balls 2 the wall-not the nicest refs but good field, like cape cod better
maynard-terrible refs, very mean and don't anwser any questions
Ok lets get something straight the 2 kids below be are liers because the refs brent and pt that work there are really nice and really helpful and they are really good with saftey and they are really good at paintball, i went to a birthday party there on sunday and the owner john was refing for a couple games in the morning and then brent and pt showed up and it was just great having them there to help you and give u tips to do better and they didn't make fun of anyone and they don't steal at all and i would no because went to school with them last year and at paintball they r just great refs and really nice to everyone that plays there and i dought that they really did wut those kids said they did. they r prob. just mad cuz brent and pt prob. beat them when they played so don't go posting bad reviews on ppl cuz they r better than u at paintball
Fox 4, much better
P&L, much better
Balls to the walls, much better
Directions to the Field:
I dont know
John the owner is a nice man the kids on his team are very harsh (p-t)(brent) would steal are paint shoot us off the field. would make us shoot each other when we didnt want to. There safety was bad. there wallmart paint was 65$ but the price for all day air and playing wear good. p-t and brent made fun of me of my wieght and that was very bad and i am probily not going back.
Fox4, much better.
Maynard Paintball, much better.
Friendly Fire, worse.
Boston Paintball, much better.
Directions to the Field:
Right off the Bourne rotary you will see a sign that says Cape Cod Paintball Meets Here. Go up that road.
READ THIS JOHN ( owner of field ) i want him to know how his locals treat others.
To start off, almost the entire fields players were at a tournement the weekend i went, so we were the only people there besides 2 locals... one who is on the team which the owner owns/ sponsors. It was me my friend and my other friend and two locals. One named P-T and one called Brent.
The two locals were complete jerks. They basically worked for the field but all they did was steal your money and your paint. They mocked my friend for being fat and stole his paint that he got so mad he just left. Me and my other friend stayed but we were getting mad also. John says his field is to get people into the sport at an affordable price, well hes wrong about that when your getting made fun of and getting the paint that you buy stolen from you.
As far as saftey goes, no offense but theres basically none. John got us all chronyed up but goggles, werent the biggest concern anywhere. Chrony was all goggles off. John even had nothing on. After were all set under the limit John goes inside and watches his movies while P-T and Brent ref us. They are also told to play us but not go to hard... thats a dream... they went all out and then made me and my friend bunker eachother and we both shot eachother from at the most 2 feet away, while the "refs" sat there and laughed at our little game which they said would be fine. Did i mention the "refs" had no goggles on and were talking on their cellphones? They then kept pestering us to give them money for soda and our paint and some pizza which was ordered. The pizza wasnt bad. Then they took a bag of my friends paint and hid it while my friend went on and on about how he thought they stole his paint. Which they did and when my friend left, whatdoyaknow the bag of paint pops up under a table...hmm. Off the field googles off barrel PLUGS/socks OFF!!! OFF!!! P-T or brent didn't care about that and they even threatend to shoot eachother when neither had goggles on... They were jerks to all 3 of us and took advantage of us.
The prices are ok.... but FPO and $65 for some wall mart paint is not good... but sundays are BYOP. $30 all day air and entrance is ok... but still there are much better in many other places.
Fields are good but we only got to play on 2 (speedball and hyperball) since the "refs" didnt want to play on anything else but i hear they have a satellite and a village field. No grass though just dirt so forgetabout sliding or diving.
THE ALL TIME BEST PaRT ABOUT THIS FIELD IS JOHN, BESIDES HIS DIREGARD FOR SAFETY HE CAN SERVICE ALMOST ANYTHING AND HELP YOU NO MATTER WHaT.
Inconclusion if you like playing paintball with only 1 eye come here but i would come for the service and not the game... many other places to go... sorry John but it had to be said.
East Coast paintball, Providence painball, Apache paintball, numerous paintball fields in New Hampshire and Vermont. I've played paintball since I was 20 years old I am now 43.
See posting below"" I would like to point out a few things about this persons posting. I just want to mention a few things this is not in any shape or form a verbal attack on your comments. I've been to Cape Cod paint ball many times and I stopped going back due to a few reasons. East Coast paintball opened up and was highly professional from their staff on the field as well as their many pro shops in several locations. Unfortunately they closed due to some unknown for scene circumstance. You mention that you worked there as a ref to play for free I think that's a great thing but I find it rather disheartening and superfluous due to the fact of the language you use in this posting. If I was the owner and you used the language and the attitude that you wrote on the field in front of eight year old children I would've fired you on the spot. Enough said about that issue I do find that paintball fields around the country have went to buying and using field paint only is rather discourteous to the game. We all go out and spend thousands of dollars on high end markers and then we are expected to shoot the crappy as paint on earth. Plus be charged exuberant fees for the paint. Wholesale the average case of pain costs between 30 and $40 for the high-end paintballs then a market up $20-$30 because it's convenient and located on the field. You are right about a few things in your posting which I totally respect and understand the Ref is fully in charge of all activity on the field as well as abiding by the fields rules and safety guidelines. This is a reliability on the owners responsibilities for ensuring and having insurance for the field. If you cannot abide by the rules you deserve to be informed one time to put your mask down and if it's the second time you should be told that you're out until the next game. Then whoever is in charge not the ref because the ref may hold some feelings inside and the player may be disgruntled that he was asked to leave the field. So the supervisor should inform the player that these other rules if it happens again you'll be asked to leave. This stops anyone from complaining and stopping the game due to two peoples different opinions and attitudes about the call. If you are stealing from the field all you're doing is costing the people who pay more money because the owner needs to increase his fees to cover his losses because of you.
I find the field rates as a good field for outdoor play your speedball on the other hand needs a little work. Also I have to point out that your staff is not highly motivated on the field Ref your games. I do enjoy playing their but I wish you had the chance to play at East Coast paintball was a highly professional staff and the field was very well kept. The owner invested his money into his team and his field. It doesn't seem to me this is just my opinion that Cape Cod invests their money into their field as much as their pocket. I think you could offer days where semi pro or intermediate players could bring their own paintballs in to use and if you that hard up for money charge us $10 extra for us bringing in our own paint. Like I said this is my own comments and I hope I do not sway or change anybody's mind about the field like I said it is great just needs to be kept up and prices should be lowered thank you for your time
"quote from other posting" friend. You do something wrong like o i dont know..... steal paintballs, hell throw you down to the ground, sit on you, and then wait for the cops to come....The downtime is from the players not the reffs, the faster you get your sh*t together and get ready we can play more games, we are always ready and one thing youll hear alot is "whenever your ready just line up over here", we try to make it convient for the players. I have never experience this bad tech issue....When i was first starting out i had a walmart gun, it broke in the begining of the day and they let me rent a gun while they tried to fix it. When I went to go try to pay for the rental and the tech looking at it, they said they didnt fix it so to not worrie about it....they also offered me a deal on a tippmann A-5. And a A-5 was a 250 dollar gun and they never looked at me like im a fool. We try to give a veriety to the players, which involes 12 fields, 6 speed ball and 6 woods type things but with bunkers and forts...spools and hyperbol is almost like speedball. And no, we are sorry but the speedball fields are not open every day, it takes an hour to blow up one field and they are not going to do it if it is raining or they are not going to if it is raining or something....Also you have to remember one of those speedball fields cost 32""
although cape cod paint ball costs allot its a great place to go especially in the summer they have allot of great fields the reffs are decent and they Oder pizza. its a very safe place to play and the rules are enforced. also they have a okay pro shop they fix guns and have a small secection to choose from.
PnL (Better fields, similarily high prices)
Camp Paintball (WAY better prices, nice selection of fields)
Directions to the Field:
Right off the Bourne Rotary, up the hill (watch the major potholes).
Safety: Well enforced. Ref's very vigilant, and would remind anyone who didn't have a sock or mask on. They didn't keep a very close eye on some people, and some of the games were confusing (they didn't tell us how much time we had left, so people stayed hidden thru the entire game), and on one occasion, a ref told the other team where we were hiding... Not cool.
Fields: Pretty decent selection. They were working on the airball fields, which wasn't a problem for me, as I prefer woodsball. Each field is played twice, with teams switching sides each time.
Prices: Pretty darn awful. $65/case for Wal-Mart paint that was dimpled, and hotboxed. They "Ran out" of good paint, and didn't get any in until half-way thru the day. It screwed up a lot of the other players hoppers (the eyes couldn't see the paint) and broke in a lot of guns. Most of the guys out there were pretty disappointed. Its FPO, but their friends and the workers who were playing brought their own. Field fee was $30 with all day air, which is $10 more than Camp Paintball.
Facilities: Proshop was small, but had decent stuff. Prices were high, but not awful.
Food: They ordered Pizza, but at $2/slice, I passed.
Overall: I don't think I'll go back. Paint was too $$, low quality, and the confusion with what could have been the best game sealed the deal. Make the drive to Camp Paintball or PnL, its worth it.
Directions to the Field:
right of the rotary on the left after the bourne bridge
Safety:safety is extremley in-forced at this field
Fields: Awsome airball fields, crappy woods field
Prices: they suck you spend at least $100 every time you go their
rules: are in-forced
services:no one there does crap for you, the big guys in the trailer are always to busy eating twinkies and watching tv
proshop:extrmley epsensive, about $1 per AA battery
staff: there horrible they dont do any thing for you
Refs: The refs have no clue wtf there talking about or how to ref, There all kids and obvisouley have no clue how to ref, and none of them have ever had experince in tourney ball.
players: always good people there
Food: they order pizza
Descirption:This field is absolutley horrible mainley because, of the fact that im a tourney baller, and i know that monster balls is not $65 paint nor is white box, and because, the refs are horrible, there 13/14 year old kids who think they know everything about paintball and are good because, they shoot tippmans lmao.
6 Years ago this place was the best place ever to play paintball, Ever since then it has gotten worse and worse. Now they charge $65.00 per case for a $22.00 case of paint and most of it is crushed and if you have a gun that is electronic dont even think about putting it in your gun! The broken paint gets all over your seeing eyes in your gun and hopper and it does not fly staight at all. I respect the refs and how strict they are about masks and barrel condoms because you can get hurt very easily. I also like the staff but sometimes I think they run the place wrong. Last time I was there I was at the first Senario event, me and about 10 of my friends came over all the way from Marthas Vineyard and when we got there it was already raining. We said hell with it and played anyway, not many people showed up and it was canceled after about 5 hours of play, we were told to come back the next day... We didnt want to spend 100 bucks on a hotel room so we just went home and didnt get a refund or anything... I think it was a joke. Overall Cape Cod Paintball is an O.K. place, they have good feilds but the prices are really bad and dont think about asking for a refund.
Ive been playing paintball for quite a while and Cape Cod Paintball is a good place to go play. They have many good and bad fields, they have woods-ball and air-ball both very good. Its 35$ Rental gear but its 65$ for 2000 rounds of paint! There are alot of rules because refs are into keeping everyone safe. It has a nice proshop that sells items from guns to next guards, and the players are very nice.
Awesome place. 160 acres. 10 woodsball feilds, and 6 airball feilds. Each airball feild is changed at least once between every NEPL event. Staff is really good. I reff there and understand we can be jerks. But that only happens if you dont follow the rules. Constantly taking your mask of on the feilds and taking your barrel sock off in the staging area will not get you on our good side. Great service, if you have any marker problems they can fix it for you in the shop. The staging area is very spacious so you can spread out. Has many local and regional tournaments every year, along with fundraisors, scenerio games, and special events. It may take a while between games but thats only when the players sit around taking for ever to get ready. If you want to start playing again go ask a reff and theyll hurry everyone up. Great place. Try it out.
