The woodsball fields at GZ are the best around. I dont play speedball so I wont rate those fields for play, but they are well maintained from what I can see. Some of the players I went up against my last time actually playing there were a bit rude, but cant hold that against the feild owners. The proshop is awesome. Large selection of equipment and Lance is probably the best technician in the area. I would go there more but its a long drive from where I live. If you need a tech to work on your gun, go see Lance. You wont be disappointed.
i really enjoyed playing at ground zero. this is where i played my first game of paintball.i learned alot from Lance helping me out and by playing some of the more experienced players out there. this place opened up my eyes to paintball and has helped me in many ways. the fields are nice and the woodscourse is cool. it has an old but really fun to play on speedball field and the staff helped me with anything i needed. i remember when lance was really sick and he was puking but he still took time to fix my spyder and that showed me alot about this field. also cecil was very nice and kind to me and the other people that were with me. they showed me tactics that actually worked and helped me. the paint was like any good paint, expensive but good. i dont have a problem with the prices cause i work at Pee Dee Paintball and i know how expensive paint can be. overall i think this is one of the best fields in the country.
ground zero is probably the best field that ive been to.the refs are good. They have good gun techs and good prices.staff are friendly and the owners lance and cecel are easy to get long with. They are really fun to hang around with. There fields are nice too.
I played an indoor in Regiland and no comparison to GZ.
GZ is the best place for anyone in the Florence area. Reguardless of what anyone says, its a great place. Cecil does make good sandwhichs...burgers need a lil'work tho but nothing he cant fix(dont be mad Cecil). They teams are great useally they have enough people on spot to take care of ur needs but if not they still get the job done. Lance is a great technician on...a lil over everything. I give it a 10(scale of 1-10 for the morons who dont know). New Gen. has too much (no insult). Its perfect...noones complained other then cheaters.
I've been coming to Ground Zero for about 3 years now. I drive 2 hours to get there every weekend and it's worth it. Speed ball field is great, woods field is too, and before they had "controlled burnings" by the forestry commission, they had a great tower field that was like 20 acres. I love this place, and no other field in the state that I've been to can touch GZ with a 10 foot pole.
Go to GZ, you won't be disappointed. Trust me.

Heard alot of great things about the field so i decided to take some friends up to play. I know that i play just for fun but, I like to be treated with respect when im spending money. Talked bad bout the guns we were shooting and seemed to look down on us because we were young and enjoyed playing woods ball. (sorry everyone doesn't like speed ball)REF was ok but could tell he was out of our league. (Just by the way he talked). Have more fun playing in the woods at my house. (everyone is friendly there and gas and balls are cheaper) WE just like having fun. I know that they need to make money but 50 a case for a rec ball i can buy for 30. Seems steep. I'll stick to woods ball.
If you play with high price guns not tippmann 98 or spyders and like speed ball go have a blast. If you like playing hard nose woods ball with vines and briers and low budget stay home and play. (Sorry cant afford a 1000 gun but have just as much fun with my tippy)
i have played at paintball usa. Ground zero is like 10 times better than paintball usa. Ground zero has a nicer staff and they are always willing to help. At ground zero you don't always feel like you have to pay for something small all the time.
Ground zero has a friendly staff. They got lance which by the way is a great technician. Everytime i went there he has always put in an helping hand. He has always been so nice and he gave us some of the up to date info in paintballing. Cecil has also been nice he has always been there to help even if he is aging fast. No offense just saying that your still a fully running nice person. There fields our great and i love the junkyard and the speed ball field it is pretty fun
Hey Lance and Cecil, this is Michael Parker i hope you member me i am the one that had the green spyder flash now i have an Angel Speed and you cooked dinner for me and my mom about a couple of months ago i think when we came by there and played, and i play for Team Air Force One. Everyone i just want to say that this is one of the best paintball stores i have ever been to. I love their staff Lance and Cecil, are one of the best group of guys that anyone could ever meet. There fields are nice and there store has lots of cool stuff. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. And I hope to come out there soon to see you guys again!

Only field in area except the new Painball USA that opened last week. Haven't had a chance to get to it though.
Very friendly staff. Cecil is great, and Lance is an expert with almost any gun. They always try and make every time you play a great experience. They even travel and take their bunkers, refs, and equipment to parties and school events. They have a large supply of equipment in their proshop including guns, hoses and air hookups, nitrogen tanks, co2 tanks, barrels and paint. If you're hungry or low on gas no problem. Their complex includes a gas station and convienence store with sandwitches and drinks. Their fields include air bunker fields, a half woods/half bunker field, and woods ball. Great for any type of scenario. Definitly worth going to.
I have played at a few fields in the area and this by far the best. The Airball fields are top-notch,and they are working on making them better. They are in the process of building two more fields.A 5 man and a 10 man.Their gun tech.(Lance)is always willing to help with any problems or questions you may have. And don't forget to speak to the Godfather(Cecil),how is always in good spirits.
This is by far the nicest place to go play around here.It has plenty of parking, and staging areas. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You have all you need for a great day of paintball.Including a convience store. They will even make sandwitches.World famous bologna sandwitches.(lol)
