Review: This field was great. I played with a few of my friends there and the fields weren't too big or too small. The rentals are Tippmann 98 Customs that work great. The rates are great.

You have to use the paint they give you and the paint they give you isn't that great. It swoops and swirls all the time.

The overall experience was good. I had a great time and recommend it to anyone.

Review: I just recently played in the Wizard of Oz scenario and since I walked onto the field my experience had been great. I had been talking to one of the guys who were putting it on and had some inside scoop so I was able to be put on the Flying Monkey squad which were not connected to either of the two teams and could do whatever we wanted. We were welcomed onto the field and the orientation explained everything we needed to know but wasn't one of those half an hour ordeals. Safety was stressed all day but I love having both my eyes so it didn't bother me. The prices were really reasonable and since we played at this scenario, they gave us tickets to redeem for gatorade, pop, pizza and more. Since my team was a mercenary force the entire time, I never got to feel how the game flowed but in the end the point score was a ten point difference so my guess was everything was good. I really enjoyed coming out to this field and would deffinately recommend it to any begginner player to an experienced scenario gamer like me. In fact, there will be a Star Wars scenario in November so check their web site occasionally and I want to see you out there.

Review: I just attended the Zombie Nights scenario game and it was amazing. This was my first time with Paintball Country and it was top notch. Here are my thoughts:

Pros:
- Very friendly staff (for the most part, see one and only con)
- Fair refs
- Very competitive pricing
- Well maintained field and excellent use of props and area (gotta love the golden chicken!)
- Knowledgeable tech on site and only charged $5
- Compressor on site (4.5k PSI fill EVERY TIME)

Cons:
- One ref/staff member was VERY RUDE. A good friend of mine came to visit just to play this game. He shoots an old school shoebox Shocker and a fiber wrapped CO2 tank. (yes fiberwrapped. do some research, kiddies). Just because this guy had never seen one, he refused to fill it. Honestly, that's not the problem. I understand completely why he wouldn't want to fill it since he'd never seen one before. HOWEVER, he COMPLETELY REFUSED to even speak to my friend. Apparently, he was horribly offended by him even asking to have that tank filled. Finally, after we got the owner on the phone, he got the tank filled. The owner even asked to speak to the employee but he REFUSED TO TALK TO HIM TOO! Just seems to me like someone needs to teach this guy how to interact with customers.

On a happier note, the rest of the staff was PERFECT. JEOII, HUGE kudos for doing such a great job with the coordination. Hopefully you'll get to play next time.

RATING: 8. Only because of the staff member who was so rude.

Review: This is the best field that I have ever played at.

1. Safety- PBC is probably the biggest on safety that I have ever heard of or seen. You MUST have your barrel plug in at all times, no exceptions. The staff usually let it go the first time, but then they will have you skip a round or two the next time.

2.Fields-PBC has 7 fields, 3 speedball, 1 woodsball, box field, trailer field, and spool field. The box and trailer fields are horrible. They are tight and usually the ten foot surrender rule doesn't apply, because of the small fields. However, the rest of the fields are great and very well maintained.

3.Hours-PBC could use some more hours. They go from 11 to 5 on Saturdays and 1 to 5 on Sundays. However, if you don't like to be at the field for the whole day, the hours are perfect.

4.Prices-The prices are fantastic. Paint is between $45 and $65, for pretty high grade paint. Everything in the proshop is fairly priced, and CO2 is pretty cheap as well. The whole price list is at www.paintballcountryohio.com

5.Rules-As I said before, the staff is very strict. There is a 10 foot surrender rule, for mostly everybody, unless otherwise requested. The refs are also very strict about barrel plugs and masks (as they should be!). For the most part though, the safety does not interfere with the fun.

6. Services-The proshop offers maintenence on guns, of coarse for a price. The cool thing is, they will fix your gun right in front of you. PBC also hosts birthday parties and special events for anyone.

7.Proshop-The air conditioned proshop is very well maintained. They have TONS of gear, including guns, packs, jerseys, pants, masks, lenses, barrels, and hoppers. The prices are excellent, as some are cheaper than the internet.

8. Staff-The staff is very nice and helpful. If you have a question, they will always lead you in the right direction. I have seen countless staff members helping out new players with guns, gear, and the dreaded first time CO2 users.

9. Refs- The refs are very fair. They do a great job with safety and a great job with keeping the games in check. Their paintchecks are very easy and don't distract players as I have seen at other fields. They have the best refs in the Cincinnati/Dayton area.

10. Players-There are always a wide variety of players at PBC. There are usually a few groups which are Young Guns/First Timers, Walk ons/ Regulars, and those inbetween. If you want to go there, there is always going to be someone at your skill level.

11. Facilities-The facilities are ok. The proshop and field areas are very tidy, but the porta potty could use a little love. Overall though, nothing really to get angry over.

12. Food-PBC offers snacks, pizza, pop, and Gatorade. I'm not sure of the prices on those though. I do know that they are not outragous or anything.

Overall, I highly recommend Paintball Country. Its the best field in the Tri-State area!

Review: Safety: Safety is Paintball countries main thing. They take it very seriously. If u get out in a game you have to put ur barrel bag on/barrel plug. You have to keep your mask on at all times unless they say so.

Fields: They have 7 fields. Xball, 2 hyperballs, a trailer field, maze field, box field, and a woodsball field.

Prices: Field fee is $10. All day air is $6 and paint can range from $45-$65.You have to buy their paint you can't bring your own

Proshop: Air condition big proshop. They have everything u pretty much need to play rentals, mask, paint, air, etc.

Staff: All staff is nice but they can be strict about saftey because they don't want any1 to get hurt but they are always nice.

Refs: Refs are good they check everyone if u call for a paintcheck and when a person is out they let u know.

Food: They have a pretty good selection of food like pizza, slusies, gatorade, coke, water, etc.

I would recommend this field to anyone. I think its the best field around.

Review: This field is alright. I like the trailer course, it's interesting. The Woodsball will get boring after a few times playing there, so alternate between Woods, and other games like Speedball, or something.

I like the shop that they have, they have guns, rentals, air refills, food (Pizza!), drinks, and pretty much anything and everything you need for paintballing.

The people there are generally nice, and make sure you get your gun chronoed!!

I think one of the guys on the Woodsball game that I played on the 15th had his gun cranked up a little bit... That gun was shooting too fast, and too hard to be at the normal 270 - 280 fps.

All-in-all, it's a pretty good place, I would definetely recommend it.

Review: I have been paintballing at this field for quite some time now, and for the most part, each time has been an amazing experience. They only need to get a couple things changed to make it better.

Safety: Safety is Paintball Countrys #1 priority. When off the field, a barrel plug must be on a barrel at all times. When on the field, a mask must be worn at all times, even when a game ends. There are no exceptions to these 2 rules. Those are their 2 big rules. Some other important rules include a 10 ft. rule, in which if you are within 10 feet of someone you cannot shoot them, but instead call point-blank, or dead-man. Another one is overshooting people. You cannot shoot someone more than 3 times. Other minor rules include;dead men don't talk, if its not yours don't touch it, etc.

Fields: Paintball Country has 3 major fields and 2 minor fields. The major fields include an X-Ball field, made up of air bunkers, a Hyper Ball field, made up of large pipe bunkers, and a Trailer field, made up of 2 tractor trailers facing each other with spools in the middle. The 2 minor fields include a small box field, and a spool maze. Personally I think both these two small fields are horrible and should be torn down to make a bigger better field, but oh well. The X-Ball field is awesome if you like air ball. The only thing with that field is that they will occasionally change the setup and make it really really gbad. But most of the time it is a good field design. The hyperball field is fun, even though you can't slide into the bunkers unlike the X-Ball field. Both fields I forgot to mention do have snakes.

I am adding this into my review. There is another field that I completely forgot about. I am sorry. There is a woodsball field that is about 1/2 mile from the proshop and the other fields, that you ride on a hay wagon to get there. I cannot say anything about this woodsball field because I have never been down to the woods. From what I've heard from other people about it though, is this; if you like woodsball, you will like this field. If you do not like woodsball, you will not like this field. Apoloziges for the lack of information on this field, but I myself do not play woodsball. If I can convencie myself to go sometime, I will post my thoughts and reviews about it.

Hours of Operation: This is one area where I think Paintball Country needs to improve at. They are only open on Saturdays 11-5 and Sundays 1-5. In addition to extending those hours, they also need to have some kind of summer schedule where there open more days a week.

Prices: Decent. Field fee is $10, all day air is $6, paint can vary depending on the type from $50-$65 (case), a rental gun fee is $25 with all day co2, 200 paintballs, and a mask.

Rules: Covered most of them in the safety section.

Proshop: Excellent. Their proshop customer service is exceptional. IF you have anykind of problem with your gun, there is always someone in there who can fix it for you for free. As for equipment, they could have a better selection in some areas, but for the most part, they will usually have what you need. I'm not sure, but I do not think they will order anything for you.

Staff: Good. As I mentioned above, if you are having problems with your gun they will usually figure it out and fix it for you for free.

Refs: Good. Almost all of them are fair and reasonable. They will usually cut you some slack if you accidentially forget to put your barrel plug in. On the field they will do paint checks on people if you ask them to.

Players: From my experience, there has not yet been a player that I have not enjoyed playing with at PAintball Country. Everyone there is out to have fun and get better at paintball. There have been numerous times where I have overshot people, and I apologized after the game and they did not make a big deal about it.

Facilities: Here is another area where I think Paintball Country needs to improve. All they have is a crappy single portolett. Nowhere to wash your hands. If you plan on going paintballing here, bring hand sanitizer or water and soap.

Food: Good. They offer candy, pizza, chips, water, soda, gatorade, slushies, and some other things.

OVerall I think this is a great field. The only things I recommend that Paintball Country changes are as followed; tear down the 2 small crappy fields and make another larger bigger and better field, get some kind of permanent bathrooms with toilets and sinks. Stock their proshop with some more goods (detents, barrels). Other than that this field is perfect. IF you live near da Nati, I would recommend you try this field out sometime.

Review: This feel is grade 'A' quality and is almost perfect in every way.

Safety:
- The staff there covers the saftey big time and makes you watch a video if it is your first time playing. This is actually really nice for all the new kids because it tells them what the barrel plug is, when to take off your goggles, finger on trigger, etc.

- They are very keen on masks and barrel plugs. They don't want anyone getting shot for something as stupid as no barrel plug in, or getting your eye shot out because you didn't want to wear a mask an extra 3 seconds.

Fields:
- They have a good amount of fields. XBall, Maze (crates), Mini-field, 2 Hyperballs, and a trailer vs. trailer field. Paintball Country is also making new fields soon to play on which is great.

Hours of operation:
- Open on Saturdays from 12-5 and Sundays from 1-5. This is kind of sad because you know how it is... you never want to stop playing. So only 5 hours or so on a Saturday is really a bummer.

Prices:
- $10 field fee, $6 unlimited air, $15 a bag of paint, etc. The field fee is kind of high but with the amount of fields they offer, and the quality of them... I am willing to pay that.

Rules:
- No shooting within 10 feet if you are a walk-on or regular. No shooting someone more than 3 times. Barrel plug in when off the field, and mask on at all times on the field. That is really the mainly rules they force strongly. Other rules are dead men can't talk, but they won't get on your case about it.

Proshop:
- It is always clean and is run in an air-conditioned building. Everything is easy to find and people are always there ready to help.

Staff:
- They help as much as they can. But when you have 60+ players out and about on the fields it is hard to help everyone who wants it.

Refs:
- As I said a couple times... they are strict on safety rules. But they are also very, very professional. They do paintchecks when people call it, scream deadman and just everything you expect.

Food:
- Offers a nice selection of sweets and lets you order pizza for a party group if you have one. But he is also selling slices anytime.

Drinks
- Paintball Country has a ton of drinks. Coke, water, gatorade, slushies and more.

Bathrooms:
- The only real bathroom there is just a port-o-pottie and is kind of gross but it gets the job done.

Review: Overall I did not like this field at all, and its my least favorite one. I was only here once and I do tend to like playing scenario so this wasn't the best field for me right off the bat.

Safety - They are really anal about the rules here it is a safe place. A safety video is required before you play which makes this an excellent place for beginers.

Fields - If you like speedball they have a HUGE range of speedball courses. They are rather small though and some of the fields have no real seperation between them. The woodsball course is really just a slightly larger speedball course in the woods. They do have a field with two large trailors and a bunch of spools in the middle. That trailor field is AMAZING for attack and defend games and I will probably go there just again to play more attack and defend scenarios.

Prices: Field Fee seems a bit high (10$), especially if your going to be buying 60$ worth of paint, but this happens at most fields. Rentals for a Tippmann 98 are 25$.

Staff: The owner here seems like a really nice guy, he was helping out some of the players ther but I really didn't need to much help in the pro shop.

Refs: There was one that played with us the whole day and he was terrible. He kept complaining about playing and was not out on the field helping with paint checks or anything. He also was not very prone to the idea of changing up the games (IE: playing anything besides elimination).

Players: There were only 10 or so other players there with us and they were really young. They only liked sitting back and waiting, no movement at all. Which made elimination games on speedsball courses rather borring.

All in all, I think I might have caught paintball country on a bad day but I'll try them again next sunday just to make sure.
