Snow Castle lodge prince Albert Saskatoon Regina Moose jaw layng Swift current
all fields very in Saskatchewan from open prairie to heavy Bush depending on the area that you're in
Asquith has speedball field 50 acres of three on either end and open field in the middle
overall the field boasts 50 acres speedball Bush ball
ample parking in the ability to camp overnight but no fire pits no power no showers
for Bush bull the middle half of the field is open with bunkers the other two ends are in Bush church in the middle and other various castles
they have a big game on September 13
the challenges of having a big game with 300+ players not enough referees overall long lineups for CO2 or air
long lineups for Connor graphing for climate graphs in total have to chronograph when you go onto the field this makes it tough when you have 150 people plus on each side
overall the game is fun
but they need to have experience referees the ones that they had their even that they played for 20 years still have not enough experience!!
this is quite surprising to me since I've been away for eight years.
But if you want a big field play on and and you are in Saskatchewan Saskatoon area this be something to take a look at
I give it a below-average rating because it has changed over the years
A diverse field for small and large groups alike. These guys know the game and how to make it enjoyable for everyone. They make safety their number one priority, which helps put many new players at ease. They several fields: speed ball, large group scenario, and woods ball. Their woods ball course is very large and is used for most of their games.
They provide all the safety gear you require to play, and rent a mix of semi-autos. Most of these guns are getting older, so the ball denents are worn and will allow multiple balls in the barrel. Just a note, keep your barrel up if your using a rental. Prices are probably the best in the area. Green fee is a little much, but they often suggest doing a rental for a few bucks more and getting more.
Easy to find, since it's just past Asquith. They don't have any outdoor washrooms, so be prepared to use the bush or a very scary outhouse. They sell drinks and snacks for a reasonable price during games as well.
Sorry to say, but they don't rent tippmanns, they have a mix of guns, all of which are semi auto. Still this is the best in Saskatoon. they insure that the whole time you play that every things safe. They have two refs on the field in every game, to insure that no one cheats, to help people if there lost, to do a quick fix on the field so you don't have to call yourself out and walk back to the safe area, and to do paint checks when you think you got hit and can't see. The staff is friendly and helps you with everything you need.
They have two fields they use for bookings. The first is a speedball field which you play your first to games on. The games only last five minutes each, but thats because they don't want all the renters to run out of paint and money before the day even starts. I ever much enjoyed this speedball field, it has good bunkers at good locations. All the rest of the games are played in the bush, which is 14 x 14 arcs square, in the center of the bush field is a town with a castle at one end and an OK coral at the other, there are several huts along the sides of the town, and there are to other forts opposite of each other in the bush. They have lots of fun and challenging games to play, capture the flag, find the down pilot, cops and robbers, and my favorite villageball. This is by far the best field i've ever played on
Merril Dunes, Paintball Paradise, Dunes is better than the other two.
Review:
This place is sweet. It has an awesome town setting where you have sniper towers and small buildings. The Other field is a forest with two tower bunkers for bases. The best game there is capture the flag. They have a speedball field where no one ever plays, becuase speedball sucks, Unless you play with pumps. IN the city field they have abanded cars, barrels, and culverts. The tippmans rented there work amazing. They maintain the fields and euipment well, but the safe zone is too far away from the field. By the time you get there your team coud have lost.
Overall this field is pretty sweet, so i give it a 8.
