Review: Great fields, but the owner (the man, as it is owned an operated by a married couple) is very rude. I'm 44 years old and have owned a small business before so I know what to expect. This guy clearly has the attitude that its either his way or the highway. I'm not the only person that amazed at his lack of customer service. When I asked him to split the very large group up into to his response was "NO" in a very rude way. I explained to him that several of his customers were not happy about the situation and it would be better if he split the group in two. His face turned bright red with anger, seriously. He said that he already split off 14 people. I said great, can we play with that smaller group then. Again he said with a rude tone "NO" and then ignored me.

There were 109 people on there that day, which mean he had one group of 14 split off and the other 95 people playing as a group! Ridicoulous!

In addition, 98% of the people were in camo and clearly woodsball players, yet he would play two woodsball games, then two speed ball games. That sucked. We sat out the speed ball games.

Since I live only five minutes away I will probably still play, but only when I can't make the drive elsewhere. My group of 10 friends agree.

BTW, this is not the first time I've found this guy to be rude and unprofessional...its just the latest. I was so amazed at his poort customer service skills that I had to post this review.

Go anywhere, but not to this field!!!

Review: I have been playing at hi-tec for a year now and i have learned alot from playing there. Admission and air is pretty cheap but paint burns a hole in your pocket. Id definatly go to hi tec more if the paint were cheaper. The people who own the place make sure the new guys know the Do's and Dont's. There are all sorts of fields. So know matter wut type of paintball you like your bound to like the fields at hi tec. Theyre arent too many refs but when they find out that somebody cheated they really bust on them.
All in all hi tec is a great place. I will continue going there for many months to come.

Review: Lets me put it this way, today was my first time going to hi-tec and it will defiantly NOT be my last. the staff is very friendly and helpful. on this particular day it was a sernario game. Now, first of all i am a speedball player and had no clue what to do in this partucular game. so the they explained the rules and made sure everyone got what they would had to do, split up the teams evenly, and gave anyone who hasnt ever played at this field a map. the game was very fun, it lasted 6 hours. when u are hit you go back to the staging area, refill all pods and air and get ready for insersion. this happens every half hour and the flag count is tallyed at the end of an hour of play. people who are caught cheating a pulled of the field. the only bad thing about hi-tec is the price of paint. it is a fpo place and $60 for a case and $35 for a half of case. all day air is $10 and fill your own(they show you if you do not now how). the lady was especially nice and greeted everyone with 'what do you need love?' in my opinion this field is great. they also have speedball, ultimate air, and hyper ball for all you people that dont like forest ball. i am going to give this field 9 out of 10 because it was the best time i have had paintballing yet there is always room for improvment. Check out hi-tec.... you wont be disappointed!!!!!

Review: I had never played paintball before, and my friend Jarrad and I were going, I brought about 60 dollars, I ended up spending about thirty on my things, the rest my friend took cause he shoots a whole lot, I paid the admission which was about 5-10 I cant really remember, and twenty on paint, which lasted me a whole day with one pod still full, When I first got there I was a little scared, and slowly walked towards the desk, I was greeted with a happy 'HELLO!' and a nice handshake, the lady behind the counter asked me what I needed, I said that I needed to sign in pay admission, and get some paint, she then handed me the form, a bag of 500 balls, and I paid around thirty dollars for all of it, I was using my brothers marker at the time, now he didnt take as good care of his gun as he told me he did, so the lady took my gun, put new o-rings on it, oiled it, and lent me a new barrel until it worked, then I went back to the velocity measuring thingy and the max I could get it to was 194, she came up behind twisted some knobs and got it up to an even 280, id missed about 2 or so games by this point, so I was ready to go. the first game I played was speedball, it was great! when it started I just kinda ran made it kinda to the other side and jumped behind a bunker thing. I did a scan of my clothes, I hadnt been shot yet, I slowly leaned over the side of it and saw a guy looking sideways in front of me, I fired a few shots and one to pop on his head, I was later congratulated by the refs on my first kill(I hope thats the right word) ever. Overall I give it a nine out of 10, I enjoyed this field, and recently got a new gun and am going in a day or so to try it out.

Review: When i first walked into Hi-tec i knew it was gonna be a wild ride. Prices of paint are a little high at 70 bucks a case but you'll use it all day. they have every type of field from hyper ball to a Huge scenario field. Air is a dollar for 12 OZ C02 and 6 dollars for Nitro. They also rent A-5 w/ response triggers and nitro. The people there are nice and the refs/owners are strict and will kick you for wiping or throwing nades and hyperball, wich is a good thing.
If you are looking for a day on the field and you dont want to play the same thing over and over a gain, go to H-T

Review: Hi Tec is a great place to play and I have had many great experiences out there. I am going to give the Pros and the Cons of this field.

Pros: Field fees are decent enough and the number of fields makes for a diverse and fun day. The owners, Chris and Kathy, are great and Chris does a great job of explaining the rules and ensuring that everyone, even those who have never played before, understands the rules and know what to expect on the field. There are plenty of areas for paintballers to set up their gear and take a break. The field is within short driving distance of several restaurants and other facilties to get food or other needs.

Cons: As with any outdoor facility, Hi Tec is subject to the weather, and here in Florida it can rain at any time, and usually does, so the fields can become soaked and make for either a muddy day or a closed field. The other drawback, which is not too bad, is that they are only open on weekends, and that is subject to whether or not their field team is playing in a tournament, which means when they are playing out of town then the field is closed. I understand that Chris and Kathy have "real" jobs that they go to during the week, which explains being open only on the weekends, so that is why it is not a totally bad thing. The price of paint can be a little steep, at $80 a case, which for some could make a day at the field short if you do not have enough money for paint all day.

Hi Tec is a great field, but I have to wonder with all of the development around them in terms of homes being built just how long they can hold out before the land is sold for more homes. In short, if you have not gone out there and can get there, do it before your chance is gone and enjoy yourself at one of the truly decent fields in the state.

Review: I had an alright time. It was fun there were a variety of fields but they would play too many people at a time . What they could do is like make four teams and just get more refs. So you could have half of the people at one field and the other half at another field. Also they will only play woodsball and speedball. They would only do 2 fields a day. The refs are really bad all they do is just start and finish the game. You could wipe all day and not get caught. They are horrible. The owner doesn't really help you if something breaks. My friends gun broke and he asked the owner what was wrong and he told him and made him fix it. He couldn't play the rest of the day because he didn't know how to fix it. Also the paint is to high. I would recemend MVP Sports. They are only a air ball field. But there prices are the best. They have a certified tech and ref. The owners are really nice. Also if your gun, tank, hopper broke they would fix it for you. They fill co2 and nitrogen. The entre fee is 5 dollars. All day air is 10 dollars. Paint is 40 a case,15 a bag. They have seconds paint but it is good. I once got empire fuel in the seconds paint. It rocks. Also i once got Infereno. So go to MVP it is the best of them all.

Unfortunately there aren't any decent fields in the immediate area.
Review: Hi-Tec is one of those fields that your lucky enough to be in a decent driving distance from (15 minutes for me), but unlucky enough knowing that there is a better field much further away (Waynes World in Ocala). It has a good variety of fields, nice enough owners/staff (when they want to be) and accomodations to keep just about any Baller happy for the day. But that's not to say it doesn't have it's pitfalls. Hi-Tec suffers from the same problems as any other Paintball field, it has it's bad days of long lines at the desk for registration, air and paint, and typical shortage of ref's with little to no experience. Unfortunately some fields have more "bad days" than others, Hi-Tec is no exception. One major problem that I noticed and cannot be over looked was that there was only one person tending to the desk at any given time through out the day . Yep, as you guessed, lead to very long lines...and not very much fun. And as you can imagine this usually meant equally long delays, both before and in between games. There really should be a second or even third person taking customers at said desk.
Another minor issue I have is with the ref's, or should I say pre-teen-wanna-be tourney players who just happen to be related to or friends with the owners. Yeah, this field has them too. Although I can occasionally over look it, I get frustrated with the lack of experience of the ref's at Hi-Tec. Sometimes they just can't make a good call despite the obvious. Personally I'd prefer my ref's to at be at least old enough to vote, but hey no one's perfect right? BTW, between you and me, the owner "Chris" has an odd temperment.
Like you'd expect at any other field, your going to pay thru the nose for paint. Most people (especially new players) are surprised by this fact, but they shouldn't be, because after all it's widely known that Paintball is an expensive sport to get into, the base expense being the paint. Honestly would it really matter if that box of paint was $5-$10's cheaper? I suggest it wouldn't. Check in with other fields, call them and find out. You'll find that their field paint doesn't go much higher or lower than the $5-$10 dollars I mentioned earlier. Still think that paint is expensive, try asking the average Golfer what he pays to play for the day. It's all part of the game.

Review: Ive been to hi tec a few times its and overall good place people and refs are very nice the only down side is that the paint is so expensive 100 = $5, 500 = $20, 1000 = $40, 2000 = $70. i give it an 8 because of paint prices. They also sell stuff there and CO2 is $2 for 20oz and all day air is $10. You can also rent an A-5 and/or compressed air.

Review: My friend and I came to play here while on spring break and we had a great time. They have a lot of fields so there is a good variety to what you play. The woods ball fields were very nice. Im not a huge woods player but I had a great time on them. They have some speedball and hyperball too. The speedball we played was basically a smaller woods field with bunkers scatterd all over but it was a really good field. The hyperball field was good but there were about 40 people here the day I came and this field was meant for 5v5 or 7v7 so it was really crowded. The staging area is very big so everyone can get a table. Everyone there seemed pretty cool and were very helpful. The only thing that was bad was the paint price. $80 for a case is pretty expensive. Especially when I pay $55 at my Michigan field for the exact same paint. When paint is that expensive not everyone will be able to afford to play at the field. Prices for fills and entrance were average. Overall the fields are great. My only complaint is paint cost but I still recommend this field to anyone .
