safety- The refs at paintball command are very strict about safety. If you take your mask off before you get to the staging area or take your barrel cover off in the staging are, they will give you a warning and the next time you do it, you have to sit out a game. 10/10
fields- Their woodsball field is huge. i've gotten lost in it a couple of times. They have a crossfield for elimination games with a stream that seperates the 2 sides. They have 2 speedball fields which I have never played on because I don't feel like wasting my money on so much paint. 10/10
hours of operation- saturday and sundays 8:30-4:30.
prices- Paintball Command's paint is very expensive. It costs $70 for a case of paint. this is the reason i dont play speedball there. i'm giving them a 9 because they use high quality paint but it's still expensive. 9/10
refs- The refs are good and really enforce safety and rules but when there's a field as big as paintball command is, they cant be everywhere. Sometimes newbs ask the refs what game they're are playing next n the refs always say paintball. Some people think it's mean but I think it's absolutely hilarious. 10/10
Scenario games- capture the flag, anthrax( best one there), attack n defend, assault, bomb the hut, slaughterhouse, trashketball, and crossfield
Overall- Paintball Command is amazing

I've been going to this field since they opened and its always been a great field, with fun scenario games to speedball (which i rarely played).
1. SAFTEY: they nailed the safety requirements and rules, having to wear your googles on all parts of the field till you get to the ready station. Putting your barrel cover till the time you are in the ready station till the game starts. Enforcing the paint that they sell, checking each person to see if they are using the right type of paint. One time i saw a kid bring frozen paint to the field and one of the refs saw that he was using them, he got kicked out and banned from the field. If you have a kid and worry about him/her getting injured due to people not understanding or obeying the rules, you won't have to worry about them getting injured due to some idiot not obeying the rules because other players on the field will watch out for each other.
2. Friendly staff, they know what they are talking about if you need any questions or suggestions.
3.Field size and different objectives for scenario games.
4.Annual scenarios(ive gone to pretty much all of them and each time it was a blast).
5.The air prices and deals are great for those markers that are air hogs.
6. Always friendly people there and staff alike
7. Its a great field for beginners and people who are just there to rent for a day. Experienced players and staff will always help someone new to the sport.
8. Food and water is great and always available.
9.Cleaning yourself off is easy after the game because they offer towels and water bottles.
1.Chrono needs to be more enforced in my opinion because its on a trust system.
2.Rentals need to be updated
3.How many PBS you can have is really pointless rule to enforce. If someone gets hit just don't light them up.
3.Walking back to respawn is just another way for players to recon the other team.
4.Paint is on the pricey side.
5.It's a Thiefs heaven in the setting up area, during a game some thief can easily walk around and take someones gear or a bag of paint out of their bag while they are playing.
Ive been going to this field pretty much since i started playing paintball and i love the field. Ive seen it change for the good and bad, but nothing drastic. Great field to go play on if you are in the area. You'll get hooked the first time you play there.
I live about 80 miles away and went on a whim, glad I did. While the field was extremely wet from the torrential downpour the day prior, the staff made it fun. Great scenario games and decent prices. Refs were great and very helpful. Due to cold weather we used winter formula balls that had a hard time breaking on contact. Very strict on safety and the owner was very nice. They definately went the extra mile to make sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. The layout was great, definately will make the journey back.
Pearl river paintball, southern alabama paintball (non in the area though)
I always heard a lot of people play here so I thought I'd give it a try. There were a lot of people there when I played. Safety is a big concern and they are very strict on it. I do think the refs could be a little bit more professional though because there were a lot of younger kids there and I heard refs cursing alot. The fields were alot of fun though. I didnt play on the speedball feild but the woodsball feild was pretty nice. They also had a small woodsball feild that was fun to play on. But the worst thing bout this feild is their prices. $80 for a freakin case of paint is way to expinsive.

My home field Pearl River Paintball stopped accepting walk ons so we went to Paintball Command to try it out. When we got there there was about 40 other players there so we joined in on the scenario game they were playing. The prices are outrageous 80$ for premium and 70$ for standard paint. Also the prices for things in the pro shop are jacked up too. The fields, safety, and enviroment were great just the prices are high.
I havent played at any other fields, and i dont want to.
Directions to the Field:
Follo Hwy 51 down past all the business. when you come to a bend in the rode, its on ur left.
This place is great. Very knowledgable staff. Very strict on taking ur mask off in the non saftey area. huge woodsball field. (30 acres i think). A good small crossfield and a speed ball field. Ok pro shop. The owner come and personally gives you the saftey intructions. Good scenario games (like 11 of them.) great place to spend the day. Just got my new gun, i want to go test it out.
Safety- Very good and great refs.
Hours Of Operation- Personally I like it better when they stay open late because I don't get up until 12 on the weekends.
Prices- Even though this is a very large field they do not have to jack their prices up 30 dollars and charge $80 for a box (2000 rounds) of paint.
Staff- This is what really gets me on a field is peoples personality and here almost everyones was terrible. Right when me and my dad got set to go for the first match the owner walks up to us and introduces himself to me and my dad. After that he tells us that most people think he is a prick. As we asked him what games where going on he told us one and we answered can we play on the other field and start a new game. His answer was "You go where we go or you don't play today." Now where I come from that is considered very disrespectful. So to you you owner This whole thing is because you didn't show me any respect so Treat people how You want to be treated.........
Other than the the fields where very confusing because they were so large I ended up getting shot by my team 12 times that one day.....
I played in many fields in past 5 years or so and I have to say this is the best field I ever been to. It surpasses any other fields I been to so far as in any aspect.
Safety- this field was the most strict field I ever been to in terms of safety (good thing). There were refts between the staging area and game area making sure people had their safety gears on properly. The safety of this field is top notch.
Refs- wow, a field with refs that check people for hits. they did their jobs right and with good attitude. they werent one of those I know everything refs (which are most annoying). They helped me even though some of them couldn't answer my question by asking other refs themselves. they were definitely good quality refs that you can count on.
The field- The fields were nicely set with many different aspects. They had a speedball as well as woody areas. Not to forget the hybrid speedballwoodsball course. Their large(really big) woodsball field had many structures and bunkers that were well made and safe. also their chrono range was really nice set with plenty of space.
The facility overall- paintball command is very well built as in terms of facilty. They actually have running fauscet water!!!! (holy crap a running water and theres 2 of them). If you dont have any tools to fix ur gun, the guys in proshop will gladly lend their tools. there are plenty of tables and area to prepare your stuff as well. there arent many mudholes(yey lousiana) and parking space are plenty
Some other points are they have good prices on their stuff and have good equiptment (4500psi fills for once in my life). I recently bought a used pm6 from their shop and Im very satisfied with it in terms of price and service.
overall I advise the field to anyone i know who wants to have fun playing paintball
None, Paintball Command was the first place I started playing and the only one I have ever played at.
Directions to the Field:
I'm not exactly sure, i know it is on a dirt road passing the dump.
Safety- 9/10- Overall they were very safe. They constantly had Chrono checks and made sure that everyone had the field paint that was required.
Fields- 9/10- I like how they have the Cross-Field separate from everything else but still close to everything. They could have had a more variety of different fields during the games. But overall fields were good.
Times- 8/10- My team and I wished they were open during week days and weekends but its not gonna happen. But im k with the times 8:30 to 4:00 or something like that.
Prices- 10/10- They are fairly good with prices and I think for only being open 8 days out of a month, I think they have to make paint a little higher price than usual. They are fair about it!!!
Rules- 10/10- regular rules, same as usual, but they mix it up sometimes to some players advantages which isn't really fair for all of the noobs.
Services- 9/10- Sometimes the shop and Air station are crowded and people wait for a long time and sometimes miss the start of the next game because they have 3 guys back there and two of them are working on guns and the one that is there is filling co2 and it takes a really long time. But I can be understanding of that.
ProShop- 10/10- Very nice prices. They are always looking to help you get what you need and be happy with it. Sometimes you will get a deal if you get like a package with the gun, mask, exc.
Staff- 10/10- They are very nice. Mr.Charlie is awesome! Sometimes they will even come out there and play with you if its your first time and you really dont know what to do or even what paintball is.
Refs- 7/10- They are always being mean to the little kids who just want to have fun playing paintball, they will ask what game are we playing? And the refs would answer saying,''paintball!'' Everyones saying just shut up! They have fun in the end but still, they could be a little nicer.
Players- 10/10- Everyone I have played with has been overall fair, whether it has been at a tournament or at a regular day. Everyones been fair.
Facilities-10/10- Nice, There clean and air conditioned on a hot day in the summer.
Food-10/10- I mean its just food! But It's good.
OVERALL- 9/10- ITS A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY PAINTBALL.
LAXtreme - cheaper, but not as large or as fun.
Bayou Dragon - same.
Paintball Planet - indoor, only one field (speedball), really not even worth talking about.
Safety - 10/10. Everyone is very alert for barrel plugs and mask use; if someone violates a safety rule he/she is immediately corrected. Every new player is given a safety lecture before they are allowed on the field. There are usually 2 mandatory chronos each day, and more if there are any issues.
Fields - 9/10. The fields are well-maintained, varied, and fun. My only beef is that they tend to use the small fields even when there are 60+ players, which makes things harder for everyone. But that's a rare occurrence.
Hours of operation - same as pretty much everyone else.
Prices - 8/10. A bit more expensive than most fields in the area, although they do have good prices on occasion (premium paint for standard prices when they have surplus from tournaments).
Rules - 10/10. Similar to the safety section - the rules are heavily enforced, and reasonable. The surrender rule is 15 feet, I think.
Services - I haven't had to get any repairs, so I can't comment.
Pro shop - 9/10. It's a bit small, but their prices are very reasonable.
Staff & refs - 7/10. The pro shop and fill station staff are great, but the refs do leave a lot to be desired. The refs don't always pay attention to what happens during a game, and questions aren't always answered with the best attitude. In addition, there is one particularly whiny, overly talkative player that knows all the staff and has tried several times to get the games tilted in his advantage, and the refs tend to let him have his way instead of telling him to shut up and play fair.
Players - 9/10. Usually a good mix of pros and newbies. For the most part, they're out to have fun and don't cause any trouble. Other than the aforementioned crybaby, I have yet to see any real problems caused by a player.
OVERALL - 9/10. I've played at the field several times over the past 3 years, and I keep coming back because the fields are great, the crowds are large, and the games are fun. I docked them a point because of the aforementioned problems.
