I have play here a few times. it is a every laidback place. expect on team pratice days..
Reff are great, train and not under the age of 16 which is great. The owner is alwas there. He is big guy with bright red hair normal tech one of his cocker or shockers but he will try and help you with any thing. I need my tank work on and try to fix. one of the ref let me use there tank for the day.
The field set up was great. Had the x standing up for most of the dat intel the wind picked up. Bunker where clean after like 3 game by the owner kid and some of the reffs.
The grass was great expet by the standing box.
They price where great. the it was 35 a case for heat and 45 for nightmare and 15 for entery and air. so 50 for a good day of play... BEST FIELD in the wichita area. |

This place is off the hook awesome. The fields are extremely well built and challenging and the castle is the best I've ever seen. As for the owner, He is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He gave me so much advice about equipment I should buy and how I might get to be a better paintball player. He is also the ref most of the time I am out there, and he does a tremendous job at that too. Is there anything this man can't do? The prices were very, very good. If you have your own equipment, you can get a $15 field fee which includes free air and CO2 refills all day. The paint was pretty inexpensive also, about the same as anywhere else if not cheaper. I recently moved to Indiana and this is the only part of Kansas I miss, it's that good. The players are usually cool and pretty good too. If you are ever in the area, stop by and play!! I guarantee a good time. I give this place a perfect 10. Thanks for building this place man. |

The safety wasn't really went over, and they don't respect the walk or die rule at all, as I was bunker-ed and shot in the back at point blank range. There re-doing all there field's, they were still excellent. The hours for the winter ain't that great, and they didn't seam to get the games started. The prices were excellent.the owners were excellent. The refs were decent.no food. |

Tornado Alley paintball is a great place to go paintballing whether you are just a rec baller or a hardcore tourney baller. They have fields to accommodate both. They have the friendliest of staff there and they will do anything short of giving you the shirt off their backs to please you. Its paint and entry are also inexpensive compared to other fields of this high caliber. One of my favorite places to go and there are always enough players to keep the fun going and even the staff at Torado Alley paintball are tournament paintballers. A++ |

I played in the tourney they held on 20 Mar 04. It was a well organized event. However, the fact that you are only guaranteed 6 games sucks. I personally think you should play each team once, but I don't make the rules, I just follow them. One key weakness is the location, it's in BFE. It was hard to find, give yourself some extra time.
They require the use of field paint. JT Max. 2 & First Choice. I shot the JT, great paint, i hardly chopped any balls at all. They ran out of it early though.
One thing that bugged me was the layout of the field. It was very spaced out. They had no standups (had to lay em down due to the wind, not their fault), but the bunkers just seemed so far apart from each other. The field was uneven, if you were on the top of the field, making your first bunker was longer than if you were at the bottom.
The REF's did a fantastic job. They were fair and seemed to really know what they were doing. Hats Off.
All in all this field has alot of potential. |

I just played in the tournament they had on March 20, 2004. This place is a great field to play at. The only problem with it is it's location. Drive'n over back roads just to get there (though the roads are named still) is a pain. I almost hit two cows just trying to get to the field on those roads. It was hard to find if you are not from the area, so give yourself some extra time (about 30 min) to get out there to account for having to turn around and double back cause you passed your turn. The field was great, though there was a lot of wind and it caused the field layout to be changed (air ball bunkers) it still made for a fun day. The field paint is great. I don't know why people are complaining about them have'n to use the field paint. If you read my other reviews, you will see that I'm one that prefers Evil. The field paint choices we had was JT Maximum 2 or First Choice. I took the JT and it was almost as good as the Evil that I love shooting.
I give a rating that I feel they deserve as always. I recommend people to go out and play here whenever they can, and if they can find it. I know I will be back out there again.

Only been out to this field twice, but enjoyed both experiences.
Both times I was there were at times that were least likely to have crowds. Namely, the day after the first tournament of the year and the first day of sub-50 degree weather. So I cannot say what the normal turnout is here.
The first thing you notice here is how well everything is maintained. The owners take better care of their fields than I do my back yard. Nothing is laying on the ground to trip over, no loose nails and pins on the sides of bunkers, nothing is overgrown unless it's there for cover.
They do have several woods courses here, but keep in mind what I said above. For better or worse It is CLEAN. If you are somebody who likes to crawl through the tall grass and brush, you'll have a difficult time here. I saw only one course that you could do that on while I was there. There's plenty of little crevices and dips on the ground, railroad tie bunkers, large trees, cars, water tanks, and other obstacles to mask your movement. If you're looking for paramilitary type woods games though, the fields are not designed for you. For the other 90% of us, you'll find the lack thick tall grass and heavy tree limbs a refreshing change to a woods game.
The refs for the field are as good as you can ask for. They were on top of any potential safety problem. Quick on the paintchecks during the game and quick to give pointers and advise whenever asked. I watched one of the refs help one of the players with his equipment problems, and also gave him a couple pieces of spare equipment to try out.
Only potential downsides I can give to this field is maybe the walk-on turnout due to the location, but again I have not been there on a typical, 80 degree, no tournaments going on day either. But it is a good, well maintained, well reffed, well designed field. Definite recommend this field to anybody. |

i have only played at two fields during my paintball career and i must say the i have had better experiences at TAP than at the edge. the first itme i played at the edge there were a bunch of rich kids out there that thought they could get away with not paying attention to the rules that were set up by the refs. they would shoot people multiple times even after the person would put their gun up in surrender, or they would just come up behind you and intentionaly shoot you in the back of the head for no real reason.
but i have never had any experiences like that at TAP, the refs out there are pretty sharp when i comes to keeping track of everyone that's out ther on the field. and they don't put up with people that break the rules for no reason, because they want eveybody that goes out there to have a good experience while they are there so that they will want to come back, which is why i play out there whenever i get a chance to go out and play.
their fields out there are just as good as the fields that are set up at the edge and they are planning on making more, and the prices that they sell paint, co2, and every thing else are just as good if not better than elswere. and they guys out there will do everything they can to help you out, one guy offered to put a new spring in my spyder back up gun but i didn't have one to put in it.
all in all this is a great field for rookies and experienced players. good playing fields, good people, great prices, and prospect of more good things to come earn TAP a solid 9 rating in my book. |

All I can say is this is a well run field, The owners are great and will go out of there way to help you out and make sure you have a good time.
They have great paint prices and you can get all day air
If your looking to play tourneys this is the Place. If you didn't get a chance to go to the TAPS you missed out on the biggest indoor event the state of Kansas has ever seen and according to George It's going to happen again. Woot Woot I watched the last one but I will be playing next year!!! |
