Review:
I played there one time last summer when they first opened. We did the Friday Night Lights on the illuminated X-Ball Field. If you go on the Cousins Web site and look at the photos for New Windsor, my group is in those photos. Cousins' corporate folks were there taking the pictures that night. They have big plans for turning this former golf course into a premier field.
The club house was sparsely stocked, but to be fair, as I said they had just opened. There are real restrooms. Priced were quite good for the Friday Night promotion. Great refs that night who got right into the action. They did have a little trouble keeping some of the bunkers filled and took a little time to pump them up between rounds. They did a good job keeping the action moving. We alternated between two big groups and the games went fast enough that by the time you caught your breath from your last fight the other group was just finishing up and you headed back out. Night play adds an element to the speedball play and the guys in the blue coveralls were nearly invisable once it got dark.
I cant speak to any of the other fields because they were not open yet. Behind the parking lot is a very large deflated inflatable building. One of the corporate guys says they plan on refubishing and reinflating this building and using it for indoor winter play. I got the impression that was a long term plan though.
