*NOTE* This is for the Danger Zone Pro Shop, not the field. The field is under "Ft. Lewis" in the field listings a page back.
We don't have many repair shops for paintball markers here in Washington and those that we do have are at least an hours drive away, depending on where you live. All I have to say is, if you're going to drive for an hour to get to a pro shop, don't pick Danger Zone.
I bought an older Autococker a few months back and found out that there was an issue with the timing or some crap like that. After doing some research, I learned that there were only two paintball shops that offered repairs that were anywhere near where I live. Dispite all the poor reviews I read about the DZ pro shop, I decided to make the drive down and see what the story was. Big mistake.
1. The shop was more or less empty with just a few masks, loaders and jerseys on the floor and a few Tippmanns on the wall rack. Not a good sign if you're going there to buy toys.
2. There was only one person there, an older woman who knew nothing about my marker and wouldn't even take a look at it. Why the heck would you work at a paintball shop if you don't know jack about markers?
3. While they only charge $25 per hour (the only plus), there was a month long waiting list and with a game coming up in a few weeks, that was just too long.
To rap this up, this shop isn't 100% worthless. If you need air or Co2 fills, they can do that for a small fee. But if you're going to drive an hour to get to a paintball repair shop, I HIGHLY recomend the DBS field in Everet. Not only can they fix your marker (mine was done the same day), they have lots of markers, parts and gear to keep your mouth watering. Hope this helps.
Mapquest it. Easy to Find. DO NOT FORGET TO BRING CURRENT DRIVERS LICENSE PROOF OF INSURANCE AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION. This is on a military base, and the driver has to have these things to get on base. You can have your insurance company fax it to them but it takes 15 minutes. Every adult must also have a valid drivers licence or ID.
K first off. Love the field. My group of at least 5+ drive an hour each way, once every other month or so to play here. We get there at opening and don't leave till we're out of paint.
The 20+ acres of fields, Village, Hamburger Hill and the Forest are all nice. I do think that some work needs to be done on some of these fields however. The village is in serious need of some revamp. Change things up a bit. Some of the buildings platforms have broken leaving jagged edges of wood and nails. The other two fields are decent, but it would still be nice to have some variance and new features/bunkers.
My only gripe at this time is lack of danger close shooting restrictions. They don't allow blind firing, but don't say a word about the risks of shooting point blank. Granted at times, this is unavoidable if you come around a corner or tree and there's someone right there. But if you find yourself in this scenario. DON"T SHOOT FOR THE HEAD. I had a friend get shot in the neck from 15 feet away, and he's lucky as I see it. I got lit up from the same distance by the same person, and 2 weeks later have a huge dark purple area on my arm. I know paintbal hurts, and still I play, love the sport and expect to have some minor injuries, but that was just plain dangerous.
Come up from behind an enemy, have them dead to rights, hit them in the pack, butt, legs, etc, but don't drill them in the back if you can avoid it.
My advise to DZ is to incorporate this into the ref briefings before each match. Simple. Or so you'd hope. Change up the fields from year to year. Spend some of the money you get off of us addicts.
The fields are awesome the village is favorite of all who play there about 20 acres of
varing terrain.lot of great cover and bunkers in the northfield, the village is a mock town
great for close quarters combat and the ridge and creek add to the fun,
hamburger hill is great also.
They also have a good speedball field.
The staff and facility are well staffed and run by some friendly people, thanks Nick.
they have food and drink at a reasonable price.
Field paint only average pricing good policy for unused paint they count it and keep it till the next time you play,20 bucks field fee and all day air/marker/mask/100 paintballs.
same price if you use your own equiptment.Paint is $55.00 a case to $65 a case.
They put on some great events Easter Egg games great prizes, axis vs allies and more.
This is a great field and staff to play.
