Review: This place is great.

Fields- The fields are awesome, no 2 are the same. I have been there almost every weekend. They have 3 woodsball fields, 2 desert-type fields, a tire course kind of like speedball, and a speedball field out front. I was told that there is another speedball field on the way. All of the fields are thought provoking. Almost every time i go back, there is something added to the fields.

Refs- The refs are cool as hell. They have different types of games to play, and they actually care about us having fun. You call paint check on someone or yourself, and there will be a ref there, unlike Paintball invasion. They are willing to help out with whatever they can. The owners are pretty cool as well, always willing to help if you need it.

Pricing- Pricing is great. 30 dollars to come out after 12. 500 paintballs, all day air. Have my own stuff so it works out great. 60 dlrs for a case of Blaze paintballs, $20 for 500, and $35 for 1000. Its field paint only, which works out great (nobody has to worry about marbles or frozen paint).

I have a great time every time i go out, will continue to come. I give it a 9.

Review: Location- The field was extremely easy to get to. For me it was only about a 15 minute drive. I think it was only like 11 miles after getting off the parkway.

Prices- 30 Dollars for 500 balls and all day air if you have your own gun which isn't too bad. I think it was 48 for the same thing, except you got 1000 balls. If you use a rental gun its the same price, but all day air cost 5 dollars more. A case of paint was 60 dollars, which isn't that bad.

Staff- The refs were pretty cool. They actually seemed interested in peoples fun. Telling strategy, checking for hits, etc.

Fields- I generally liked most of the fields I played on. A few were a little cheesy, but there were some really good ones.

My BIGGEST complaint about the whole place is that there is nothing on their site saying field paint only. I brought a case of paint for my gun and the owner came out and said I couldn't use it. That really got me heated. When I mentioned to the owner that I checked his site and it said nothing about no outside paint, he insisted it was on there. So basically he lied to my face (I went back and checked the site when I got home). I can understand field paint only in rental guns, but for my gun I should be able to use what i want and what works best. It was a hot day and some of my paint was ruined because I couldn't use it and had to leave it out. If they do only have field paint, they should at least have a cheaper choice then 60$ for a case.

PS. Upon reading this, the owner will probably add "field paint only somewhere on the site just to make me look dumb, but I saved the pages and plan to show him next time I go here.

I gave this field a seven because of the owner lying to my face.

Review: this field is the best one is almost the best in south jeresy the refs are great and easy to get along with they now how to have a good time. they have lots of fields but my favorite ones are the dunes and the road and all the rest are ok. they do need to make better boundries instead of rope. the dont really have a proshop or food but they have drinks. there prices are a little high for paint but other than that its a good deal. I've heard they have night games but im not sure that would be cool. I recommend this field for woodsball players but they do have a speedball course thats nice. this was one of the best fields i have ever played at and i will definatly go back.

Review: This is a newer field so parts should be readily available. Seriously, though, this is a good field with loads of potential. I hope the owners are reading this. Don't stop, keeping putting effort into the field!!

The good:
Many fields all different; woods, speed, mishmash, thought provoking.
Prices are good. $30 includes a bag of balls and air if you have equipment $60 for a case of blaze paintballs. Paint seemed to fly pretty straight most of the time.
The owners. Nice people and willing to help out with what they can.

The bad:
They use stickers on the tanks to denote all day air, not happy about that.
No indication that the gun has gone through chrono
There is netting that surrounds all of the fields together, not individually, making it difficult to tell where boundaries are. There is a tent to remove your mask in in case of a goggle shot but it is off to one side, there is no quick exit from the field area once you are hit.
Safety, safety, safety...The refs are a little too laid back and are not enforcing the mask rules. In fact, there wasn't much of a pregame briefing on the rules at all. Many people would lift their masks after getting knocked out to try to clean them or to not have to look through them and the refs did not do much. In fact, the refs were doing the same thing as well at times. This is bad juju and needs to be stopped immediately. Lawsuits can occur in a blink of an eye. It has taken a long time for S Jersey to get a good field and I would hate to see it lost over someone elses stupidity.

Like I said, this is a new field and there are some growing pains but if the owners are in it for the love of the game, this will be and outstanding field in a short period of time.

I'm giving it an 8 because it is new. If it were an established field, I would go much lower.

Review: The Special-Ops field in Woodbine, New Jersey is a definite fun place for paintballers. Whether you're just starting out or are a seasoned pro it's a lot of fun. The referees are very laid-back, the one my group had was very cool and funny about stuff. He was very easy to talk to about pointers and stuff for help. The place has a website at njspecial-ops.com. Hours are 8am to 2pm and 6pm-10pm hours weekdays and that plus 12pm to 5pm weekends. It's $30 for 500 paintballs and all day free refills for 5 hours. You cannot bring your own paint due to safety precautions. The fields that the field has are all very very fun. There is one speedball course with another one in the works. They have a woodsball course, tire course, a course with tons of sand dunes, and a field called storm the hill. LOTS OF FUN!
