Mohawk is an awesome for everyone one to play at. it is a complete family enviroment. no one swears or get in fights with one another. there fields are awesome they have tons of games to play so ur entertained all day. the owners r extremely nice and have a pro shop right next to the field and refill area so that makes it very nice. the only bad thing is i wish they had a better speedball field but other than that it is an awesome field |

Mohawk's field is huge
they have a small speedball(hyperball field) too
they have cool forts and castles and they have a trailer there for a fun game called urban assault
their store is right at the staging area, so your close
they charge ok prices for paint, and good prices for air |

From top to bottom this is a great place to go paintballing. Prices are very good, equipment is very adequate if you need to rent.
They are intense on the rules as far as when a gun can be unnozzled and when you need to be wearing a mask, but I think thats good.
They are very nice people and the judging is good.
There are wooded areas, more open fields, urban areas, plently of barracks and forts. Really they have a great balance between everything. They even have a course with a stream in the middle and tall grass you can slide through and do some intense sneak attacks.
I would go to this place everytime if it was possible. It makes others I have been to seem juvenile. |

For as long as I have played paintball mohawk has existed, and I always return because of the comfortable atmosphere. Its sort of like home too me. Lisa and Jason will go far out of their way to please you. There is a constant chilled out environment. Prices are as low as they can go and there arent too many other fields around that can order you something and have it in stock 2 days after you ask for it (guns/whatever). If you complain about their prices then you obviously havent been to too many fields. They rent out the new tippmanns and although aged are in perfect working order like any other tippmann you pick up. They hold awesome scenerio events, their woodsball is unprecedented in all aspects, and although an extremely competitive airball field does not really exist the real deal is on its way that will put some local fields out of business if it happens I gaurantee its success. If they can put in a solid airball field they will be on par with TPA, pbworld, and TC in toledo because they have the other fields beat in price. Competition wise mohawk can bring in some tough people it just depends on who is practicing that weekend. You can expect an average amount of effort out of their refs, they try hard most of them are new to the paintball community. You may have too work with them a little, but they mean the best and will try their damndest when you need them. I along with a few of my teammates have accidentally laced one of them bad and they did not complain once during practice on several occasions. If your a cheater dont even show up there are several veterans that love your kind and they will shoot you to pieces if they catch you I dont care how fast you think you can shoot you wont impress them. I love mohawk and I want to give them a 10 but the overall turnout changes dramatically due to the switch to airball. They have paper towels and goggle spray a must have. Hot dogs are grilled every sunday and they are free... | Last edited on Saturday, June 30th, 2007 at 1:19 am PST |

I like the field except thier paint set up is unconvenient. If you dont use all your paint you buy that day, its useless because they dont want you to bring it back even though you bought it from them. They want you to buy paint from them each time you go no matter what you have left from your last visit. Also thier paint is fairly expensive. I just have to say I feel like I am wasting my money if i buy too much paint. The field paint makes it all a hastle and a pain because it forces you to stop playing when you run out of paint because you dont want to waste your money. If the field paint wasnt such a big issue for me, I wouldnt feel my day was cut short and wouldnt have so much issue with them. If you dont mind that, its a good field to play on. |

I didnt think this field was nice at all. I hate the fact that you have to leave the main building to get to the building where the field is, especially at night when you cant see where you are going and there are uneven rocks and thorn bushes right next to that little path. Also, I hate having to wear my mask just to watch the games. That drove me nuts.
The overall field wasnt very nice either. The bunkers were odd, and very hard to get in tight to. The lanes blow and the material on the floor is horrible.
The one thing I did like was the family atmosphere. No one was yelling, or overshooting or ramping to 25 bps on kids with tippmanns and prices were good, But that kid with the 07 ego owned me>:O| Last edited on Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 at 7:05 am PST |

my group from www.clevelandpaintball.com came, most it was our 1st time at this field. the terrain is EXALENT for woods ball, old growth big trees for cover, and man made bunkers all over.
from big deep ravines to flat open barrel fields and 2 story forts...
prices were great and they offer the option to bring your own paint for 10 extra bucks.. |

I am new to paintball and the first place i went to was mohawk paintball. When i was first there i met the owners. They are very nice people and they treat you with respect. The feild is in jeromesville out in the middle of nowhere. But to me it was worth the trip. There prices for stuff is awsome. When i first was there i got a rental kit with a tippman, mask, 20oz co2 tank, free air fills, and 500 rec grade paitballs for only $30. Then i got 1000 seconds grade paint for like near $17 adding up to less than 50 bucks. The tippman rental guns are old but the shoot great and are well taking care of. Barrel covers or plugs are manditory while in the stagin area and mask have to be on at the feild. Though They didnt really make sure people chronod their guns. They are open sundays 12-6:00. I remember when i was there he acctually made hotdogs for everyone. They also have drings for sale. There feilds are awsome. Urbal assualt(trailer game), speedball, woodsball, and a castle feild. So if you want a good paintball experience with good prices check out mohawk paintball. |

Splatterpark- too expensive, field paint only, bad pricing on paint.
Cannon Paintball- Splatterzone: good field, but closed for renovations at this time.
Seek-n-Destroy: good prices, but if you play woods they just don't have any.

This is a really good field here in OH. Some of the best points are multiple woods fields, an urban assault field, and a speedball field which doubles as an elimination field, with a small 2-level castle in the center. Mohawk has a pretty good turnout, and the pricing is very reasonable. Price to play if you buy their paint is $10, and $15 if you bring your own. Rentals are available, and the rental guns are Tippmann made. The rental gear appeared to be well maintained. Paint pricing is reasonable as well.
Food is available at mohawk, and they even have a vending machine for some drinks, while others are available via the shop.
Hours of operation for Mohawk are 12am-6pm.
Safety is an important issue at Mohawk, and the ref staff enforces it well. Masks are required on the playfields at all times, and barrel covers/plugs are required in all non-play areas at all times. Cronographing is mandatory for all guns before play.
The woods fields are quite well done, there is an excellent amount of fixed bunkers and forts, as well as some great vegetation for cover. I would recommend taking some bug repellant if you intend on playing the woods fields, but that is to be expected anytime you play on any woods field.
The speedball field is also the castle field, and most bunkers are permanent, with a few inflatables as well. It is also a rather large playing field.
Most games are played in a capture the flag style, but elimination games are present as well.
Given the size of Mohawk, the services offered, the pricing, and all other factors, I would recommend this field to anyone if they are willing to travel there to play. I do rank this field rather well in my personal list of places to play. I will definitely go back again. |

I spend a fair amount of time at Mohawk Paintball so this may sound a little bias but I’ll try and keep it fair. I’ve been going to Mohawk on and off for about 7 years. The last 2 years I have really gotten to know the fields and the staff. I try and play two or three times a month and 90% of the time Mohawk is where I end up. I’ve played at other local (and not so local) fields but I always end up going back to Mohawk.
I really think their prices are the best I’ve ever seen. You can get seconds paint for $29 a case (2000 balls); Rec Grade for $35; Premium for $40; and Tournament Grade for $45. To be honest the Rec Grade is better the most “premium” paint. I shoot an E Cocker and I never have problems with their paint. If you’re shooting a Tippmann (my backup) you can get away with the Seconds paint no problem at all. If you decide you want to go high end it’s there if you want it. Some people buy the Premium or Tournament grade just because the price is relatively low. And to top it off they are not field paint only. If you want to bring your own, knock yourself out.
The player fees are pretty standard. $10 field fee, $10 all day air/nitro (up to 4500 psi). They offer CO2 at a good price if that’s your thing. In fact they may (not sure but I think so) offer all day CO2. No clue on the price.
Mohawk Paintball has by far the best assortment of fields around. They have a HUGE wooded area with multiple smaller fields set up for smaller games. During large games (scenario, night games) there is more then enough room to move around, flank, and be tactical even with a massive number of players on the field. They have some pretty sweet forts, castles, trailer (they call it urban assault), towers, barrel fields, etc. They also have a decent hyperball field. It’s perfect for 3 or 4 man. 5 man gets a bit crowded but it’s playable. Their Speedball (Sup Air) is a blast. It’s kind of in it's growing stage and is pretty decent. 5 man is no problem. 7 man is tight but not bad. They have hosted a few tournaments and plan to have more in the future.
The owners are good people and will go out of their way to make sure you’re having fun. I have yet to spend a day playing and not have one of them ask “are you having a good time?” They have a small pro shop with good prices along with some used markers other players are trying to sell. If you forgot some bit of gear check out the shop and they have it 90% of the time.
The refs are fair and I’ve never had problems. During large events they have a pretty good sized staff on hand. But, like every paintball field the refs can’t be everywhere and call everything. So keep the sport fun and be honest.
You can check out their website (mohawkpaintball.com) for more info such as pictures, prices, game times, private game info, and how to get in touch with them.
All in all this is the place to play in and around Ashland County.| Last edited on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005 at 7:51 pm PST |
