Top Gun Paintball. The field is wonderful and so are the people.
Review: I was incredibly disappointed with Northern Lights Paintball. I'd heard many good things about the field and the people alike, so when I went, I was pumped. The fields looked good (and they were decent to play on).

First thing the guys there said to my group was "Just so you guys know, we close at two today, because we have a practice." That's odd, I could've sworn that over the phone they told me we could play "until the paint runs out". But, whatever.

The ball prices were decent, decreasing in order of quantity. They were also willing to loan me a pair of coveralls, no charge. I thought "hey, that's cool." It wasn't. All their coveralls were wet. I moved on past that, because I wasn't exactly wearing good clothes, so it wasn't a big deal, albeit a little annoying.

Most fields have refs of some kind, if only to start and finish games, and keep an eye on the people using their field. There was one guy sitting at a picnic table watching the four ten year olds, and no one watching us. When the ten year olds were done, the guy left to go mow and/or do other stuff. We spent over three hours there completely unsupervised. On the other hand, when we did go to ask if we could stay past two, since they could only use one field at a time to practice on, and no one was watching us anyway, they did say yes.

All in all, the impression I got from Northern Lights Paintball was that they really didn't give a crap whether we were there or not. My group spent over $300 on paintballs, not to mention the field rental fee, and they did not care at all. It was downright unprofessional, and I will not be going back there.

Review: POSITIVES---BEST SERVICE, FIELD, & PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. I've bought probably 5-6 guns off Splatter and each one was either good or they helped me out with every little problem. Same with hoppers I've bought two there and if I had a problem they didnt even hesitate in fixing it. There staff is friendly and helpful in any situation. There tournaments are well organized and each one I've had a great time playing in.

NEGATIVES---Splatter puts there own team in with all there rookie tournaments and last tournament they won so nobody got new guns. Pretty Cheap if you ask me. Also every person on the splatter team has Bob Longs, DM6's or 7's or Ego 7's.

Review: I came to this field for a tournament. (we got third) It is awsome! The staff was great, the refs did good, all in all it was very good. I am going back to it for the three remaining tournaments, and will come to them next year. It had a really good speedball field. I never got to play on the other fields

The only thing i would like to see, is maybe some 5 man tournys.

I give this field a 10

Review: once you find the field it is easy to find again. We were just in a Tournement and had 2 players ditch us but they found us someone to play with. The supair field was the only field that we played on and it was set up really good. They also lent us tanks since ours were leaking.

The only thing that i thought wasnt that good about the field was that the netting wasnt all that high. Since the netting wasnt all that high balls easily left the field. But playing there was fun. I just not that sure how much fun it was to watch.

Review: Staff is great, helpful and friendly. When I bought my first gun at their shop (Splatter Paintball) in Grande Prairie I had a defective barrel from factory. They gave me 3 different barrel's to try out on the field. Prices are second to nobody in Canada on equipment in the store and on the field. Gun problems, If they can't figure it out, they will get you in contact with someone who can and will fix it... PROPERLY! The town is a little to square to be called perfect, but still gets your blood pumping. The bush ranges are almost perfect with acres to play on if needed, or smaller treed areas if you prefer. The speed ball courts are set up very well with two to choose from. I drive 750 km to play on this field, mostly for the service, otherwise for the field.

Final Rule-the only field in dawson creek. The appliance cemetary is a pretty good field, but no HPA.
Top Gun in Beaverlodge-This is a really good field, nice people to deal with and they have air, plus the owners daughter is hot!
Review: I have only played at this field once, and it was for a tournament last spring. The sup air ball field was well set up and the netting is excellent. The reffing was really good, and the people were fairly nice. It's hard to find if you dont know where your going, good thing I was with you Mark. My minimag broke down and no body there knew how to fix it, that was ok since I was using Mark's tricked piranha. I would go back there and play, but I would probably choose beaverlodge first.

Final Rule in Dawson - Excellent bush courses, 1 tire field, mostly newer players, very strict on safety(which is good), no HPA

Top Gun in Beaverlodge - Great people, a lot of effort put into the proshop, on-site 4.5k compressor, expensive.

Wild Boyz - I've been there once in the winter and only one speedball field was plowed off. Good paint, not too expensive, seemed to be a good place.

Review: First off, wow, I didn't know so many people from Grande Prarie visited this site. I've met a few of you in person. Cool.

Anyways, Northern Lights is a pretty good field. Only airball field in the region(am I right?), nice town field, quality netting, decent prices, knowledeble staff.

It's not as strict on safety as Final Rule or Wild Boyz and it's 25km away from Grande Prarie.

Definately one of the better fields in the area.

Top Gun - Not a bad field, but my wallet is a little tight and these prices dont help
Wild Boyz - Pretty decent, I found that the service could have been improved.
Review: Northern Lights is a GREAT field! The people that work there are all very friendly, the refs are all pretty fair. The only thing you have to watch out for is when 1 of the employees (you know who u are, u posted here) gets hold of the water sprayers, he doesn't always restrict the flow of the water to the guns/masks. But anyway, the tourneys are really well organized and the fields are nicely set up. The only negatives are the drive, and the mosquitoes. If you live close to this field I definitely recommend trying it out.

top gun - a good feild with a great bush corse but very exspensive
Wild boyz - A decent feild with average prices and service
Both feilds are unique and have some good things but in the long run do not compare to Northren lights .
Review: there are several Fields at northern lights including a town Fields a plastic bunker field and a airball field. Also there are 3 awesome bush feilds that vary in size. The only negative thing would be the distance from grande prairie . The drive takes about 25 minutes. All the fields except the bush are completely netted off. This provides a spectator friendly enviorment and adds to the clean professional look of northern lights paintball. There are several events that occur on a regular bases including a 3 man tourney each month and rookie tourneys. Also there are events like night games and scenario games as well . I was in a tourney last month in which my team placed 3rd and it was a very well managed event. the prices were exceptional and so was the reffing.
I really like this field and think that it is by far the best in the area. I give it a nine because 10 would mean less of a drive and less mosquitoes .
