I have played at AAA, and Mt Doom, and this is by far the best of the three. The whole layout of the land is great, and their new city field is sure to be a big hit! Come check them out, I guarantee it is money well spent!
This paintball field is AMAZING! They have very helpful refs, which is crucial in keeping games smooth and running fast. Their fields are very well laid out. Their Trenches field is my personal favorite, however, the fort and grass field come in very close, followed by deep woods and tires. When they complete their City field I am going there as much as I possibly can! When I went, they ordered pizza for lunch, it was amazing also. Come check these guys out, they are the best in North Alabama so far!
Mt. Doom, AAA, Shocco Springs, Beyond Imagination-- This one is better. Hurricane Mountain is still pretty new and right now they already have five fields in use and they are building four more currently including a city field with awesome looking potential. Their pro shop is a much nicer block building stocked with paintball supplies, snacks, and drinks. They also have a covered pavilion with many picnic tables.

Hurricane Mountain just opened in September and are well on their way to being a fantastic field. They have five great fields in play right now, with many more to come and are open to your suggestions.
Tall Grass AKA Grassland: The tall grass field at first glance looks like a simple play, but with its chest to head high grass, cut paths, north ridge, and south creek it is much more challenging than it looks. You have to always be on your guard or you will stumble across a player on the other team hiding in the grass.
Tires: This field resembles a junkyard with stacks of tires, bed liners, hoods, bumpers, and a run down mini van that is in play. It's a fast-paced speed ball-style game. The fast-paced style makes it one of my favorite courses at Hurricane Mountain.
Deep woods: This is a small packed in woods ball field. It has a creek that surrounds it on three sides with a fence on the other and a large downed tree in the middle. It is a very challenging course. You have to be sneaky to get close enough to get a good shot. Interesting course to play.
Fort field: This is a large field with opposing forts on either side with pallet structures and hay bales throughout the course. Both forts have second levels to play from which make them pretty cool. Either fort can be played on its own in an attack and defend game or together in a huge capture the flag game!
Trenches: This course is my other favorite with the tires course. It's a series of trenches and mounds of dirt that provides a real challenge. It's a fast-paced fluid game. Pretty soon a new element will be added and I'm looking forward to it. You'll have to see for yourself.
Fields coming soon: The field I am most excited about in the future is the city field. To start with their is supposed to be 20 something buildings that will be used for all kinds of scenarios. The buildings will be one and two story buildings of all different sizes. The city field is supposed to be ready by January of 2010.
They are also putting together two speed ball fields along with a construction field with concrete pipes, barrels, and spools.
Hurricane Mountain really is a great paintball course and is getting better by the day. You really need to come check out this new course in Jacksonville.
By the way the owner and staff are always passing out free play passes around Jacksonville so keep you eyes open for them! The owner drives a white Tahoe with the Hurricane Mountain logo on the back - if you see him ask him to hook you up! His name is Tim.
