There is the nanaimo fields and they are probably much better i have never played on them but they are store owned fields this one is not!
apparently there is one out cherry creek and one out loon lake but I cant find them myself.
Directions to the Field:
if you live in port alberni it is the second left after the second trucker pull off, I do not know about coming in from out of town.
Review:
The shop does not own the field tho they did put some safety netting up around it and have put some bunkers up.
the field was not built by the shop so yuo do not have to buy there paint and can come wiht your own which is not a bad deal but there paint is expensive you buy it when they play on saturdays.
there are some regulars including myself who go up every sat but you can get a group go up in teh middle of the week.
when they do ref they do an execellent job and are really friendly and fair!
there are some unneccesary bunkers they have put up but that is no big fault.
there is a big swamp in the middle during the spring which can get frusterating but makes the field more challenging.
it can be cut in half which is conveineint depending on the number of players that are up there.
the boundary line is probably the biggest fault it is very unclear and mostly shown by heavy vegitation but other then that the field is reasonable.
i have never played on any other field so i give this one a rating of 8 with no comparison
