Directions to the Field: |
Once you have come to Snead crossroads, (Hwy278+Hwy75) going north on 278 you will see "county rd. 35" on your right and then it will be the next road to the right (there is a church sign directly beside this road you turn right on. Now go about a mile or more and then you will see chicken houses on the left and then immediately on your right you will see a road sign that says Paintball rd. so turn right there and you will run right into it. |

I haven't actually played at this field yet but I am planning on playing there the 26th of March '06. I made a visit there today the 19th of March '06 and DonNeeysa gave me a tour of the place and it has a great variety of fields. It has it's close quarters and wide open spaces as well as plenty of woods to enjoy. I suspect this will be my new home for a while to come.
Ok I played there yesterday the 26th of March "06 and me and my friends had a great time. I don't really remember how many games we played but it was a lot. Defend the flag, capture the flag, 30s vs younger, school yard, and draw teams from a hat. We were in the woods defending and also attacking and attacking close quarters from the woods and defending from the woods. I have really found a home here. Only drawback is that in the summer months there is no woods ball here. I really had a great time there.
One tip though, if you carry more than one tank only take one into the shop when you pay for air. I went in with two tanks and had to pay for both. Five each and that sucked.| Last edited on Monday, March 27th, 2006 at 7:18 am PST |

The best field in Blount - Marshall or Cullman Co. ( in the general area ) ... The fields are awesome ( 1 hyperball course and 4 or 5 wooded areas ) ... The CQ is totally rad dude , huge! Unlike anyother course anywhere in Alabama, maybe. Can accomodate large or small games. The wooded areas are very organized and can be used for play with other courses.
I really like the atomshere of Elite 1 Paintball ..... Non commerical , relaxed , cheap prices and super fun REC games and local tourneys. This is a "mom and pop" place which allows people to get to know one another . Because they are non commerical , they have the freedom to cut prices , accomodate large or small groups and play on a scheduled calendar ( which allows more people to attend - think they maybe average about 25 per game date this year , could be more , dunno but its alot of good paintball'in ).
Local flavor keeps the tempers to a minimum and folks just wanna have fun here! I like that , just play paintball and dont worry so much with the details of "organized play". Safety is a requirement and is adhered to the fullest - sure from time to time you get some newbies doing something stupid , but the owners ( or locals ) are right on top of the situation to teach them correct safety procedures. They have refs , but being a local club type atomsphere , they dont get in the way and let players ref themselves alot ( I like that too - let the players make a honest call when hes hit - teaches respect and honor among paintball'ers ) .
Saw some idoit posted it was a cow pasture , its in the country (not city) numbnutts and its located among wood lines - a plush grass meadow for the hyperball course , it is mowed and groomed before every game date to an almost perfect lenght ( thanks T and D ) ... no rocks - no stumps - perfect!
If you want a commerical field , dont go here! If you wanna play some fun paintball and go home talking about the days events - GO HERE !
I have been a local player since almost the time they opened - I appreciate the efforts T and D make to run a "NO FIELD FEE" paintball place for us to play at .
Thanks guys !| Last edited on Friday, July 23rd, 2004 at 10:30 pm PST |

First and only trip I will ever take to this place. Too many bunkers, poor if any referee. At ALL fields that care about their players or fans, SAFETY is the most important thing. PERIOD!! My only experience with this cow pasture of a field there was not any safety precautions being used ( no barrel plugs, free shooting behind the shed, and players taking their masks off and on approaching the field.) I would never bring my kids or anybody elses to this field unless they change the way things are run. Maybe they have changed but I'll never be back to offer another opinion. The other posts are true about this field being cheap. And I don't mean the prices. pb187 |

This place is great the bunkers are great there's 3 places to play: The CQ, Ghost Hill, The Rock, and they are currently putting in a new place theres going to be a big tower so that we can have siege the tower games and stuff. The full course games, where we use all of the 3 courses are great and those are probably the most fun. and as of lately the have put in a house like thing out beside the field and you can go in there to buy your paint and co2 and air or rent a gun and everything its decently big and its air conditioned so its useful during the summer games.
I highly recommend this place |

I am relatively new to this great and exciting sport, but lack of experience on my part could not hide the fact that Todd and Donessya run a top notch facility. The work and dedication to their field and to the sport reflects in every detail, from the friendly atmosphere to the exciting fields and great scenario games they present to the players.
And oh yea, I almost forgot, Its FREE. They do not charge a field fee, EVER. I read some other reviews on this field and saw one that was extremely negative....I was not there when all this supposedly happened but I could never imagine the people i have met there ever treating anyone like that review says. I LOVE THIS PLACE| Last edited on Monday, May 10th, 2004 at 4:13 pm PST |

Todd and Donneeysa Adams run one of the Souths top paintball fields. They have everything you could want, and still don't charge a field fee....they ask that you buy paint and CO2 from them, and they are getting compressed air soon, but they do not enforce it with an iron fist like some other fields, and are glad to try and find any part or product you want at the best price they can find. As for actually playing paintball, you have many options at the Elite field: CQ, one of the largest and most elaborate CQ(speed ball) setups in the state, allows serious players to really use some planning and skill, and offers plenty of good bunkers for those seeking cover. Then you have the woods set up for those of us who like to get all decked out in camoflage. The woods have two large forts at opposite ends and well the game options there are basically limitless, especially if you incoprorate the CQ as a 3rd "fort". I don't know of any other filed in the area where you can have 3 ten man armies playing at the same time. The Adams are very safety minded (not sure what the poster below meant but...)I have played with them for over 3 years, they are sticklers for safe play, everyone chronos there gun multiple times throughout the day(290 and below is the norm here), the use of barrel plugs, and "goggles on" for all players AND spectators. Def. a fun place to play if you are a new player or an old "pro".
They also offer regular tournaments that have varying skill levels and mix it up nicely, such as 2 man, 3 man, 5 man teams and also timed scenario games like what we saw on Combat Missions on USA a while back.
I enjoy paintball about as much as I do anything, and honestly, I enjoy playing here more than anywhere else.| Last edited on Monday, May 10th, 2004 at 6:47 am PST |

WOW!!! Best one word to describe the field. I have been playing paintball for over 15 years, in three different countries, and have to say this is hands down the best field/environment I have played in. The fields are very diverse and set up for all skill levels. Very good place to “learn” how to play, everyone is very open with instructions. Friend or foe, everyone will give you the “inside track”, on the do’s and don’t of the field.
Now you have to remember the field had only been opened now going on four years, and really only started to be a “local” field, for fun. The owners have done a great job in making this a challenging fun field to play. I have to say this is one on the best speed ball fields I have ever played on, period. If you are into the woods play, then you will have to come play during the winter (no snakes), the woods course is awesome.
They are always improving, and have added a pro shop this year. They have GREAT prices on everything, and are not doing this for the “buck”, but the love of the sport. There is NEVER a field fee, and they have internet comparable prices on all items. The field is bring your on paint, buy it there, it doesn’t matter. The mind set it just show up and play.
Sorry, I had to be a little long, but the “haters” have been out in force knocking the field, and most have never played there, or based everything on one outing. If you’re in the area, or want to come up and give it a try, check out the website’s calendar for the next "rec" game date. Hope to see you there.

This is one of the best places to play. The owners Todd and Dee are two of the best. I have been going there for 3 years. The CQ is getting bigger and better. The prices are better than any around. Great all around place and people....
I suggest everyone come out and spread some paint. |

Nice place to play paintball ... not at all commerical - laid back place. They have a nice store front for their field and the courses are very nice too.
The CQ ( think thats what they called it ) was the best. Very large and laid out almost perfectly. Woods courses looked fun too. They ( the woods) were closed when we went due to the season - but the CQ is open year round , which we perferred anyways. It isn't like a speedball field , but it is - more tactial , yet fast and you could probably play 10 on 10 or more.
Super friendly regulars - nice group of guys that welcomed us and ask us to come back. The people running the games were awesome ! And D. ( they called her ) was the best! The owner plays while his wife runs the business - how cool is that ! He was a really good player too - as was alot of the guys there. All were really nice.
True , they dont fix guns , but we learned its not a commerical place and is advertised as so on their website - but they had just about everything you need - plus the store front was really inviting and plenty of places to just take it easy if you need a rest.
Super place - fun - nice folks - excellent prices !
AND NO FIELD FEE !!!! |
