Other Fields
in the Area:
CDR: Great field but its run by young adults so supervision is not what most people would like. Their outdoor is better though but they don't have a indoor. Not as good as SVP.
Doodle bug sportz: Great field and refs but the turf need improvement at lease from the last time i was there. Would be as good except for the actual field.
Directions
to the Field:
Easily found on there website. http://www.skagitvalleypaintball.com/
Review: Safety: They have velocity checks all the time which is good and there is always an eye out for un-safe pratices. Safety isn't really a problem in SVP except somtimes your get a ball that will break on the net which i guess could endanger people in the staging area.

Fields: There are two fields one is the woods field basically the old paint a mania which is on a hill so it adds a edge to the game, but i mostly play speed ball so ill let some one else give a review on that field.
There indoor field is basically amazing, Its a 7man size field i forget which format but its definitely not small. Greatest thing is that its very clean for an indoor field. The Refs do a full clean up about once a week and do a minor clean up every day. So the turf is great, and they have plenty of different field arrangments. Also there is dead boxes at the corners so you don't have to walk through paint if you get out.

Prices: Their prices are about the same as every one else some things seem a little high like the walk on fee but thats because it's still a relativley new field.

Rules: The rules are okay no-one cheats and the calls are fair, but the refs are still learning and in a while it should get better as there experience grows.

Services: With there new LARGE on field proshop they now offer basic gun services along with field services. Although I have never used them, after my experiences with CDR, I wouldn't trust my stuff with any proshop, but these guys could be different.

Proshop: last time i was there it wasn't fully stocked but now i bet it has just about every thing. Again I didn't find there prices outragiously great, but they weren't terrible. I would perfer if everything was free but oh well...

Staff/Refs: Staff and the refs is what makes this field my favorite. Dan the owner of the field i believe, he's a great guy and is there to better the sport of paintball. I remember one time Impact was there and he was running out of his cheaper paint. So he gave out his better paint at a lower price which is kinda unheard of in paintball. The refs are great although there normally young they are always being trained and managed my Dan.

Strangely not alot of people know about this field, all the people i ask has never heard of it, so the number of people there changes all the time. I been all by my self and some times as much as 50 people are there. So if you have a long drive i would give the field a call before going, this might change as people go back to paintball as the weather warms up.

I gave this field a 8 because its nearly perfect but has minor flaws and the lack of people to play somtimes. In a while it will probley have a more stable amout of people playing. This field is great other-wise i would definitely give this field a visit if you haven't already.

DoodleBug - Indoor Everett - Great field too... a little smaller and the turf isn't as nice.
CDR Sports - Awesome outdoor field!! Castles and all other kinds of cool stuff (my favorite field)
Directions
to the Field:
Going North on I-5 take a right off the anderson road exit and take an almost immediate left onto Cedardale Rd. Follow that road until you hit Blackburn and take a right. The field is about a mile ahead on your right. Just look for the big green building. If the road turns right you have gone too far. If going south just take a a left off the exit and follow the same directions.
Review: Skagit Valley Paintball (SVP) is the new and improved Paint A Mania field. Basically what they did was add a HUGE indoor field and a pro shop (soon to open) to the existing outdoor field.

To make sure I cover all the topics I'm going to go one by one,

Fields:
Indoor- I would say its the largest indoor field in the northwest. They have brand new turf that is always clean so you never get covered in leftover paint sludge. The lighting is very good, which is a huge bonus because I have played at fields where the indoor lighting wasn't good and had a miserable time. The field stays nice and cool during the summer and doesn't get too cold during the winter. They have a large air ball setup and gets changed around every week. The best part of indoor is no mud or rain!

Staff:
This field has some of the friendliest staff of any field that I have played at. The owner Dan is always willing to go the extra mile for his players. I have forgot my mask a couple of times and he has let me use his personal one for no charge.

Hours of operation:
They are open Th, Fri, Sat, Sun. Check the website for exact hours. Most nights have extended play because its indoor. Like Thursdays they are open until 10pm making it really convenient to play a good amount when you get off work.

Prices:
The price at SVP are very competitive. Cases of paint range from $40-65 depending on the kind. Entry with air is $20 (FPO) or $25 (BYOP), except for Thursdays where if you buy a case its free entry. They also rent out a number of different kinds of rental guns, all of which run off compressed air so you can shoot more consistently.

Pro shop:
They are building a large pro shop right next to the field that they say should be open in the next couple months. .

Players:
This field draws a diverse group of players. You get your tournament players, rec players, and new players. Everyone I have played with here is really friendly. If you are new to paintball there are always people looking to help out and show you the ropes.

Bottom line:
This is a great place to play and is one of the nicest indoor fields I have played at. You wont be disappointed.

I have only really played at one other field called CDR sports. This is a field setup for serious rec players, Skagit Valley Paintball is more for speed ballers but still gives you the option to play rec.
Directions
to the Field:
This fields located in Mount Vernon Washington, pretty close to the Skagit Valley Hospital. If you get off I-5 Anderson Exit you want to head east than take the first immediate left, that will take you to Blackburn Rd. take a right heading east again on Blackburn and you cant miss it, its about 1 mile on the right.
Review: This is the best place to play if your a speed ball nut or a tournament player. I personally have not traveled alot in paintball yet so im not sure what other paintball facilities are comparable to Skagit Valley Paintball. A few players have just joined our team and they have all played around the world telling me this is the nicest place yet, which I dont need the convincing. The owner put everything into making this the nicest indoor building around, built for paintballers. The field is a NPPL 7-man field with the 2005 Spyder field setup which is sick and fun to play on. The walls are all padded and netted off, we made sure to use titanium shatter proof lights and put them outside the nets which has completey eliminated shadows. The turf isnt like indoor soccer or football, its alittle thicker, almost like grass so you never slip when making a bump, and you can slide but dont overslide your bunker. I help out alot and we make sure the building is spotless at least once a week.

I play alot of speed ball and this by far is the sickest place to play, super friendly staff and helpful with anything I need. They run seperate groups to so families and friends can chill and play with each other, that way tournament players play with tourny players and kids learning get to play with each other. And thats just the indoor, the outdoor rec field is fun to, alittle small for serious rec players but that also is cool cause it just means you get to play more games. I recommend Skagit Valley Paintball to everyone.

Oh yeah... there putting in a BIG PROSHOP within the next month or so which will have everything you could want.
