I was hoping to find a field in the Wausau area that we could use for a team home field. Unfortunately, I called Crossfire today (6/29/07) to get more information and was informed that they are NO LONGER DOING BUSINESS. I asked if they knew of any fields open in the Wausau area, and it looks like we are out of luck :-( |

I'd have to say for my first time paintballing and such at a field, this place was great. Field/C02 fee was fairly cheap at 15$. The speedball coarse has a very unique feel to it. I love the ragtag way it was built. And the one woods coarse I played on was awsome, large, plenty of bunkers, stream bed, could be used for good scenerio games. Gun rental is fairly priced at 10$ and the paint isn't too pricey. You also have the option to bring your own paint. And I consider no refs as a plus too, refs can be such a drag sometimes. I look forward to going back here when the weather lightens up. I would recommend this field to anyone. |

This is the first field I ever played at. I went with a bunch of college buddies, and it was amazing. The speedball field is fast and fun. It is a little cheaply built, but still had movement. The woods fields are incredable!! I would say that they are the best in Wisconsin... There is a thick popple field with a creek bed and it was intense, there are several bunkers on both ends. There is also a woods field that is a large open maple stand with mounds. The paths are open and in good shape. The fields are clean and maintaned. I would recommend this field to anyone, but you may want to call first to make sure that people are there, it is a little secluded. |

This field was very fun. It is currently expanding, but with what was there, everything was awesome. Playing in the woods with the crick was great. The speedball field doesn't look like much, but it's actually set up pretty well. Paint prices are pretty good, but it is also BYOP if you would like. One thing, is that you better have a decent size group and call ahead of time to tell Dave you're coming out, or you might not have a day of play. I was just a solo walk on, but I made sure ahead of time it would be alright that I play with the group that was there. There weren't any refs, but everybody was very trustworthy, nobody wiped or cheated. Why can't everyone be like that?| Last edited on Monday, October 6th, 2003 at 4:02 pm PST |
