truce". I went to go pre-chrono and my gun was messing up so I took it to the FULLY STOCKED ON-SITE PRO SHOP!!!!! My eyes almost watered when I saw all of the product, guns and grips and masks and Jerseys, it was sweet. Anyway, I took it to the pro-tech and in like 2 seconds he fixed my gun...sorry "MARKER". Well after all that I went on to the field, and it was a very well set-up of supair and nik-nacs. The refs were also awesome...nice but assertive. The games were set up very nice and btwn games, the time is 5 minutes. So you have 5 minutes to fill your pods and air and get back on the field. Stop reading this review and go to Westworld Paintball Adventures, its on 4240 W Camelback Rd. STE C-3. This place gets a 10, but I give it an 11. |

I have been to other fields that have offered me better expeirence and quilty of employees. westworld was not only smaller than i thought it was the management was horable. they did not answer my questions when asked and if they gave me any kind of answer it was not an actual answer it was run around answer. they also tried to sell me items when i asked them to fill my n2. i was not looking to purchase anything more than a refill!!! if i want to purchase something i will defanatly not go to westworld proshop. they tried to sell my items that were not of my ideal quality product. there was dust on everything and they dont clean. to me when u are running a buisness safety of customers and quality of product would be number 1 priority. i can understand paint in the field but off the field i dont understand. they should be cleaning that up before someone slips. the employee's in the booth are incredably dumb. It takes them 30 minutes to register you when you are not in the system. When you ask to rent something they forget to give it to you, and when you are standing there waiting for it they look at you funny, as it why in the world you are still standing there. there was this one employee i liked because he always helped me and when he was reffing he taught me new things about sneeking up the snakes or through the tomato. when i went to play lat night i found out that he had gotten fired which i couldn't understand why. Why would that management fire someone who does there job and not the ones that take an hour to do theres. |
