Both Staff and players are really nice. Whenever you need a part or missing something, people are quick to help you out. The staff is awesome, and are eager to help out players that are new to the sport. They play music!! PROS: -Great for both type of paintballers (recy/woods and speed/airball) -Nice people! Staff, players and spectators are all nice! -Great learning experience! If you are new, people help you out and if you are a tourny baller, people give you alot of pointers. -Alot of really skilled players! (It seems like it should go it the "cons" section, but that's how you better at the sport, play people that are better) -Woodsball field is once of a kind! Amazing set-up, I've never seen a better woodsball field! -It has a pretty good ground in the speedball, but I think it could you a little more grass, but still pretty good. -Honest players! -Prices are not bad at all! -Music!!! CONS: -It only has only one air hose for HPA tanks, and doesn't seem to work all the time (they find other ways to get you air though) -The paint isn't the best to shoot, but it does work. -They need to get more bunkers in the airball field, like different kinds. More Dorito's, aztecks etc. Overall, I think this field is awesome! I play here twice a week and love it!! Great for everyone,. old and young! VERY family friendly! Splay Action is the way to go!! AOA07 Sunday, July 19th, 2009 Period of Field Use: 1 year    Last There: July 19th, 2009 Paintball Experience: 2 years Review: Excellent Field! Lots of field to play, depending on preference. This paintball field has a airball field, a smaller speedball field, and huge woodsball field! Almost every game type played here. Refs are very friendly, and have no problem taking some more time to explain rules. The new forts are spectacular. Players ranged from first timers to experienced. I got there at around 10am and played all the way until it started getting dark. The best and most enjoyable field i have been too. 10 out of 10 for sure! 13oom13oom13oom Friday, August 22nd, 2008 Period of Field Use: 6 months    Last There: August 10th, 2008 Paintball Experience: 3 years Other Fields in the Area: Warpaint International Review: I've always look forward to the next big event at Splat Action so I can drive down their and put in a good weekend of paintballing. This field has a very reliable and friendly staff whose main goal is to ensure that those who are paintballing on their field have a good time even if they know they wont turn a profit. As for the quality of the terrain i consider it top notch because of the variance and good construction of its features. Great field. I gave it a 9 out of 10 btw. I went out for the Oregon Washington civil war game the field is large so it is capable of handling a lot of people with out feeling crowed and it is very well set up with the different bunkers and bases that are set up plus the shrubs and trees around make it easy to hide from incoming paint balls (sometimes) from what i have seen it is a friendly field and just a lot of fun Report as Inappropriate - Dispute It 0 Comments - Add Comment

Riot_up Thursday, February 21st, 2008 Period of Field Use: 6 months    Last There: May 8th, 2007 Paintball Experience: 2 years Other Fields in the Area: portland paintball, HAS paintball Review: Well the field itself is amazing. Very diverse and open, it has a lot of potential to have some truly great games played on it. Sadly it's poorly managed, I went to last years civil war game and was very disappointed, the game itself was poorly organized and turn into chaotic unorganized shootouts. Cheating went pretty much unchecked and at times it seemed the refs were better off used as cover then for actually reffing. There were no real objectives and as far as the scenario itself was rather hallow and uninspired. This is really sad because the field itself is really great and has a lot of potential, but until things get a little more organized and under control I don't think i'll be attending any more scenario games at splat action anytime soon. SPAJJANDOIGGER Tuesday, November 27th, 2007 Period of Field Use: 1 year    Last There: July 11th, 2006 Paintball Experience: 4 years Other Fields in the Area: Action Acres, BGP Directions to the Field: Site Review: Overall, I'd give Splat Action a 6 out of 10, mainly because it could be better. The owner John, can be a nice guy sometimes, but turn into a jerk to his refs. His refs are pretty good. Derek, Weeman and the rest of the crew know what they are doing. There is a lot of cheating, which hasn't been taken care of. Language is rampant, which I don't like to see in a field. cranapple Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 Period of Field Use: Just once    Date There: August 5th, 2007 Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Other Fields in the Area: warpaint indoor- smaller albany outdoor- only open to private groups strikezone reball- huge airforce base, no longer open corvallis sportspark reball- amazing, no longer open portland paintball- good field, certain employee's are total douchebags Directions to the Field: is location is the definition of the booneeys. mapquest it, its easy. Review: Hours of operation ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- people play from about 10 am to 5 pm. (you get your moneys worth) safety ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------ev erybody there and most first timers were good about barrel plugs and masks. i was suprised. fields ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- they put alot of work into their fields. tons of branch bunkers, alot of walls, spools, mounds, dugout bunkers, corigated piping, typical woodsball style. there is an amazing amount of fields. they even have 2 ok looking airball fields. when i played from 10 am - 4 pm i played on about 1/3 of their fields. i was dominating everyone with my mech spyder on the spools field, but on other fields that were larger i was a target for people more familiar with the terrain. the players ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- there were about 30 people when i played. there were alot of scenario guys with a-5's and stocks, but there were also stil typical ion douchay's. there wasnt a real high skill level, however there were some kids with pumps. over the course of the day i shot about 2-3 people for everytime i was shot. prices ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- 55 for a case of x-ball bronz i believe 30 for half case 10 for all day air 15 field fee 20 for rental staff ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- nice guys, didnt talk to them much. they pretty much chilled in there booth listening to 90's hard rock hits and helping people out. one had a sense of humor refs ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------th ere was only one ref in the group of 30. it proved to be plenty. this guy was hilarious, older lookin x-party guy. hes been reffing and playing for over 20 years. i shot some older guy who got all b#tt-hurt about an exta 2-3 shots. after the game was over i found him to see what his issue was. the ref had allready handled the problem and made him sitout a game. i explained i hadnt seen him raise his hand. the ref said, "he needs to stop b!tching or put some makeup on" "he needs to go back to his old lady or stop b!tching" food ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- they hook it up with the bqq, i wasnt hungry but it looked good conclusion ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- its a wear some camo talk about hunting and fit right in kinda place. this is a woodsballers field. dont expect to play airball. i had a great time and plan to return. highly recomended Report as Inappropriate - Dispute It 0 Comments - Add Comment

Dark_Trainer Tuesday, July 17th, 2007 Period of Field Use: 3 years    Last There: August 12th, 2006 Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Other Fields in the Area: Oregon Paintball, Xtremez, Warpaint, Paintball universe(out of business), etc. Directions to the Field: It's in Molalla Oregon. Check out www.splataction.com for directions. Review: I'm torn. This field was my number one field prior to going to Oregon paintball's field in Sandy. So now it's number 2. The only reason I still come here is because Oregon paintball's field isn't open all the time like splat action is. Don't get me wrong, splat action's field is great too! Pro's: > Huge field - rarely the same game twice (even all day!) tons of acres! > Consistently has lots of players, so a pickup game is easy to come by. > Food on site if you wish to buy BBQ and such > Decent ref's (in my experience, unlike the other posts I read...but I also played with mostly people I know who don't cheat) Cons: > Huge field - I say this as a con only because once you leave the entry point and head INSIDE, prepare to pack yourself FULL of paint. Basically if you don't have a harness, GET ONE...you won't want to come back up between rounds. > It is woodsball, but almost all of the areas are cleared out, they do have tons of TREES though. However, very few of the fields they use have dense foliage and such (i love to crawl around and lay in wait for ambush). Mostly structures and such. I wish there was more foliage in the areas of actual gameplay. (personal preference) > Crappy rentals (Spyders) and rediculously inaccurate! Although I have my own gear, just an FYI to you renters. All in all, it's a great field and given that Oregon paintball is closed alot I would come to splat action any day! Some of the ref were lame. They were some of the younger ones. And like wat kenick1 said there let alot of things go. Like the person i went with. Shot a guy in mask(not the lens) and he wiped it. My friend told the ref and the ref said "shot him again." But one ref was so nice the in the beginning after a hour or so most of the south was up eating and all we had was about 20 guys. the refs told the north to back off from our spawn. And before we restarted he was telling us how to keep the pressure on. Which we did and the rest of the south got back from eating and we won. I would Go Again. kenick1 Sunday, April 15th, 2007 Period of Field Use: Just once    Date There: April 14th, 2007 Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Other Fields in the Area: Extremez in Vancouver, WA. Even though it's smaller and only offers indoor action, Extremez is a much safer and better run facility with good organization. Directions to the Field: I could really care less if other people know how to get to this field or not. Review: Just got back from the annual Civil War big game and probably will never return to this field. The day started out basically fine and the field has much to offer as far as size and options of play. Throughout the day we had issues with players (mostly the Tournament people) wiping off paint and the refs not calling it, which I was told is a usual occurrence here. However, toward the end of the day after about 3.5 hours the Refs stopped Refereeing and it basically turned into a free for all. Players who actually did call themselves out were walking back to the re-spawn areas with their makers in the air and being shot continuously as they were trying to get back to re-spawn. Where were the refs? I found them hanging out in their own little huddles ignoring the game and text messaging on their phones. When informing them of the problems on the field the refs response to me was " that's paintball" and went back to what he was doing before, nothing. Not to mention that while I was walking over to find the refs, with no maker or gear other than my mask, I was shot in the neck from a range of no more than 30 feet as I approached those refs. Other problems included, players using safety and re-spawn areas as bunkers. Also, players were being allowed to use hot guns firing way over 300fps. I mean, everyone had to crono before the action started but I was hit in the gun hard enough to tear off my reflex sight that was secured with two hex screws, another player was hit hard enough in the mask that it tore off his visor. The refs carried hand held cronos but failed to use them, ever. Basically, the poor organization and officiating made this a very unsafe place to play. I would not even dream of bringing someone who was new to paintball to this facility for their first experience. As ambassadors to our sport, the field operators should be ashamed of themselves and not one of those Referees deserves to keep their jobs after what they allowed to happen there.
