Speed ball- If ur in 2 speed ball this course is a lil below average its ok but theres no air bunkers, stickers, n hardly eny stand ups. Its good 4 5man at the most but is great for 3man. There hasnt eva been a tourney here trust me, my friend n i call all the time bout them.. I personally enjoy speed ball more than woods ball so if ur looking for a good speedball course this probably wouldnt be your fav.. n u can trust me on that if ur a newbie caz ive been in 6 tourneys//
Woods ball- Im not really a woods baller but when i do play my usual place to come to is here it is great for woods ball!!!!!!!n on saturday theres bout 10-20 ppl out here n on sun day its about 15-40!!!!!!!!its crazy on sunday... |

This field is the only field in the salina area that is worth playing. The owner is great and easy to work with. There are essentially 3 courses out there. The first (and one i use most) is the speedball course it is fairly well set-up and accommodates 4-12 players (2 teams) very well. It is set up with barrels and other miscellaneous junk for bunkers. They are intelligently spaced and provide good enough cover to be a punk bunker sitter (if that's what you want to do). The only complaint i have about this field is it could be a little longer front to back. The width is just about right but you can shoot from one team start to the other team start with fair accuracy (not just lobs or miracle).
The next course is the alamo course. it is basically a fort attack or defend course (hence the alamo) it is a good change from speed ball and can be fun for 4-10 players. there is also a woods area where you can play woods ball but we have never played it as the alamo and speedball are fun enough for us.
in closing we are a fairly constant group out at this field and dave the owner is very accommodating. we (my group of 4-10) play out here almost every sunday if you live in the salina area and can get yourself to the field (and are 16 and up) email me and we can get together nsutter@cox.net |
