outlaw is close by its a good field if you like speedball but ambush has both speedball and woodsball fields.
Kellys paintball is out of business but for anyone who had played there the fields were set up simlar to ambush's but nowhere near as good
Review: Ive been playing at ambush for at least five years now, it is right by my house and i attend most of there walk-on events and big battles. I certainly know the fields well, there are many options of where to go at the fields on ambush. You can go up front, stay back, or flank the sides. Where ever you are trying to go, there is usually cover. The day hours are 715am to 330pm. This includes the safety briefing that starts at 730. Safety, there is no compairson to any field when it comes to safety. There are rules for anything that might be dangerous here. They check velocity which is at 280fps max and give you a sticker after you chronograph. Ive been to other fields where they dont check velocity or they just tell you to shoot and wach how far you shoot. But ive seen little kids play here frequently and they dont complain. There is nothing to worry about when playing here. To play at ambush it costs $29 for walk-on days that includes entry fee, air or co2, and 500 paintballs. It costs $60 for a case of paint. Walk-on nites are usually the first friday nite of the month form may to sept. Nite games cost $20 and you can bring your own paint, or $60 with a case. Nite games start at 530 and go till about 10:00. At the nite games you play in the woods until it gets dark then you play under the lighted fields which includes the trailer field. Yesterday i wnet to prison break 3 which is one of two of there big battles. There was about 200 people there. It was alot of fun. Two teams compete to hold the prison for the day. Go to there web site for info on those events. The staff, refs, and owner are all very good and very nice. The owner's name is Bob and besides keeping it safe and fair all he tries to do is make it so you have fun. If you need something before you can play they have rental equipment and a small proshop which has things from barrel plugs to guns. If you are having rouble with your personal paintball gun, hopper, or tank there are a few people that can help you. One in paiticular is really good his name is Quinn, he refs there sometimes or he plays, or he just comes to fix guns. To me it seems like the only thing he spends his life doing is fixing guns. But he is usually sucessfull so if you need help ask around for Quinn. Also there is snacks and drinks available in the proshop but i would recomend bringing something to eat between games. Visit there website for any info. See you at the field.

I used to play at only one other field, Poco Loco. It was an alright field, but in comparison to Ambush Paintball it's... well, mediocre for lack of a better word. Thier fields did'nt seem to be put together with a practical sense. I mean that the obsticals, or lack there of werent placed strategically for the way the field was played in most scenarios.
Directions
to the Field:
There are directions on the main website: www.ambush-paintball.com There are also directions in many of the reviews on this page.
Review: Fields: Ambush Paintball is a spectacular set of fields. There are two speedball courses, a trailer park themed field which is great, it really keeps you on your toes (lots of open windows and doors to watch and narrow hallways) It's probably my favorite field they have at Ambush. Theres also the recently built and still being modified prison field. It's defintely one of the coolest field I have had the opportunity to play in. 12' walls 20' towers. It's 5th and final tower is currently under construction. This tower is located directly in the center of the prison which is a small court yard. Inside the prison court yard there is access to plenty of large barrel cover, six bared windows I believe and two doors conveniently placed facing the back and front entrances, which makes taking the prison extremely difficult. Outside the prison there is a fairly large field with something like 20 gigantic wooden spools, which make advancing on the prison reletively easy. Next there are two woodsball fields. One in particular "Fort Woody" is a challenging but fun field. The field is huge, with plenty of cover and at the same time plenty of open ground which becomes very challenging to cover. The field has two forts, one at either side of the field, which contain the flags during a capture the flag games. All these fields are awsome for different reasons.
Prices: Prices are listed on the website, but I'll list them here to save you some time.

Paintballs:
A case of 2000 paintballs: $60
1000 paintballs: $35
500 paintballs: $20
100 paintballs: $15

Compressed Air and CO2 fills/refills:
Compressed Air: Free!
CO2: Free!

Rental Equipment:
Mask: $5
Gun: $5

Feild Fees:
During a walk on day, which run from 8:15am to 3:00 pm (includes a bag of 500 paintballs) : $29
During a walk on night, Which run from 5:15pm to 10:pm (includes a case of 2000 paintballs) : $60
(If you do the math you save $30 going to a night game)

Staff: You can't find nicer refs and staff anywhere on the planet! Bob the owner, is an awsome guy he's very understanding if you have some complications or any questions, also he picks only the best refs he can find to ref the games you play. They wont make any unfair calls because, like bob will tell you, him and his refs have and still do play paintball sometimes they know what situations you might find yourself in. You might go play paintball on one of thier day games and then come back for another daygame and notice that one or two of the guys refing you last time are now playing the game with you. If the refs have to make a call that is difficult they will get in the middle of the action to come and inspect the situation to make a fair call. Like i said before all the people on staff there are all awsome people.

Food: They offer different kinds of soda or water and a few snacks like chips and stuff like that, but if you're the kind of person that realy needs to chow down during the before and after each round I suggest you bring something of your own.

Any Negative Aspects: None that I can really think of. I have a kickass time every time I'm there!

Review: This is to anyone who enjoys paintball. This was my first experience on Ambush's fields. Now, this will be my top choice to play. The feilds are great, and the prison is perfect. There are plenty of obsticles and the hidding places. The prison, I want to thank everyone who made the prison. It is awesome. The staff is great and the prices are not bad either. I enjoy playing here, and I am looking forward to the next scenerio game.

Review: This is my second time here for a scenario game. This is a great field and I had a great time for the Prison Break scenario game.

This field is constantly improving, as they just added a castle/prison. It is a nice sized structure which plays great. I love the angles and set-up, it really makes it exciting!

They have a great trailer park with a central tower, spool field, regular woodland w/ small structures, etc. there are also two tanks that cruise the field adding some noise and excitement.

Yet the best part about this place is the staff! They have a great bunch of guys they are safety conscious, friendly and willing to help you out. They are straight up and fair and this attitude also attracts honest players. I made many new friends up there the past two years and will return for every scenario game they will have. The paint is Diablo Nightmare and shot great through my flatline, I did not break one single ball!

I must give the owner, Bob Fulton, his props for building the prison in such a short time, it really looks and plays great - next year they are adding on a second floor w/ towers!!!

They have two portable toilets which were clean, even for the ladies! ;-) One recommendation is to bring your own food. They do have some snacks and drinks, but if you play hard you need a good hearty lunch.

Oh yeah, everyone gets a little prize at the end of the game!

Come get some!

This is my favorite field so far, I love the friendly atmosphere at Ambush!

Review: I went to the 07 Prison Break with a few friends and we had a blast! Two of my guys have never played before and the staff did a great job helping them get situated. All of the staff members were nice, safe, fair, experienced and ready to help. The fields were well taken care of and designed very well. The paint prices were a little high at $75 per case, but that would not prevent me from coming back. The owner was great and made sure everyone was happy. They do have some food and drinks, but I would suggest bringing your own. I can't say enough about this field and I can't wait for Prison Break II !

(I would give it an 11/10 if I could)

Review: We played there sunday 3/31/07 for the game Prison Break. Everything went well. We got a late start, but after that everything was gold. Props were set-up good, the field was nice and everything was played perfectly. The reffs were cool, helpfull, and i even knew 2 of them, so i know the reffs are good. They had snacks and drinks, free air fills, and I didnt have a ball break all day. I shot 2000 rounds of paint, and everyone shot without breaking. They were not 100% round, and flew a little off, but any paint that gives me no breaks is good paint. The owner is awsome. They even gave out some small prizes at the end of the day. Me and my team (Redneck Recon) had a blast, and we will definatly be back. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: On what seems like 100 acres Ambush is the best field I've ever played at BAR NONE. New for 2007 they now have a 60'x60' prison on a 4 acre field. you also got to check out Ambush night-ball on friday, saturday and sunday nights. The price of paint is pretty steep($60) but they'll make it up for you with the excitement and thrills. Ambush has grade A referees, who dont let any cheating slide, so you know you'll be playing a fair and clean game. With the 20' sniper tower in the middle of the trailer park field you feel like your on the top of the world while your pickin off the other teem 1 by1. Defidently check out Ambush, best field in PA

Review: This is a great field to play at. Ambush has some AWESOME fields, my personal favorite is the trailer field. They also have great scenario games that I suggest everyone goes to. The staff is great, they "Bend over backwards to make you have a great time" They also have great refs that can help you with your guns if they break. The refs are good in the way that they arnt always in your line of fire and they are always right there when you call for paint checks etc. There is generally the same people there everytime I go and they are great people to play paintball with, for all levels of paintballers. They have a wide area where you can set up your equipment Including emptied out trailers. They are also always changing the area around which keeps it new and exciting. I suggest that you play at this field as much as possible, whether its for their AWESOME scenario games or just a private party.

Review: well when i first got there I was surprised that it was 20 bucks to get in. At first glance it looks like a pretty crappy field but once you get in the woods and to the speed ball barrel field it is pretty sweet. they also have a trailer park place and a spool field in the woods. But the prices there are really crazy... its like 75 bucks to get 2000 paintballs.
though they do have free c02 fills so that is nice. they also have drinks and stuff for a dollar. over all this field ROCKS. i give it an 8 just because of the prices

Review: GOOD--this place rocks. they have so many different fields. they have the spool yard which is a bunch of huge spools in the middle of a open field, the trailer field which is one of the best i've played. they have the small woods and the big woods, but i played in cold, foggy weather so that made it hard and it was my first time but i still remember it like it was yesterday.

BAD--PRICE!! its 75$ for 2000 paintballs and its 20$ to get in. i thought it was very costly, but that's just me
