Review: Staff - the staff are nice (because they have to be) this field is only good for short term, once in a while use because more than that and you get bored.
Fields- the only field that is truly fun is the speed ball field there. good for newbies but not long-term use.
Rentals- the rentals range from what looks to be a piranha sts to a tippmann 98 custom with air and co2 refills avalible.
Price- the prices for what i got made me a little sketchy because it was expensive for a bad time.
Good for new players of all ages. Bad for long term use or experienced players

I would have to say that for an all good time with great staff and endless hours of good paintball go to Westside paintball, my personal favorite

Review: **Re-Written for ease**

The Field

There are three "fields", Field 1 (my favorite, not too woodsy, but not speedball-ish) Field 2 (very bushy, many trees, minimal bunkers), and Field 3 (aka 'The Jungle', because non-thermals will fog up, and its very thick forest.) They also have a speedball field which serves its purpose, but it should be fixed up a bit. Too many holes in the bunkers formed over time that are a biotch to deal with.

Game Types

They usually play 'capture the flag', or 'charge of the light brigade' (reverse CTF), but every-so-often you will get 'Elimination' or 'Vitals'. For bigger groups, they will play 'cross corners' on field 1, 2, and the castle, which kicks ass! They sometimes do other little game-types, but they are numerous and somewhat rare, so I wont bother writing them all..

The Staff

The staff there is really great. They're nice, especially to the newbies, and arent money-hungry. If your gun breaks while the owner (Ron) is there, he'll fix you up for free, unless you need an expensive part or something. You'll never get scowls from the staff, and they are really nice to talk to!

The Refs

Well, they've had problems with lazy refs, but most of the lazy ones are fired. The ones now arent lazy, even the young ones, but sometimes getting a paintcheck is tough. While this may piss you off, it is just because they caiter to the newbies, so if you ask for a paint check at the same time as a 9 year old is about to get slaughtered by two angels, you'll have to wait.

The Prices

With a $12.50 field fee, and $60 for a case of 2000 paintballs (10$ less if you buy at the redmond or monroe shops) aswell as some other things you may need, such as barrel condoms for $7, or masks for $5 rental, you're set for cheap! If you dont own your own marker, you can rent a Tippmann 98 custom (or pay $10 for an upgraded barrel, or another $20 for better guns, such as an '04 cocker) all-day air and service, 300 paintballs, and your field fee for $25.00! Also, at the shops, they sell markers, parts, clothing, etc for around the same prices as you'll find anywhere, without the stupid shipping time and fee from on-line places. That and the advice is great!

The Players

Depending on the day, there could be 10-300+ people at the field. Everyone's nice, and you make friends fast. For instance, while duking it out with someone, I had a paintball chop. I didnt have a squeegee or swab on me, and nor did the ref, so the guy I was shooting at stopped and tossed me his squeegee in the middle of a round! If you have a problem, ask around, and if you just want to chat, talk to anyone. Definately the nicest crowd I've seen! The majority of the players are newer, but there are a good deal of vets. Because of this, rules help the newer people to have a good time with minimal damage to themselves, or the game. The "3-break" rule is great, since a Tippmann has a good chance against an Angel. While this may seem "wrong", remember, its all about having a good time. Besides, that'd suck to have 30 welts from the same guy on your first day out o.O;;

To be continued.

Review: I have a few years of experience with less than decient fields, but wow this is just sad. I played at splatt'em for about 7 hours and hated every second of it. I was there with my team practicing for our first scrimmage against a local team, so all we played was speedball. The speedball field is HORRIBLE. It's just like the recball field except it has about 4 more bunkers. There are trees all over the SPEEDBALL field and there is almost no grass the the field is deffinatly not flat. The bunkers are quite bad most are just pieces of plywood but there are some pretty fair standup ones. The 2 times I played on the recball fields I finaly noticed that the field was just a piece of lightly cleared out land. Paint is cheap here and it has some good refs but that is about it. I would not recomend this field to anyone.

Review: Overall, I was not impressed. The owner is nice but he as to be or he doesn't feed his family. The refs are pretty lame. I witnessed a lot of newbie abuse. Some of the woodsball fields were uninspired. I got tired of the whole experience and when they encouraged me to come back, I said not likely. Tons of wiping everywhere, and none of them newbies, who should because they would get hit like fifty times. I got hit by three balls from different directions and a ref said I wasn't out from over shooting and they should be out. I explained that it was from two different guys and it was too late to start paying attention to the game. The sup air field brings it up to a 3 if there are no refs around to be annoying and stupid.

Review: Splat 'em is a real nice field because it combines speedball w/ some good woods fields. It has players of all experience from newbies to tournament players for all levels of challenge. The people who own and work the field are super nice and very friendly. You won't find nicer folks. I only have one bad thing to say about this field, and that is I think their games are spaced too far apart. I'm talking about playing on their woods fields. I don't know if this was because of the players who were there the days I was, or if the refs just let them have that much time in between games, but I found myself sitting waiting for the next game longer than I would have liked. And I mean like around 20min or so. Other than that, the field is very nice.

Review: I only understand one of the complaints of this field. Ok the only negative I Have for this field is the refs. As everyone says the refs are just to plain young. They don't do paint checks, I belive their trying but eighteen year old regulars just walk right over them. But bad service, they have the best i've ever heard of! The prices are good and fair. The manager is a nice guy I don't see how he could be interprated as mean. Their Rec Fields are really good. One is a bit unfair but with a good team can easily take. Anyway I belive it to be a great field, go to it you won't be dissipointed!!!

Review: Lets break it down:

Managers:
Most of the time the feild is ran by competent, good guys, that will keep the atmosphere of the game fun and laid back. However, there is one man who I think just ruins it, but I won't say who he is. He takes well over a half hour to do the breifing to start the games, and he has to breif each and every player who comes on later, which is good, but he makes the rec ball wait for them, which can be more than 15 minutes... The Actual Owner of the feild, Ron, and his kids, run the feild very well. They keep the games going, the feild organized, and make sure everyone is having a good time.

The Games/Feilds:
Splat 'em Sports has some truly awsome feilds. Field 1 I think is the ultimate recball feild, its nice an open, allows for good movement, and its not a bunch of sitting around, and creeping through bushes. Feild 2, its a more bushy feild, but I think one thats still worth playing, especially if your into more, well, Recreational Paintball. Feild 3, the jungle, is the rec ball players dream, I personnaly hate it, but everyone else seems to love it. Its very thick woods, has big tree stumps, and some of the games can get intense.
They play games like Capture the Flag, Charge of the Light Brigade (Reverse Capture, you take your flag to their base), Elimination, Vitals (Only head and torso count), center flag, and my favorite, Cross Corner. Incross corner you play both feilds one and two, with both teams starting on a separte feild, its just an awsome game, you gotta play it.

The Reffing:
I feel the reffing has improved. The lazy refs have been fired, and replaced by older and better refs. However, there still are a few immature ones left, but they're learning. Last weekend the reffing was really kicked up a notch. The manager breifed the refs, and they started to do a really good job on watching people, performing paint checks, and keeping the games running smoothly. They were cracking down on cheaters, if they saw a wipe, they would pull that player, and make him sit out the next game. Also, if you told them to watch a player for wiping, and they were in the general area, they would usually go watch him, and look for the cheater to wipe. The reffing has seriously gotten much better.

Safety:
This is one of THE SAFEST fields I have ever payed at. The refs are constantly making sure masks are down on the feilds, that barrel plugs are in, and that all the renters and some of the youngin's are wearing their masks properly. All the fields are netted off nicly, so you can safely take off your mask in the staging area, without having to worry at all.

Overall, this is an awsome rec ball field, I am a tournament player myself, but sometimes I like to hit up the rec ball fields just to have some fun. I highly recommend Splat Em Sports, and I think it deserves a 10/10. In the 4 years I have been playing at this field, I have seen nothing but improvment, well, except for a few months where the reffing suffered drastically becuase of immature and lazy refs.

Saturday is hte day to go, they usually have over 50 people there, sometimes over 100! They are the second largest feild in this part of Washington right now I think, next to the tournament feild STP.

GO TO SPLAT EM, YOU'LL LOVE THE FIELD!!!

Review: I love splat'em because usually they are easy going as i am and also the staff has always been good to me. The have the best sausages there to eat at luch which seems to rplnish all my enery for the next half of the day. The only reason they would be any problems are the refs. though, ive always had good luck with them, on occations i have found them slacking off in the later times of the day. Mostly though they do look for any cheating that happens. Their rec ball especially their "jungle" area is the best compared to my friend's backyard (trust me thats saying alot). Though iam not into hyper ball that much that field is ok but obviously not their greatest highlight. One thing though lately they havent been managing their rentals so i suggest buying a gun or borrowing it from a friend other wise u may get a broken gun all day.
