Review: This field is no longer open which is a shame. It was very newbie friendly. I typically don't play speedball, only woodsball. Went with my son and couple of his friends to try out the field because it was close and we had blast. Was going to go back this year but found out that it was closed.

Game On ---- better bunkers, Game on has the bigger field with more ease to move around, but the field is on a very noticeable slant which Timberline doesn't have
Directions
to the Field:
Take stanton exit, turn toward the dairy queen and follow the road for a couple of miles. You will pass a brick "plant" and will eventually approach a steep hill. The turn-off is at the base of the hill.
Review: Being a new field, I decided to check it out and weigh it against the other fields around. I found that the turn-out wasn't as good as I hoped for, BUT the a local officer had been killed and the visitation/funeral was that weekend. Regardless, there was 4 people there that could play, and the competition was great. The owner, Montlee, was more than friendly, and is probably the most helpful owner I have met. The field is smaller than expected and some of the bunkers are smaller than anticipated. However, the bunkers are placed well and I assume as business picks up - larger/better bunkers will be ordered for next season. Prices are better than most, but the inability to adequately fill HPA tanks is a downside (but Montlee is taking care of this). Overall, for a field that has just started - it is an excellent place to play and can only get better. I plan to play there the next time I plan play.

I've Played at Game On in winchester quite a bit, but it doesn't compare with this field. It's a much better environment. The people are more friendly, its a much more newbie friendly field as well.

Review: This is a fairly new field that I've had the pleasure of playing at every weekend. The owners are great and go out of their way to make your paintball experience a great one. The field is the size of a 5v5 and can handle that very well. All of their paint prices are very cheap it only cost's $38 for a whole case of precision. Everything is very clear what to do as well. They have signs posted everywhere that tell you when you should have barrel covers on, or when you need a face mask. They even have signs pointing you to the chrono, which you cant play until you get done. They can even have food delivered from a local restaurant which is great. Overall it's a great field.

Game-On Paintball Park in Winchester, KY. The community at Game-On is not very newby friendly, they basically are nice and open with people they know and who are on the home team, but anyone else it's like it is strictly business. At Timberline, the refs and owner make everything fun.

Review: Timberline is overall a good new field. The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful to any level of player. They have great prices for all of their items. As of now since it has only been open for 2 weeks, they do not have a large proshop in stock. They CAN order just about anything for you though if you need it. In the store they sell beverages and snacks. The field is close enough to town to easily go for lunch and be back within half an hour to an hour.

Safety is a huge thing at Timberline. There are signs up on the netting and building to let everyone know what kind of area they are in, from barrel condoms/plugs on at all times from masks on in the field and chrono area. Safety rules and playing rules are posted for everyone to read so little to no accidents happen. Every marker is chrono'd before use, if someone does not chrono, they are not allowed to play.

The field itself is in good shape for it's location. Some land was taken out and moved to get it level and whatnot so the grass was all taken up. The field has grass growing already and after a couple weeks it will be nice and thick it looks like. The field is surrounded with regulation netting for assurance of no paintballs out of the field.

As for paint/air services, they supply Nel-Splat, Precision, and Anarchy paint. As of now they can only fill Co2, the Air Compressor for HPA/N2 is shipping and should arrive shortly.

All in all this is starting out as a great field and will continue to grow and introduce an awesome sport to the community through a family safe environment.

Game-On Paintball. The owners of the field are great at Timberline Paintball. They work hard to ensure that everyone is safe and having a good time. They are really good with new players and young children.
Directions
to the Field:
About 45 minutes east of Lexington. Take I-64 east to the Mountain Parkway to exit 22 Stanton and turn left off the exit onto Highway 213. Drive about 4 miles and they are located on the right up on the hill just at the start of Timberline road.
Review: Safety is a big issue at this field. They require barrel condoms or barrel plugs as soon as you enter the property. They also have signs posted everway to let you know what type of area you are in. Their netting is Alpha Netting and is easy to see throught and very durable. They have just one field which measures 100 x 75 and is good for 3 man teams. They have a 21 pc DBX bunker set and they change the field lay out daily. They are open on Saturday (10 to everyone is done playing) and Sunday (1 to everyone is done playing). They are cheap on they paint and they have nelson precision, nel-splat, and anarchy. There is two 3 man teams that spend most of the weekends up there help run the field. The staff is great and very helpful. The owner helps with everything from working the chronograph to reffing to fill tanks and even setting up the field. He is alway willing to help anyone with their equipment and helps new players transition into speedball. They sell water, pop, candy, chips, and have local food deliver to the field. They have about 8 rental packages, most 32 degrees Icons, but some spyders and autocockers. They sell co2 tanks, hoppers, elbows, markers, and can order anything you want. They only fill CO2 at the time, but the owner said HPA fills will be ready next week.
