Only kids who are new like this field, or veterans who like to go dominate noobs. This is an actual conversation I've had:
Me: Lets play this weekend
Buddy: Lets go to planet and crush some noobs
Me: Yea we haven't noob stomped in a while huh.
Buddy: I can barely control my excitement.
If you are a noob, or have never played before, I strongly suggest this field. The FPS there is very low, and even though the prices are outragous, the guys are pretty helpful with new guys.
If you are anything except a noob, then don't play there. The prices are ridiculous, the field is the grossest thing I've ever touched. DO NOT SIT ON ANY SURFACE IN THE PLACE. THE FLOOR IS HIV POSITIVE.
This field is the spawning pool, and the cruel reality of paintball is down at Addicts.| Last edited on Saturday, February 10th, 2007 at 10:29 am PST |

ok for all you people who diss on the refs there about being in on the cheating and all that stuff just so you know its a lie........I work there and i would like you to propose to me how we can stop all the cheating lets see you catch everything that goes on there when there are 15 on 15 match's and you are the only referee.....trust me its hard.....and plus the staff there is really really safety oriented and yeah it might be way messy but it gives you really good slides....so you people who are dissing on planet just need to stop because we do the best we can...... |

Alright despite what everyone says, this field is pretty much the best indoor urban field in the state. Yes i agree that if they put in astro-turf throughout it would be much much better, and yes i agree that its pretty dirty in there, but seriously how do you guys propose they clean it off? It's not as if they are rubber inflatables that just wipe off. The downstairs is awesome. It's by far the most intense paintball action, you don't know where the paint flying at your head is coming from, and you have no idea whats around the corner.
The upstairs is fun( if you can run fast, or if you have a cocker!) it's basically two ledges facing each other connected by two bridges with a bunch of netted bunkers, and usually ends up as a sniper battle(but every once in a while there are some daring individuals that will run across the bridges and bunker the other team, that is if they don't get painted by there own team!). The pro-shop is cool, has some of the chillest workers they are all very safety oriented and they even cater to beginners on weekends they have beginner and rental games every other match. |

i went there when i was visiting my family and oh my gosh it was unorganized, messy, and completely unsafe being unorganized you had to split your self into teams not fun or fair when playing with brand new people new to paintball i gave it a 2 for those reasons and more the upstairs was the funest part of the "FIELD" the bottom was lame and not even worth playing i don't recommend this field to any one its just for people that go paint balling and have a LOT of MONEY no BYOP its pay 70$ for premium paintballs and you need admission go find a different field |

This field is really close to my house so I have been there a couple of times over the past 7 years. But never have I had a good experience. There is alot of paint spread all over the floor making it very dangerous to play. It costs alot if you want to play there. Even if you are a gold card member its still $70 bucks a case. I can buy two cases for that. But the price is not the biggest thing. Its just all around lack of care. If they would take care of the place a little better things would improve. |

I like the upstairs field at this place but the downstairs is dumb i think. If u come here don't expect to stay clean the place is a mess ur probably running in 2 inches of paint and shells because they have never ever cleaned it. Its not the safest field in the world because on the downstairs field is concrete on the middle that is very slick (i have slipped and fell here it wasnt fun). If it wasn't for the upstairs field i would never come to this place. |

Ya Paintball Planet isnt all that great. the guys are jerks (sometimes) when you are coming down the stairs it is really slippery, i went to hold onto the hand rail and that was really slippery to, i could hardly hold onto it! but i have never played in the arena, i have watched ppl play tho, and i have been there 3 times.
IF ANYONE IN UTAH (AROUND SOUTH JORDAN / WEST JORDAN / WEST VALLEY/ SANDY / MIDVALE) WANTS TO GO PAINTBALLING, LET ME KNOW! THANKS!| Last edited on Thursday, July 6th, 2006 at 1:04 pm PST |

this place is filthy, their are broken paint balls every where and its all concrete so watch your step u might slip (like i did) when we got there it was a good first impression but when i asked the guy at the desk for some help he was a total jerk sounded like he didn't want to b their ( why come to work then?) after we where done dealing with that jerk we where ready to play. i walk onto the field and i fall (again) seriously why don't they just clean this place once and a while? it was a tiny field and their was alot of close firing but it was ok i Guss nothing special me and my friend decided to leave after just three rounds because we where tired of having ot deal with that jerk behind the counter, he looked like he was a tattoo artist, spiked hair, spiked bracelet SPIKE EVERY THING! the field is ok the customer service sucks and the prices are steep ( $80 for 2000) and it wasnt even that great of paint
im giving this place a 3 -2 for prices -3 costumer service and -2 for the filth |

Well I think that this field like all other field has its strong points and some sucky ones. I think it is one of the best places to learn snapshots. But it isn't that great to learn to bunker, run, fast trigger speed, or teamwork. Some people complain about the price and I think if they are going to do that they need to find a different sport to play. Paintball is expensive get used to it. As for the crap all over the field from years of paintballs exploding all over, I think they should improve on that. Like take everythign out and clean it. Replace some piles of wood with air bunkers. However I have talked to them about it and they cannot afford to do that right now. But they are saving up for it. (using the money they get in the tip cup) So Its a really great field if you just want to have fun ( get dirty) and play paintball. The guys who work their are really nice and its a good place to go. |

paintball planet is a great place to start at. its pretty big and there is alot of things to hide behind if you are planning on hiding, both up and down stairs.
downstairs - overall pretty good. the maze is pretty crazy when you dont know where you are going but after a couple times going there the maze gets much more simple to understand the aspects of it. alot of windows to snipe people that arent looking your way. watch out for the famous bunker though, alot of close gunfire in there. the maze gives you a good look at the middle and some sections of the rooms. most people in the middle dont see you from the maze unless they are specifically looking in your direction. about ten year old dirt/sand on the ground which feels like uneven concrete, pretty good for traction.
middle - barrels are the main kind of bunker in the middle, some are two barrels put together. be careful you can be shot from inbetween the two barrels, but you can also see someone who doesnt see you. like i said before when in the middle your skills have to be at their peek, because you can get shot from middle, maze, and the rooms.
concrete ground not good when they dont clean at all. VERY slippery in the middle. you are better off popping up on someone rather than snapshooting. if you want to stay alive as long as possible stay out of the middle.
rooms - pretty good place to go. you can move up quick if you know what your doing, but again watch the middle. stay out of the windows. good traction too no slippery stuff. the best thing about going rooms is you can count how many opposing players went rooms also.
planet is by far the dirtiest paintballing field in utah, i havent even been to all the fields and i know that one. my advice is to rub, slide, crawl, over everything get dirty as possible so if you do get hit the ref wont know what to call. and when the ref doesnt know what to call most the time your still alive.
plenty of cheaters. when some cheats dont get mad just bunker them. refs are in on cheating also, so dont be afraid to shoot the ref, aim for skin
upstairs - up stairs is also pretty slippery, but it makes for good sliding. there is a bridge in middle that you can cross to get to the other side faster. becareful though you are in everyone sights when you go bridge. but if you can get there fast enough to take over the center bunker/net you can somewhat control the game. you prevent the other team fromcrossing the bridge and you have good angles on both the base and the far bunker. and if you can kill the player in the far bunker your team has an easier chance to cross around the end and hit unsuspecting players from their own side. i think the south side is better to start at, but again that could be just cause im right handed. players behind the nets can see everything without giving you the oppurtunity to shoot them so you have to be skilled with your marker if you want to kill someone.
my advice is even though you cant be hit from behind the nets stay low. if the opposing team doesnt know where you are you can snapshoot them or pop up on them to get yourself a kill. alot of paint flies upstairs. good luck
