This was my first time playing paintball in several years. I can't believe it has been this long, but I guess having kids will do that to you!
I used to play Predator and a few other public places that apparently have since closed. Played a lot in HS and college.
Review:
We went as a group to Xtreme a few weeks ago and as a whole we had a very nice time. I was going with a group of first-timers so rather than being the only guy with my own equipment I elected to rent everything from the field. I was a little concerned this would be a big mistake as i am sure we all have stories of having a day ruined by the brass eagle pea shooter a lot of places throw at you. however as it turns out the stock markers, equipment and paint weren't bad at all considering they were rentals.
The mask I had was a relatively late model V-tech and other than fogging up a lot it was fine. The kid who had it before me was definitely a sweaty mess though ;p
The vest they rented me for $10 was pretty crappy. However they provide unlimited pods so that was a nice touch.
Right off the bat when you walk up the hill to the facility you get a nice smell of the barbecue they had going pretty much all day. I didn't eat any of the food - but it smelled good :-)
The staff were all polite and friendly. On the day we went, most of the people there were clearly experienced airsoft players. There were about 20-30 paintballers, most of whom first timers or relatively new to the sport. This was nice as everything was quite relaxed.
The handfull of regulars there were all really nice and the refs did a good job splitting up teams while keeping friends together when possible.
The airsoft crowd were friendly as well - especially considering they had to pause their games a few times while we cut through where they were doing their thing.
The fields themselves are quite fun and well maintained. OSHA might have a thing or two to say about the loose and broken boards on the bridge between the town area and the hyperball field but that isn't an active play area so i doubt it's a real health-risk.
The capture the flag town was very cool. I particularly liked the school bus and the fridge! The hyperball (i think it was field2 we played on) was also quite fun. Well maintained and designed.
On the whole, like I said, we had a nice time. If i had to complain about something I suppose it would be that we did quite a bit of standing around. In the 3-4 hours we were there we really only got in 2 full games (one woodsball and another hyperball) and while people were airing up about half of us played a quick 3rd game. It did feel like we were doing a lot of "hurry up and wait." A few people in my group were mildly irked with the standing around, but nobody was too upset. It was probably a combination of lack of organization on our part as much as it was on theirs. Definitely not a huge deal, but if it was the same way the next time or 2 i went back i would probably start to get frustrated.
Do be aware that they are a field-paint only facility. This is a bummer for me as i am pretty particular as to what i want to use in my autococker...
If you are bringing your own gear they are going to charge you $20 which includes free air but you're going to need to buy their paint which is $15/500 and $50/2000
the paint seemed fine in the rental i had - but i didn't think to check the brand or bore size to see how i'd feel about putting it in my own marker.
That includes air so bottom line, you and a friend bringing your own gear could probably split a case and play for a day for a total of $45 each.
That being said they do a million special offers - students, groups, military, birthdays etc. so chances are you can get in cheaper. For example I got in for about $30 all included with a Groupon.
They also offer a pro-rated yearly membership for $70 which gets you $5 off field fees, 10% off paint in addition to other discounts. So basically it pays for itself if you play 7 times a year. Sooner if you take advantage of the other member benefits.

I've been playing paintball for many years on the tourney level, and rec ball. This is the best field I've played at yet, and they are constantly improving. They have two incredible scenario fields. One is a giant city, complete with two story buildings and various other "props" such as tires and cars. The other field is a large walled in castle with a three story keep complete with a balcony over the second story. They also have many other fields to fit the needs of the customers such as Hyper ball, woods, and very soon two speed ball courses.
The field is growing in popularity and the crowd turn out varies between 30 to 100 players on a saturday.
What makes this field extremely unique is the open minded attitude of the owners who have turned this area not only into a top notch scenario driven field, but have also embrassed the rising popularity of Airsoft and have found a way to mingle the airsoft players with the paintbal players. There is a sense of competition between the airsoft players and the paintball players as each group tends to argue their own point of who's game format is better.
If there were any faults it would be the complaint I have heard of the lack of refs. The field is still very new to the area so the owners are continually working out the kinks.
The overall enviroment is relaxed and good natured. I would recomend this field to all players both experienced and new to the sport.
i heard this field from a good friend of mine, so we check it out. and this place TOPS all the other places i went to look at, and this place is freaking awesome! the people are great! and the refs are good (sometimes over crowded, but they TRY their best to make the best of everyone's experience) honestly, i don't think there's a better field then this.

This field is set up purely for profit. The guest service is horrible. The management will not honor tickets from a company they have have subcontracted to sell . They turned us away at the gate after we paid a $300.00 "reservation fee" and paid $150.00 for the tickets. so we paid $450.00 and have nothing to show for it. RUN, don't walk away from this facility.
