This park has closed recently. Hope to see other parks learn from ACP's mistakes and make their parks better and more friendly and involved. From what I heard there wasn't much buisness, the events weren't the best due to the park owners not giving out great prizes for scenerion events, like last year they gave pods out. They used horrible paint, stingers, or worse. Team TAT has discussed and came to the vote of giving this field a 2 scoring out of 10. |

I have been playing this field sense April of 2006. There is a Speedball field with wood bunkers and plastic piping. A new Safety net has been installed. Shade tents are on hand for players waiting area.
The first Woodsball field has tall underbrush but trails have been cut for ease of traveling. There are many bunkers and 2 story towers on this field. The safety area is large and has wooden spools for tables and sitting. The chrono table is right out side the safety netting for ease of use.
The second woodsball/scenario field is large with about 15 acres to play in. This field hasn't seen much play in the past so was very over grown with underbrush.
Some of the Bunkers were run down but have been strengthened, cleared of debri and trails have been cut opening up areas for ease of movement. The far North side of the field has new bunkers painted in camo colors. these bunkers include a Communications center, An Ammo Dump, A prop Mortar pit, A POW camp with a machine gun platform and scattered pallets. There are some really great spots for sniper hides.
The North side also has a Safety area so players can keep there gear close at hand and the staff has a Jeep that they use to run a filling station, water resupply or anything that is needed on that side.
ACP Warfield is open Saturday and Sunday from 0900-1700 ( 9am to 5pm) Prices are $5.00 field fee, $20.00 for 500pbs, $80 for 2000pbs, $15.00 for rentals. I'm not sure of the foods prices but they stock candy bars, chips, some soda, Gatorade and water.
The rules are pretty straight forward. 280fps, 20 foot rule ( I think a 10 foot rule would be plenty safe, but this is there rule for extra safety) Barrel bags only, FPO, and Goggles on out side of the safety netting at all times.
There isn't a proshop per-say, but there is enough knowledge from the staff and regulars that most problems are fixed or identified. They have even loaned out rentals or traded out rentals for a game or 2 while the problem was being worked out.
The regular refs are knowledgeable and consistant. The regular players are friendly and help other less experienced players. everyone has a great time from what I see.
The staff is great to talk to, helpful and watches out as best as they can for everyone's safety on and off the field.
I give this field an 8 because the past few months have seen great changes in the layout but I think a few different game styles will add a lot of flavor to the field. They mostly offer elimination or grab the flag games now.
They do offer Scenario games about once a month.| Last edited on Friday, August 18th, 2006 at 7:08 pm PST |

ok well i played there its a ok field just not the best one i played i come from a area where that field would look like a pvt land game and how it was ran could be a lil better now but hard telling paint is really high for that area where u pay a case of paint at CPX the best field known to man in chi-town in IL but i played there with team elite had a great time with them but just wasnt the best field in my outlook of it paintball the staff were good there but for playing i give it a 3 could be alot better with some work to it |

This is a great field, the refs are very friendly, their woodsball fields are pretty good but are getting a little run down but it is still fun. About twice a year they have a big game and raffle off great prizes, i won a tippmann A-5 at the last one they gave away jerseys and harnesses and goggles too. Their website is very helpful and the forum is fun to post in. They dont have an inflateable field but their speedball field is wire spools and hyperpipe. Their paint is a little outrageous at $80 a case but it is still a fun time, go here and have fun!! |

I've been playing there alot this summer, and I have no clue what the guy above me is talking about. The staff is GREAT. The first day I went there, I found out that I had a bad o-ring on my bolt, and Mary Beth, the owner, was just about to go ref, but completely trusted me and let me crawl through the window of the building and let me get a new one. IM really stressing the the staff is like no other, they are GREAT.
The Guy above me was also talking about getting out of the heat. I'm not quite sure what he meant by that.. its VERY shady back in the woods Field... and it's summer, its always gonna be hot.
Positives: Staff, Uniqueness of bunkers, size of fields, low Field fee, allowed to bring own concessions, good atmosphere, good veterans,
Negatives: No proshop, Little concessions, paint prices are a little high

I went to ACP with two friends for my birthday. One of the kids had been there before and me and the other kid hadn't been there yet. We got out there about 1 P.M. and bought our paint and such and got down and of course Team Elite was there. They were awsome and we were scared to play with them so we played a round with some other guys. The first round my team got killed and I got hit from about 10-15 feet away twice in the back and once in the goggles. This field has a great layout. Many bunkers and trees to hide behind, there are towers and walls it is a great place. I never got to play speedball or the second field there net was too low for speedball and the other field {field blue} they only opened it once a bunch of kids for a birthday party came to play and then Team Elite went to "field blue". There speedball field is all big spools that were used for wires. This field is fun for anyone but watch out because they have a lot of expirienced players there. The vetrens are really nice and will help you out with anything. The refs are nice and teach you all the rules but one tip of advice know what the refs are wearing otherwise you will think they're playing { i shot a ref 3 times}. This field doesn't really have a pro shop but has a friendly staff and ok facilities. The prices for this field are $5.00 for field addmission $22.00 for 500 paintballs {good balls i didn't have a break all day!} $80.00 for a case of paint{2000 paintballs} .75 and &1.25{ i think} for pop and you are allowed to bring food and your own pop or water which is nice. My overall rating is a 9 because of the facilities and no pro shop. Overall great field, if you enjoy paintball you will enjoy this field. |

I started playing here about a year ago. The fields are pretty good, although they are slowly depleading. They need to get a new layout or new bunkers or something. I dont know but if they could improve their forest field they would attract a lot more business. Their speedball field is ok. Its good on the left side and the middle but the right side snake needs some improvement. Also, I can't wait until they get thier new speedball field in! I hope its done by the summer so i can play it! Over all this field is above average but could use a litttle improvement. Also, id like to say that im sorry about the loss of Pete in feb. im sry about that guys. he was a great man and i looked up to him. i hope you can keep his legacy allive! |

In my opinion this field is a 6.5 to 7 range at the moment. The recball fields are decent but nothing to "bust a move" about. The staging area and building isn't too professional and I think that speaks for the field in general. The Staff are okay and I can tell that they mean well. The Speedball field seems to be Okay but I don't play dat way.
The layout is pretty muddy due to its low lying location which is also near a stream..or a river. The parking etc. is all affected by this. Not too pretty.
Having said all this, I think the 04 season will either be a maker or a breaker for this field. I wish this field all the best because I plan on playing there a lot this year ..mainly because of location. This field hasn't reached its full potential and I hope that they will strive to improve. I only wish they drew the amount of players that AJs have. Their location isn't that bad really...just off of I-35 south of DSM They have a website but it is rarely updated but the forum receives a little attention. COME ON ACP, RISE TO THE OCCASION BECAUSE---"U CAN DO-IT!"

i played this field just this afternoon, and it was awesome, barring getting shot in the neck (thanks alot guys). The speed ball course was awesome, like nothing i've ver played, although i became paranoid by the end of the day. Other than that, it was really great, it really got my adrenaline pumping. the guys working there were really nice, and basically answered all my questions, no matter how stupid they were. Oh, and i'm pretty sure winchester, the guy who posted above me, whas my ref, keap on truckin winchester!

The fields there are very cool. They have 2 woods fields and a speedball course. The woods have tons of bunkers, from 2-story buildings to snakes to fox holes. The speedball cousre has awesome angles. I don't know what that one guy was talking about when he said all of the bunkers were the same. The staff there are very nice guys, very helpful and informed. I have yet to see a field with better prices, also. I would really suggest this field if you want to have fun playing paintball.| Last edited on Tuesday, August 19th, 2003 at 8:58 am PST |
