Review:
Brand new field to PEI offering 4 fields - 3 urban setups (The Village, POW camp and the Junkyard) and a growing woodsball field. With this new field comes the long awaited expansion of paintball on PEI as for nearly 20 years, PEI only had one major field.
The Village - single story buildings in the four corners with a "crack" house in the center, with tire bunkers, crates, and round hay bails dotted throughout.
POW Camp - 2 story tower at one end with a school bus in the center, long grass throughout. Various tire barricades scattered tin between.
Junkyard - 5 cars, 3 buses(one on each end, one in the center) make up the field, scattered throughout with hay bails, crates and a few tire barricades in between.
The Woods - recently updating the woods to add more paths with forts being build on each end, with bunkers in between. Typical Canadian woodland.
Rental markers are Tippmann 98's, brand new, and VForce goggles are offered for protection. Prices are slightly cheaper than the other fields.
20-Rental with 100 paintballs
Gun owners just buy paint and CO2 (no HPA, looking to add it in the 2011 season)
no walk on fee
The field owner can also order anything you need through his supplier, markers, gear, etc. They sell pop and chips and have an on site BBQ and there is a port-a-potty on the premises (very clean one at that!) The owner is a super nice guy that wants to promote paintball across the island with the help of the other fields that are starting to spring up across the Island this past summer.
Safety is strictly enforced, with masks on when on the field and when coming off, barrel plugs/bags are required before entering the staging area. Waivers are signed before playing.
Overall this field is a great addition to the growing sport of paintball on PEI. i gave it an 8 out of 10 cause with anything, there is always room for improvement.
