This is an awsome feild with awsome staff i have benn playing there since the beginning i have made friends with the staff and they will hook me up
I play on byop night
If u play there u may know brendon im not to fond of him he kind of in his own world I like Paul and Tim there cool
So if u are looking for a good time beginer or serios player go ahead
if u are just a beginer i would suggest going on tues nights starting at 6.00 pm it is bring your own paint (byop)
if u are more experienced go on wed nights it is also (byop)
byop is much cheaper for the same price as 100 over the counter hot box balls u can get a box of specturm

Although at the start of my trip to PSI i thought their facilities could be improved but it quickly got better. For example; the field was hard to find because the sign by the road is very small and you have to actually drive around a huge building just to find the front door. When I entered Paintstorm I notice that it is quite small inside. It wasn't that bad because there was a small number of people but I would not like to be there when it is crowded. For location I give it a 4/10
On the lighter side the field was fun not too small or too big. It was perfect for 4 on 4 or 3 on 3 games. The refs were very informative of the rules during the pre-game instuction as well as very helpful when you had question or if you just wanted to talk paintball. I got some helpful hints for my new ion. Paintprices are ok on week days(25.00=500) but way to expensive on the week end.(40.00=500) They do have good deals there tho like 2 for 1 fridays and student thursdays. Field,Refs,and prices 9/10
Proshop: although its good having a proshop at your field you also have to be able to help people. My cousin only needed a $5 part ad he waited atleast 2o minutes IF NOT MORE! I am looking for a good speed hopper for my ion and I asked for prices and the guy said it was $120 ad UP! I've seen good ones for $75 and up. The proshop I give 2/10
Overall this field is great for you and somefriends on a weeknight to go play for fun.

This Field is AWESOME!
The staff are some of the coolest people, and the Ref's we had were awesome, especially this older guy who was the coolest ref ever, they keep a game going almost constantly even through theres like 30 to 40 people playing in teams of 5 or 6.
The proshop there is awesome and i plan to go back there buy some stuff tomorrow, ill update this review when i can. They have really good deals, i got a J&J ceramic for 45 bucks, the cheapest ive seen it elsewhere was 55 bucks. They also have monthly specials on hoppers, barrels, and other equipment.
The only problem i had was their price is a little steeper than other places, but you definitely get what you pay for. However if your low on cash, try to take advantage of student night or BYOP weds. I've played on student night before and its really fun, i want to go back and try BYOP weds when i get the chance.
theres also lots of room to store your stuff even through it can get crowded in the staging area. Your can also watch the games from the staging area because all that between you and the game are big arena style safety nets, so you can watch the games while you catch your breath and reload or whatever.
The Ref's also make sure everyone has fun and is safe, a group of older college guys kept taking their masks off jouring the games and the refs eventually kicked them off since they wouldn't keep them on.
Overall the Best field i've played at, i will continue going there, if you want the best paintball experience in Ottawa go to PSI.| Last edited on Wednesday, March 21st, 2007 at 3:12 pm PST |

Great ProShop - has some of the lowest prices around, even when comparing to online national retailers
Owners and proshop staff are quite helpful.
Field is on the smaller side but they switch up regularly and is a lot of fun to play!!
Complaints:
the ref's - lately they've been getting younger and younger and many of them are pretty untrained (PSI used to have some of the best refs around) -- i've even seen a ref there recently too afraid to walk across the field to do a paint check and to actively watch the game and make the calls, much of the time refs there these days are not even paying attention to what's happening
HOWEVER, when tournies occur PSI busts out all it's wicked refs and things are awesome!!
field paint - used to sell decent Menace field paint but now selling some XO hotbox stuff and some of it is such small paint even my freak kit can't fit the paint....rolls cleanly through a 0.679cal bore hahah
Overall a pretty good field that sometimes has quality reffing. Proshop is amazing, buy everything you need there (AVOID JT's Surplus shop)!! The owners are helpful and happy to help if you run into any gun problems and stand 110% behind what they sell. |

PSI is by far the worst paintball experience I have ever had and I have been playing for about years. I went there with a few friends and from the time we walked in till the time we walked out it was a horrible experience.
1. The staff is rude and not very helpful (I read other reviews saying they are great, this is either thier staff or we caught the entire staff on a bad day). They are pushy and all they care about is getting your money, you play and get out.
2. The field is small, I have more space to play in my backyard!
3. The ref's are inexperienced and do nothing but stand there. Paint check? Forget that!
4. The floor is like a skating rink it is so coated in paint.
5. Barrel Condoms are supposed to be used but that does not seem the case for some people.
6. Proshop is nice but prices are inflated. Anything they sell you can buy anywhere else for less from what I seen. I do alot of reserach before buying.
That is just a summary of the bad I experienced at this field. I understand there is outdoor fields to but I have not seen those so I cannot comment but the service I received at PSI left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I will not attend any of thier fields again. |

I was in the area on vacation with a friend we both play paintball and decided to give this place a try. We went in earlier in the day to ask for prices and hours. The staff was very helpful. We went on a wensday which is their byop night. It was 20 dollars entry which inscludes all day air. The paint prices were very cheap. $35 for white box $45 for hot box and $60 for menace but if you buy 2 cases of menace the next case is half off. I didn't have my gun with me so I used a rental the rentals are bt4's. They say that they do not allow rampng but people definatly were. The feild was very small but clean for a indoor. They stopped letting people in at once 40 people were there which is a good idea because the staging area is small. The people in the pro shop were helpful throughout the night but the service was very slow. The refs were ok but i asked for three paintchecks and didn't get checked for any of them. The refs did keep the games moving fast. The lighting is a little dim but isn't too bad. Over this is a good feild. |

I've not actualy played on this field, but I will tell you about the great experience I had there with their pro-shop.
I went there to fill up my 12oz and 20oz CO2 tanks and buy some paintballs with a friend. We went somewhere to practice a litte, but my 20oz pressure ring blew up and my friend's safety went crazy, too. So we went back to PSI and they repaired it fast and even told us what exactly happened and how to not experience it again. Ok, it was basic safety rules and kinda stupid from us to have ignored it, but the guys there treated us like friends, not like jerks who don't know how to use their gear.
The aftermarket service is really great. They give good advices and really care about you having fun. After all, if you have a great time, you'll come back, which means more money. But that doesn't show up in their attitude. Like many said before me, there is a friendly ambiance at PSI.
Their prices are sweet, too. From the three places that I know, it's PSI Paintstorm that has the lowest prices. They also have a good choice of gear to buy. If they don't have it, they'll order it for you, no problem.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with PSI. I'll go back there anytime for gear, advice and, for good measure, to try their Wednesday BYOP.

PSI is the first field I ever went to, from my first time playing until now, roughly three years, I have been going to paint storm and I have had not one bad experience, with the occasional time that when I am filling one of my CO2 tanks I have to tell the guy that is doing it that the tank is empty not full, they think that it is full because it is a crappy brass eagle (or seagull, whichever you prefer) tank that weighs as much as it does empty as it does when full. Other than that, I've just been treated with friendly staff and fellow paintballers aswell and overall a great time. Wednesday night is especially intense because it is a walk-on/BYOP night and and you can get two cases of paint at the proshop for the same pice you would pay for one at the registration desk, and games are usually 20 players in size (10 to a team), and man the paint flies everywhere. if your team wants a good place to train for tourneys, come on wednesday night. Overall, a wonderful field. |

Painstorm field is great size and has a great layout, great staff too proshop people are very helpful. The feild is open all week and they have very good prices. If you are an experienced player i would recommend going on wed. nights for bring your own paint night. Their r a lot of great players and it will give you some competition |
