Review: field-you dont want to go to this place after a tourny-its wet and paintball shells are everywhere. also when i went there the tourny winners were there. they had 2 08 egos and an etek ego. the field is small and the chrono limit is 250.
refs-dont make calls at all, sometimes leave during a game.
prices- prices are high for admission, its $10 and if you need to rent a gun,its $15 extra. Its a field paint only so you have to buy their over priced paint. cases are $40 to $65. the food is the only reasonable priced.
hours- all on web site but on friday and saturday they are open till 11 pm so its great if you are out late and want to play.
conclusion- dont go after a tourny and have extra cash.

Review: My first experience at this field was on a sunday afternoon and no one was there except for one other guy. We waited for just a little bit until the owner said that he and one of the workers their would play with us. I thought this was a pretty cool gesture, not to many owners that I have known will play with players.

That day was very hot so it was very nice being indoors. The field itself is not air conditioned of course, but it helped, and the shop and sitting area was air conditioned.

The format of the field was really good for the amount of space that they had to work with. You would not want to have more than 4 people playing on a team and 4 is pushing it. For all of those 3 man teams though this is the perfect size. The next time I went the format was a little different though, it seemed as if they had to many bunkers in the middle. WIth a full size X bunker in the middle it was a little hard to shoot around it. Even the snake had some weak spots. Their were no knuckles on the snakes leaving it vulnerable to the back bunkers deeming it almost usless.

The last time I went the format was improved and the snake was angled so that it was not apparant that knuckles were missing. The bunkers were still pushed in to far to the middle though.

Positives:
I Indoor
All year play
Great players
Good service (owners are great)
Air bunkers
Format at times
Good Paintball Atmosphere

Negatives:
Slick Floors
BIg X in small field
Format at times

Overall I would defenitly say this is my favorite field in the area. I would suggest it to all.

Review: First off I just want to tell every one that I am NOT a pro so take my review acordinly!
The staff is super nice, infact they are some of the nicest people I ever met. They are open Friday and Sat 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Sunday 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Appointments can be made through the week and Sunday's hours can be extended if needed. The Prices are a little high, field fee is $15 and . Air is only $6 for all day air, the field can only fill 3000psi. Paint is about average cost and is field paint only.
I would recomend this field to all players!

In comparison to Paintball Paradise: Superior. Airball field, larger indoor accomodations, better paint and pricing, superior turf, more knowedgable owners, better reffing. However, there is at present only one field, though two more are being constructed, and since it's an airball field, it can be set up differently adding some variety on a week to week basis.
Comparison to Silver Spur:
Indoor field allows year round play, so bonus points there, as well as being exttremely well lit, you can easily play all night. Pricing is higher, however, and air fills only go to 3000 psi. For me though, it's much closer (about two miles from where I live vs 45 miles to go to Princeton) Staff is equally knowledgable, friendly and helpful, though Silver Spur has the advantage of having a full service pro shop, wider field variety, and cheaper paint.
Review: Safety:
Chrono in at 250 FPS due to the extremely tight and small nature of the course. It's a 3 man field, 5 people is pressing your luck. Ramping to 15 BPS is permissible. AStroturf is slick, but preferable to any other playing surface. Good chrono station, and perpetual ref presence. Due to the fields indoor construction, there are no problems with netting etc, as none are needed. paintballs don't go through concrete walls very well.
Hours of operation are slightly above average. Open Fri (same operating hours as Sat I think?), Sat(pretty much all day to 11:00 PM), and Sun(1-7). Appointments can be made for Mon, Tue, and Weds as well as outside Sunday's hours of operation (say playing through midnight or longer).
Prices: Standard pricing, filed fee is waived if you rent now. Air is better than most fields, at only $6 for all day air, however, the field can only fill to 3000psi. Paint is about average cost and the field is Field Paint ONLY. $65 buys a case of Marbalizers, as the premium paint for this field. Cheaper paint can be had as low as $45, but I tend to only buy the best. $65 is a fair price, not outstanding, but not overcharging either, and at least it's good paint and fresh paint. I'm more than happy to pay a couple extra bucks to support a new field and get some good paint.
Services: General gun teching I suppose is available, but since no one had any gun problems that day, I can't say, though it's not offered on the pricing menu, and there are no extra spare parts laying around to my knowledge. Paintball Players MD does gun teching and is a mere mile or so away.....it's meant to be a field, not an airsmith shop.
Proshop: An extension of Paintball Player's MD proshop, assortment of guns mainly consists of variously upgraded Ions.
Rules: Simple elimination. 15 BPS ramping permissible. Pretty straightforward. bunkering permitted, though as an unspoken rule, you don't do it to the new guys.
Staff: This is what really makes me want to come to this field. The field owners are arguably the nicest people I have ever dealt with in the sport of paintball. Sometimes they grill hotdogs and brauts for the players and....WTF....they don't charge? Simply amazing.
Players: I've played at this field long enough and its beginning to get more business. If you want to go play and have a good time and not deal with cheaters, wipers, and all the other BS associated with showboating tourney wannbe kids, this is your field! The players there have been consistently honest, they play clean, and are generally awesome. If you're new or experienced, you can go out there and play for the love of the game and have a great time.
Facilities: Love this part. So the main area of the place is air conditioned, has a generous number of restaraunt sized booths, is kept clean and well maintained, overall, awesome. I can sit down in a comfortable booth with a big table to get my gear ready, in cool air conditioning, How awesome as that? After you exit this area, there is a half indoor/outdoor staging area as well to keep your paint at so you don't have to go all the way back inside to reload. It is directly connected to the chrono area. And right next door to the chrono area is the field itself (though plans are in place to put two more in). The field utilizes astroturf, which makes for a slick playing surface, but preferable to nearly anything else. It's an airball course, as mentioned before, and I never once felt unsafe playing anywhere in this arena. What's cool is that the indoor staging area with the booths and whatnot is directly parallel to the field, when you're downing a can of gatorade you can watch the game through the windows in the staging area! Great idea.
Overall, I really enjoyed playing at this field. While it is more expensive than going to Silver Spur, the cost of gasoline about cancels it out. It's nice to have something to do in the winter in Evansville. I hope that once the word gets out about this place business picks up and they can perhaps offer BYOP and pay admission, or buy theirs and get in for free. There's only one field, but it's small, fast, and you won't be standing around waiting for a game for very long. It's also a lot of fun. Eventually, maybe a proshop, but I see this place as being more focused on playing facilities than a gear shop. A true pro shop is a long ways away for these guys I think, but I also think that's not their aim. I would definatly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good airball field, or needing something to do in the winter.
I give it an 9, as the prices are a little above average to get in and play, and the paint pricing is only average, not good, not bad, but the playing experience at the field makes up for it for me to a pretty fair extent, the staff is incredible, I don't have to burn gas money to drive all the way to Princeton, the players are freindly.....I have never had a bad day of paintball at this field yet.
Things to work on:
1) More fields. (This is being worked on)
2) Um......fills to 4500 would be nice, but all day air is available, so not a huge issue.

PLEASE go give it a shot if you want something to do in Evansville. You won't be dissapointed..

Review: The field has a good layout. The inside is clean and the staff is nice even though they have no clue about tournament side of paintball. Their refs need a lot more training and need to know how to start a game correctly. They also need to get into the action and make calls instead of standing on the sidelines trying not to get shot. I asked a question about splatter and one of the refs said what’s splatter, so that was the first warning sign to me. The prices are very steep 15 dollars field fee plus high priced decent paint. They field is indoors but they did not air condition it while I was playing. So in my opinion no air conditioner running the field fee should be 5 bucks if even that. The paint selection was some crap no name cheap brand, then stingers, then midnights, and marbs. The level of competition at the field was weak. A lot of woodsballers playing indoor ball the night I went. So it was like shooting fish in a barrel for me. This will probably improve has the field gets older. For having only one field the prices should be a little lower. They have way too many people working, that’s one of the reasons why prices are so high. Three people being at the counter two in air/stock room and three refs is overkill for just one field facility Take it down to one person doing air/stock and counter and two refs and that would eliminate a lot of their useless overhead. This field needs to learn one valuable lesson. A field fee is for people who don’t buy your paint. Charging a field fee at a field paint only field does not fly to good in this area.
In a closing note, if you can not afford to drive to silver spur right now or simply want a change of scenery , and are willing to be patent with people new to the bussines; go to Splatz indoor instead of the nightmare in paradise. But if you want to go to place that does it right every time go to silver spur.
