Showtime was the first place I ever played at, it is a very nice field, staff is friendly and very helpful, it has a large area for bags and all your stuff. I love the indoor field, its cheap to enter but the pricing for paint is very expensive, especially where its FPO. Their outdoor field I like except for the fact my brother had his mask stolen when he went to go get food along with his only CO2 tank and mask. I think stuff should be watched over better, several of my friends also had things stolen from them, and haven't returned because of thieves. Its a cheap affordable place to play, but security is a little loose. |

go there if u want to play cheap and have a good time. definitely one of the better fields around . the staff are great and will help you out if you need it as far as tech support food ect we order a good amount of pizza when were up there. plenty of staging room . i wish there were more teams that went to play there plenty of good players there already but we need some new players who think they have game to come down, also the outdoor is nice thats open on Sundays grilled food 3 areina fields 1 not finished and 2 woods Fields plenty of room to run around . call joe for info 1-508-673-5040 |

When I first got into paintball, I bought a crappy gun off the net. I brought the gun to the showtime shop and Joe took it as a trade in and I bought a better gun. I started going to the field and its great there. Nice people, everyone there is usually great to talk to and hang around with. The regular crowd is very welcoming and I eventually got into that crowd. Joe is really nice, he'll always help you out with gun trouble and stuff, and if he has to fix something for you it's done really cheap. The field itself is really cheap to get into, and the air all day for 10 bux is great, cuz days there last a long time. BYOP rocks. Joe is always changing the fields around and stuff 2, its kept in good shape. Joe has 4 shops now, and an indoor and outdoor field. I've only been to his first shop and field, but they are both great. Definetly check the place out. For those asking for info heres the pro shops info:

I got my start at Showtime, 4+ years ago playing in a speedball tourny.
Last year there were a few tournys hosted at Showtime and there was a good turnout and there is promise of a lot more tournys this year.
Ive never enjoyed rec playing but the fort field gives you what you need - a fort and plenty of coverage/bunkers.
Speedball fields are good, theres always something new when you go. Joe usually puts down mulch to cover the stones and roots which seemed to solve most the problems at least for me. Hey its better then PNL's carpeted cement indoor floor where ive slipped plenty of times and banged up my knee and messed up my air system.
As far as the waivers go, Joe will make you sign the waivers if you are new to the field or he doesn't know you. I know ive signed hundreds of those things so why keep signing more each time I go?
Try it out, never had a bad experience yet. |

Where do I begin.....
Pros: cape cod isnt to far away.....take the drive!
Cons: No waivers, Netting covers fire escape, no refs, bunkers nailed to floor, filthy field and staging area.
I highly doubt this place is legal or even insured for that matter, Joe should be ashamed of himself calling that a paintball field its more like a junkyard.... I personally think the former owners did an outstanding job. The field was always being changed and made better......how can you do this now with the bunkers nailed down? The field isn't even fully netted.....there has to be a safety issue there. I think I'll stop there for now but just one last thing I along with alot of other people think that joe does'nt do anything for paintball except put a huge damper on it!!!!!

The showtime fields are in good shape. This field is located in the Freetown state forest. Joe is always making some changes to better the fields. He sets up tournaments on his air ball field which is a good time. They have a hyper ball field, an air ball field, and two rec fields. One of the rec fields has a fort on it which was re-done last year and is great for playing capture the fort. He recently bought First Shot in Fall River and has done a nice job setting it up. I heard that he just acquired another out door field in Fall River and I'm waiting to hear more on that. i ve played many of the fields in the area, providence pnl indoor(tourney field) which are about the same, esp which is worse and first shot which i like more along with capecod which os better to but keep in mind the huge amount of land |

my thoughts the rpice cant be beat and they usually have a good turn out ivr been there a fwew times and the fields were in decent shape i like indoor and this field show some ofthe reasons whith being bumpy with a few rocks but overall pretty good
okay i want to say that this review was based upon the outdorr field before i saw and heard what he did to a beutifull field that mike and erin had erected in fall river, i personally never see myself going to his field again out of respect for the game and out of respect for mike and erin. also as far as being legal, no not unless things have changed, little if anything this man does for paintball is legal, and i have been told by reliable sources. im getting upset so i will stop.
the comments i left reflected the outdoor field, and were made without the knowlege of whatr he may be doing to harm the sport that i love

This is an awesome field. I used to not like it, but not that I know the owner and the players I think its the best field in the area. Its super cheap, and the other players are cool (the old idiots are gone). The indoor field is great, it has tons of airball bunkers, and there is a large staging area and the front office where you can buy drinks and stuff. First it is in the middle of nowhere. Its in a state forest. I really doubt that this place is legal. Another sign, no wiavers need to be signed. Run down like crazy. The building they serve food out of looks dilapitated. Only two speedball fields. On air and then a hyperball/barrel field. The fields have woods shaving eveyrwhere and and crappy playing surfaces (roots sticking out everywhere and big rocks)

OK i like first shot i mean the lday ha sa good store but her field is indoor nuf said . SHOwtime is the best field around here i mean joe (owns the field ) is really nice and the fields are clean i liked the woods ball field and the speed ball fierlds are great its a pretty large field oh ya and joe owns like3 stores which area all great . and if you were wondewring about the name its because one of his stores is part of a vido store and vidos showtime hence the name showtime paintball but its a great field you should go best field in my oppinion . |
