Review: I have gone with my church Youth group to Wild West Paintball once a month for the last 2 years. It wasn't bad at the beginning but lately that have started to slack. They havent updated their webpage. Their field is trashy (plastic bags and boxes laying everywhere). The bathroom probably never has been cleaned. They are not very nice to their visitors (employees always complaining about how they want to go home and don't want to be there). I had a reff once who called time on a woodsball game in ten minutes, there were still 12 people in. And to top it all off the last three times I have tried to go there they have been closed (every time we went some of us called the day before to be sure they would be open and they always said yes). Today when I went we got there and called again after realizing they weren't open, and they gave us the excuse co2 does not at 50 degrees ( I have played with c02 in below zero temps and it works just fine). I would not recommend this field to anybody, its terrible. Their customer service is bad, they cant tell the truth on when there going to be open and they cant keep the field clean!!!!!!!!!

Don't go!!!!!!!!!

Review: well let me bwgin, i like this place. I come from so cal paintball and if u never been to so cal paintball...there is nothing like it. But as for this field it is so so. For the begginner i wouldn't recommend it for the last time i went there were no refs, but the ppl filling the tanks made me feel safe ( they fill it, not the customer i've seen this before) anyways, if u have ur own equipment this place is the best for oklahoma. Me my bro and like 8 of my friends all drove out and had a blast. The best thing abou this place is price. Try 10 dollars, thats it all day air on a 4500, and u can bring ur own paint. Quite simply the best place in oklahoma in my area.

8/10

Review: First off they need to update their website. They say they have two Sup'Air ball fields, and that is not true. There are NO AIR BALL FIELDS. They mention 10 fields in all but I don't think there are that many. Although they do have the 4 of woods courses listed on the website. We played on the schoolbus course which was fun, and the wooded courses were also a lot of fun.

Second there are NO REFS there. They just let you go play where you want to. There is a kid in the little shack who takes your money, and a kid that fills up your tanks and gives you your rental equipment. There is not a ref standing by the chrono to make sure your marker is chronoed correctly. There were no adults there just kids running the place.

Third, is the safety issue since there are no refs there they do not enforce the rules(nobody there explained any kind of rules to us.), kids were running around with no masks on in the playing areas. There were a few kids with high end electronic markers shooting outside of the designated areas(they were shooting right next to the bathroom!)

Fourth was the trash laying around. The fields were littered with trash, especially the woods ball fields. I do not think anybody goes out there and cleans up. Four years ago this place was great! They had air ball fields and there wasn't a bunch of trash laying around, the fields were maintained, and looked nice. There were actually refs explaining rules and reffing games. I really do not know what happened to this place, and why its gone downhill.

The good thing about this place is the price,(its 4 dollars all day play, 4 dollars all day air, and 4 dollars to bring your own paint in). and they sell paintballs there(for a reasonable price) AND they let you bring on your own paint. They are one of the few places left that will let you do that.

Overall i'll give this place a rating of 2, we had fun playing, and since everyone in our group has been playing at least for 5 years or more we knew the rules and practiced safety. We did have a new player with us and we had to go over the rules with him and we had to go over the use of a marker. If you go play at this field and you have new people playing, make sure you have someone in your group that is familiar with paintball and can go over the rules and proper use of a marker and safe chrono speeds.

Review: This paintball field is ok not great but ok. The cronos are never being watch unless you are in a group so hopefully every does check and dont change them out on the fields. The prices arent that bad and the fields are pretty good and they are usually never packed so you can get alot of games in. The staff are very nice and helpfull when you are out there and will help you with your gun if you have a malfunction with it.

Review: This is by far the best field ive ever played. Well i say best field what i should say best 10 fields. That's right 10! Adventure zone and dodge city don't compare to this. They are all slow paced. At wild west you have no large groups of random people that you don't know. you go with your friends and you can find another group to play with if you get board. I don't see how you can tho wit all these fields.
I give this field a 10.

Review: Every time we've played at Wild West, we never left disappointed. The atmosphere is laid back and it's a good place to meet and play other players. There's a good selection of fields and you're pretty much free to run your own game at your own pace. Yes there may be a guy or two that lifts his mask up, but all you have to do is tell him and he'll get it back down. Come on paintballers, let's take care of our own. I've never felt like I was overcharged because the paint prices are comparable to the stores. Not jacked up at all. We're going back as soon as we can find the time. If they paid refs for every field the have, then they'd have to charge 100 bucks a case for their paint. I'll keep things safe as possible myself, give me cheap paint every time.

Review: The fields were awesome, mostly. There were plenty of fields to go around and we only had to wait a few times for the field we wanted. The place let us bring our own paint and we got a pseudo deal (he didnt honor the price on their website but didn't charge us for our own paint). There are only refs for large reserved groups but no one informed us of that so we waited around a bit for a game to start. They dont monitor the chron area either. Another place where safety is on the honor system (luckily i trusted the people I played with). They also stop filling CO2 at 530 apparently. I used mostly 12g for the day because I was using my Phantom stock and only used a 9 ounce for 2 games. I had paid for all day air but never filled the tank thinking i would just top it off on my way out. Well that didn't work out when the guy in the shed informed us rudely that last call for air was 530. We told him we were out on a field at 530 and he said tough luck well know next time. Im trying another field soon so hopefully their won't be a next time. The property is nice but without refs or even an owner that cares about the customer, I'll play somewhere else. In conclusion, great fields, well set up and plenty of choices, poor managment and execution. Worth a try and hopefully it was just a bad day for them when we went.

Review: I brought a group of about 25 people to Wild West today... mostly a bunch of police, firefighters, and paramedics. We only went there because Shaggy Brothers over-booked us at Adventure Zone so we couldn't play there.... thanks a lot Shaggy Bros. Anyway, back to the review.....

The Pros: Wild West has a lot of fields.... lots of speedball courses and acres and acres of wooded fields. The wooded areas are thick and the terrain is sometimes difficult to transverse which is a plus if you are a skilled player that likes to sneak up on his opponent. The refs are pretty cool and let you kinda make your own rules. Thanks Thomas.... props to ya.

The Cons: The management was very unorganized. I had talked to the HMFIC just 4 days prior to playing and he told me the price was just $5. When we got there today, the price had doubled to $10.... even if you have your own stuff. You kinda have to just walk out onto a field and announce that you are ready to play if you want to get people motivated. We waited half an hour before we figured that out. We also stayed a little longer to make up for that which the refs had no problem with. I really don't think that anyone even knew we were still out there. It's kinda like going out to someones farm and playing except ya gotta leave $10 with some guy in a little shack.

Overall: The group had a good time and that is what is really important. Will we play at Wild West again?? Yes. We enjoyed the freedom of playing how we wanted without the interference you can get from other fields.

Rating: 9

Review: PROS:
This field definitely has a down-home feel. The last few times I've visited Wild West I've paid anywhere from $8 to $12 for field fee, all day air, and bring-your-own paint. But that's okay because they're really helpful when you have a malfunction with your own equipment. They've let me borrow a rental marker on two occasions at no cost when I've had problems with my own. Thanks guys!

They have a nice area you can back your car up to so you don't have to lug your equipment around too much. Plus, the rest area is under the cover of trees so you can rest in the shade.

There are several fields on site to choose from. There are 2 or 3 sup-air fields, 2 or 3 spool fields (one has the bus in the middle) and 3 or 4 woods fields. One woods field is the swamp. It's the size of a football field with a swamp in the middle. One field is half-wooded with a creek in the middle. Another is a little bigger, densely wooded with the same creek running through it. And there's another field that's a football field size and clear but under the cover of trees. They definitely cater to the rec, the scenario, and the tourney player - definitely a plus.

CONS:
One downfall is the lack of involvement from the refs. This can be good or bad depending on your point of view. But I think there should be more involvement for safety reasons. I'd hate to see some kid get pegged in the eye because there wasn't a ref out there to tell him to put his mask down. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone standing on the side of the field with his mask up waiting for the game to end. Kids like that give the sport a bad name and set a bad example. The refs need to be there to enforce safety on the field. No exceptions!

The only good thing about having hardly any involvement from the refs is that you can speed up the time between games.

The two other fields I've been to give a safety talk before you get to play. Wild West does not. Not a big deal to the veteran player, but a new guy should be briefed from the management of the field on how to play safe and how not to get hurt.

Overall, it's a good place to play. I give the field an 8.
