Review: This field is a pretty good field

I'll go through the recommended points

SAFETY: They have a safe facility w/ good netting and only one entrance to the fields. They also have a safe chrono range as well as many signs posted up to encourage safety, as well as a good staff to enforce rules.

FIELDS: They dont have many fields but the ones they do have are fun. They have speedball fields consiting of plastic containers and other stuff as well as a senerio field w/ a castle which is fun as well. Every other week they have a very good airball field up which I think is very good. You have to check thier website to find out which week it will be up.

HOURS OF OPERATION: The field is open Friday nights from some time when the sun goes down till like ten thirtyish. I dont know because i havent been on fridays in a long time. The field is also open on sundays from 10 to 3 , unless there is bad weather or some holiday. Splatzone also has a store about 5 minutes from the field open during the week.

PRICES: The prices at the field are OKAY the field fee and air are pretty decent, but I think that their paint is a little high at $15 a bag of 500. This Field prohibits bring your own paint so it gets pretty steep after a while.

RULES: The rules are pretty much like any field, no bonus balling and no cheating. The two rules that SZ also has is NO BUNKERING(for the kids) and ONLY SZ paint(for profit).

SERVICES: The services they provide are air fills, CO2 fills and small repairs.

PROSHOP: The proshop out of the trailer is decent. Not much stuff in it, mostly repair stuff such as new o rings or air pieces, they also have masks, barrels, gloves, and a few guns.

STAFF/REFS: They have a good staff which are players as well. They are fair and are nice.

PLAYERS: most of the players are guys and alot of them kids. For the most part, none cheat. they all are very competitive which makes for some good paintball.

FACILITIES: They have somebenches and tables to set up and have a pot-o-john as a restroom.

FOOD: There is a vendor which is not usually open like a short walk up the hill at the putt-a-rosa. There is also a BBQ down B Rt. 1 and many fast food restaurants within a short drive. The putt-a-rosa also sells gatorades and sodas.

Overall this is a well rounded field which is fun to play at and has good staff and facitlites, but it is a little expensive on the paint side.

Review: safety - they are pretty good on safety. Masks must be worn on the field, barrel condoms are required, and they chronoboth on and off the field.

fields - They have 2 fields, one "L" shaped recreational field with a very nice castle. The speedball field is good for 3 on 3 or 5 on 5.

hours of operation - They are only open on saturday and sunday. There is talk of a Friday night setup after the summer starts.

prices - Their prices are preety reasonable. All day air is 7 dollars I think and field paint is only 60 a case. It's really good paint, and you can purchase it for 15 dollars for a bag of 500.

rules - It is field paint only, and you must chrono at 280fps instead of 300fps.

services - they have fill stations, and do minor repairs. There is a micro store set up for small replacement parts, nothing major. there's always someone there selling a marker for a decent price, and they have rentals as well.

staff / refs - The staff in general is pretty nice. They can be very helpful. The Refs are players as well, and have a good sense of the game. They like to play, and you can definately tell when they would rather play then ref, because their ability as a ref seems to dwindle.

players - There are always plenty of walk-ons that show up looking to play. there is never a shortage of people to shoot that for sure!

food - Theres a slammin BBQ pit right up the road. Dominoes Delivers, and theres fast food all within 5-10 minutes. Thers some nice resturants all about the same distance away, with an average travel time of 5-10 minutes away.

Directions

In milford, DE take US113 south, take alternat route 1 south, cross Missipillon river draw bridge it will be about a mile till it is on your left.
Review: They have an OK speedball field that uses old plastic water storage cubes and black irrigation pipe.
They have a nice L shaped scenario field that is good for a defend the forte type of play. it is rather challenging for a two or three way city style street fight.
The refs are laid back and rather fair. The field does not allow bunkering unless it is two experience teams. Don't expect it with regular walk-ons.
There are talks of expanding the field and offering more scenario and speedball; however, that has not happened yet. If they did then they would start to give Delmarva Paintball a run for their money.
The big plus is that the field charge is $2 and air is $1 per 1000psi or I believe it is $3 for a 20oz CO2. However, all day air is $7 for HPA - I don't think it applies to CO2.
There is a Barbequ shack resturant just north of the Missipillon river draw bridge that is new and it may be a good place to get take out. Otherwise it is about 10 minutes to US113 where there are several resturants to get take out from.

Review: I have only been at the Sunday field. The field is great and there are usually alot of players. The field Speedball and some woods. The paint is Draxxus and it is cheap its like $60 for a case or so. They have every thing you need incase your gun breaks or needs parts. To rent a gun it is like 15 bucks which is really cheap. This is good field to have fun and get more experience.

We played at DNR's field in Harrington,DE a few times a couple years ago when they were still in business. We had a great time at both DNR and at SplatZone. Splatzone has two field set ups at the one field, which gives you the option of woods ball or speed ball. Splatzone also now has a second location with a huge speed ball field that is open during the week nights.
Review: SplatZone offers something for everyone. The new field is located on the same property as the Putt-A-Rosa in Milford. The field is open on Friday nights. Between SplatZone and the Putt-A-Rosa a great time can be had by the entire family. SplatZone offers rental equipment, high quality paintball supplies, tech support and so much more right on the premises. The Putt-A-Rosa has batting cages, miniature golf and horse shoe pits. Opening night for SplatZone at this location was August 20th and there was a large turn out, followed by an even larger turn out at the old field on Sunday August 22nd.
Both locations offer concessions and restrooms. Its a great place for the whole family.
Friendly people, safe playing conditions, variety of activities, fair prices,on site product availability and service...what more could you ask for?

Review: I've played on this field mucho times. It's a great place to go, the speed-ball field is like a giant Lego play field and the woods bunkers are great. The staff are really helpful, often fixing guns for the kids and helping you through any problem. How can you get pissed waiting in line for ten minutes for air because the guy is replacing O-rings in some 13 yr. old newbie's marker so he doesn't have to sit out the next game. The games never get boring because usually some kid comes up with a new twist on an old game. It's like playing war at your best bud's house when you are ten. Even the old guys get caught up in the excitement of it. There are only two things that never change at this field, the staffs commitment to safety and their great service. Everybody gets along at this field, there are no trouble makers and if a "team" of them showed up to blast newbies, they would find a team of 50 strong to go against them in retaliation. I only give it a nine because I haven't been in a year after a knee injury (at work, not related to this sport or field) so I'm sure I can save a point until I see the mods they have made since my last visit.

Review: I HAVENT BEEN PLAYING AT SPLAT ZONE VERY LONG, BUT I LOVE IT. I GO EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY. THE BEST THING ABOUT IT ON SUNDAYS ITS FREE TO GET IN!!, THE PAINT IS LIKE $50 BUCKS FOR A CASE OF PAINTBALLS!!, AND AIR IS LIKE 5-7 DOLLARS. PRETTY GOOD IF U ASK ME. THEY HAVE A SPEEDBALL FIELD AND WOODS ON BOTH SIDES. THE SPEEDBALL FIELD IS GOOD NICE ROOMY BUNKERS, AND EVEN BUKERS ON BOTH SIDES. THEY HAVE NICE CLEAN WOODS BUT COULD USE A TOUCH UP ON THE TREES LIMBS. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WOODS THEY HAVE A HUGE FORT WHICH IS A GAME TO PLAY. THEY HAVE FOOD AVAILABLE AND RESTROOMS. THE CRONO IS NICE AND SAFE WITH WALL ON BOTH SIDE AND POINTED AT A VERY SAFE DIRECTION. ALOT OF PEOPLE GO HERE AND EVERYONE LIKES EVERY ONE ALOT WE ALL TALK AND GET ALONG!! NOT REALLY ANY TEAMS COME HERE SO U DONT HAVE TO GET YOUR BUT KICKED AND SHOT UP. EVERY ONE HAS A GREAT TIME AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHETHER YOUR 6 OR 60 ITS JUST A GOOD TIME.
