Hollow Buzzard is certainly a great place for beginners, but it might run them out of paintball due to high costs. Here are some examples:
30 dollar gun rental (Spyder)
6 dollar co2/ HPA fills
60-80 dollars per case
This was my first place I had ever gone paintballing, I was satisfied, but I wasnt the one paying for it!
Anyways, about the fields. They have two/three speedball fields. When I say two/three, its because they have a large speedball that can be divided into halves depending on how many players you have. They also have a nice woodsball course, and a huge scenario field, which I haven't had the chance to play on.
Overall, I would suggest going here if you have a somewhat deep pocket, and youre just looking for a fun time. If you are a tourney player, you probably already know about the other fields I mentioned. |

Ok 1 question, HOW ARE YOU STILL OPEN?!?!? I hate this place!
A case of paint is $70
A tank fill is over $6
A gun rental (Spyder 2000 :( ) is $30
The prices are ridiculous, do not go here, its all spools, no one is ever there.
Hollow Buzzard SUCKS! |

Positives:
Variety of fields, great scenario field (more spools than I could count), nice people.
Negatives:
Only 1 small tournament-style field, very hilly, overpriced (field and paint) for what you get, staff not especially knowledgable. $70 for a case of field-grade paint!
This is the closest field to my home, so I go there when my work won't allow me to be farther away long enough to enjoy a day of ballin'. You can have a fun day there, but you'll enjoy it less as you gain experience. |

It has got some great fields that are in the woods the only other cool thing is there is a big fort on one field but i think the fields is the woods is the best because it is all about being Quiet and knowing who is who Also the owners are very nice and kind. Also they are very know about anything about paintball. |

i went with themann2003 to hollow buzzard to thee scenario game. i really like HB's feilds, proshop, and service. hardly any waiting between games, which is great.
the bad side is that the day may cause u to shell out some cash--
$15 entry fee
$4 air fill
$70 for a case of good paint
overall this place is good...ive been going to it for awhile |

This was the first real paintball field I have played at, so it gets brownie points for that. It was a scenario game, and there scenario field by the way is amazing. So, my first impression was great.
They have 2 speedball fields as of now, one of which can be split into two halves, so yes, it is large. One includes a fort. They also have a forest ball field, which is also very nice.
The people that work there are very helpful and informative as well. They also are friendly and are very welcoming.
There are some downsides to the field, though. One is that the paint prices are near horrendous. A case and 500, meaning 2500 balls, is 85 bucks, a lot more than I ever want to pay. When you can get a case for 45 and 500 for about 15 of quality paint elsewhere...well, you do the math. Most of their pro-shop prices are also quite overpriced. Also, they are also only available, at the field and pro-shop, on weekends.
This field is nice, but due to prices and quality of paint, I believe I'm going to start going elsewhere. Check it out though, it's very nice. |
