this is the field that i started my paintball career on. ive been playing there for almost a year now plus i run a free field and go to another free field( cleveland mayhem) and by far THE RIDGE a.k.a greenridge is still far more superior , considering that its been there 13 years of same people taking care of it for free and vandlism happens often this field has stand up to the challenges and is still there. the people down there help out most of the time , 90 percent of the time they have chrono's and refs safety is big there. and i guarentee 100% that you will have a blast besides the hill going up at end of day.
p.s this is bring your own gear field so come perpared and sometimes guys come down with scuba's for hpa and dont mind filling for others for a small charge of a dollar or two.
AND THEY PLAY EVERY SUNDAY NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER IS OR HOLIDAY |

This place is great. It's free all you need is your own gear and paint. The people there are very nice and are willing to help people on skills and fixing the guns. It's a mix of speedball and woodsball. There are a lot of teenagers and adults. it makes for a good mix. It's open every Sunday all year even during the winter.A typical day is from around 10 to 3 or 4. Usually it is about 6 to 18 to a side. It's makes it hard to move around but, there are many cool scenerio type gams and also just deathmatches. Thsi plac eis so big it doesn't matter how many come to play. Make sure to wear darker colors. Like Camo it's in the woods so don't wear bright colors or you will standout badly. They really suppot safty and some people ref when they. Sometimes someone comes and ref's if there is a big crowd. It's a lot of fun and and very happy enviornment. Also after you start going there you will probably get a nickname and believe me it sticks with you. They call me Rabbit.| Last edited on Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 at 4:36 pm PST |

Pinnacle Woods - Much more costly (obviously) Slightly more organised but way less fun.
Other non-commercial fields - never this organized or safe |

This is the best run non-commercial paintball I have played at and I have been playing for over 10 years. The field is wooded, but with many bunkers and forts to break up the terrain. The variety and scope can't compare though to pinnacle woods. Play is layed back usually with a family atmosphere. There can be hotheads or unsafe players, but you have that where ever you play. By bringing your own paint and only making the $5 suggested donation you can play every weekend. This field is perfect for players of most skill levels, no real speedball setups and overly aggressive play is frowned on. The pluses outway the negatives brought up in other reviews. Safety has gotten much better in the year and a half I've been going there. I found out about it online, not an exclusive club for sure. Definitely worth checking out. |

simply amazing is all i have to say about the field and the people who play here. i showed up 11-16-03 as a walk on and was accepted from the minute got there. me and the 2 guys i came with heard about the field from a friend and from online. i had had problems with my gun all day ( using an old spyder i borrowed) and the lady of the group ( kasey i think) let me use her shocker while she took pictures for the web site. this action alone made me feel very welcome and i will be back! | Last edited on Thursday, November 20th, 2003 at 8:34 am PST |

This is a freebie field where you bring your own stuff. This place is full of hills and a creek runs through it. The people were nice and friendly. Age range from early teens to late 50's. The atmosphere is really laid back, TOO laid back. There were no refs or anybody enforcing safety rules. I'm a minor and nobody asked for my ID or make me sign waiver forms or explain safety rules. I saw about 4 people who never barrel plug their guns. I was shocked to see people in the staging camp fire their markers into the woods with no regard for where the paintball might land. They did this while other people were standing around with masks off. They did things that you could not get away with at a commercial field like Pinnacle Woods.
Other than the lack of law and order at the place, I say the field is nice. The field has some cool bunkers all over. I recommend this field if you like to play paintball, but don't have the money to play at commercial fields. If you go play there, you better have your mask on at ALL times. |

this field is excellent. It brings speedball and woods playing together. The field is nice because there is alot of close distant action but the course extends through the woods and makes for a good paintball course. The people there were nice and easy to get along with. They will help you with any of your problems and they know alot about it. |

This is a really nice field and best of all, it's FREE!! Yes, all you need is your own equipment and paint. The field is down the bottom of a ravine behind Greenridge Heights apartments. The field has a nice setup area and lots of bunkers. This is a wooded field with lots of hills and trees. There's a website with field pictures that you can check out. Games are every Sunday starting around 10-11 AM and ends around 2-3 PM.
The people who play there are really nice and always willing to lend a hand. Come join the fun!! |
