Other fields are velocity in west liberty, team products in tiffin, and the vinton field which the name escapes me.
I went to this field with 4 of my buddies on April 9th which was a Saturday.
First off, the staging area and store: The staging area was great. It was inside a building with tons of picnic tables and areas to set up. The pro-shop he had was decent and the service for filling your tanks and buying balls was great. i could top off my air tank after every game in a matter of minutes. The building to set you stuff up in was great because it kept you out of the sun and wind - very nice set-up.
Now the fields: The hyper ball field was well set and very fun. The trench warfare field was also very fun, a lot of full sized trenches and bunkers. The fort they had set up was also fun, however very lopsided when one team was in the fort. But still very fun The maze field was very fun as well, but very intense since the bunkers were so big it was tough not to get shot point blank. But overall the field were greatly set up, very well maintained and free of debris.
Now the competition: This field is very recreationally geared. The competition howvere was a very wide range which was great. It had everything from first time players all the way to a few tournament players. The markers used were very assorted as well. A few rentals and a lot of gun owners as well. I was very pleased with the way the teams were split up as well. Our 5 guys were always allowed to play on the same team, which really helped us get used to playing with each other. Very fair refs as well.
Now my only suggestion: Lower the paint prices slightly. I spent 75 on one case of paint and admission. To me, that is a little steep. Many other fields in the area are now allowing you to bring your own paint or at least get a little better deal on the paint. Everyone is smart enough to know that usually field owners have a deal with the paint companies to buy the paint in bulk and for a MUCH MUCH cheaper price. I don't mind paying 50 dollars for a case because I know fields have to make money, however 65 bucks is a little expensive for pmi paint. Nowadays you can buy a case of marbilizer for 60 bucks. At any rate, I feel I would be likely to spend more time at a field that I could bring my own paint to and everyone know the best type of business is REPEAT BUSINESS. I would even pay 25 bucks for entry if I could bring my own paint.
Overall, this field was fun and I will definitely return and play it again, and of course cringe as I pay 75 bucks for one case and admission. I'l give it an 8 out of 10 strictly for the price of paint. Everything else was a 10.
Various fields around eastern Iowa. I mostly play woodsball on private land.
I first came with the Army recruits about two and a half years ago. since then I have come back quite a few times. This place is great! The fort area is huge. You can play 25 on 25 if you have that many people. The speedball and hyperball areas are awesome. They have a large wooded area. They just got a new battle field complete with large bunkers and broken brick walls. There is a grassy field with about 5 foot long weeds. The best however is the junkyard. They have at least 10 cars, many spools, and miscellaneous junk. This park is great. The staff are really nice. The price is a around $38 day with 500 rounds. This is more than Iowa Paintball Park (~$25) and less than Sports Zone (~$50). It is an average price for an awesome field. Check this out, you will love it!
I have played at , Hershey's Paintball(closed) Power Station, (homefield)Sure Shooting Paintball Park, Adventure Park Paintball, ACP Warfield, Velocity Paintball, ICU Paintball Worgamz Inc. Indoor, Best Shot Paintball fields, TEAM PRODUCTS PAINTBALL FIELD, Iowa Paintball Park, SPORT ZONE
This is without a doubt, this is the best recreation field that I have ever played on, and I have played on a few. I just listed the Iowa fields. This paintball park has more to offer than anything else in the state. but only for recreation players to this point. He is trying to enter into the tournament side of paintball and has allot of great Ideas. At this point though the strong point is defiantly recreation he has had groups of over 50 people at once, and he is so organized that it still runs smooth. There is a huge 2 1/2 story fort, A very nice Hyper ball field, A junkyard field, A new top gun field that is crazy, A large speed-ball field. A Battle field with trenches, tunnels, bunkers, bridges, buildings, etc and it is always changing. He is working on a couple of new fields one of which will be a full sized city field. There is a woods field for the old school guys. There is a complete proshop and a covered staging area. If you are new to paintball make the trip no matter how far at least once to see this field. It will help you put into perspective what the average paintball field has to offer. Its not a cheap field but you can see he puts money and effort into the field. I give it a 9 out of 10, when his field caters to tournament players more then it would be a 10 out of 10.

Although I am quite new to the sport, I have been able to improve my skills over the last few months at this field. Although I have not been to other fields besides playing around in the woods behind my house with my friends, I cannot imagine a better place to play.
Adventure Park Paintball has many different fields and are expanding more and more as time goes by. They have many games and scenarios that make each day you play on their fields unique.
The staff and pro shop is top flight, and they are always willing to help you with any issues paintball related. I have had a truly great experience playing at this field and cannot imagine anything better.
This field is situated between Vinton and Shellsburg. Its website is www.thinkpaintball.com. It has been a wonderful field to play on as there are several skill levels presents and the regulars don't whup on the newbies. There is a good pro-shop with knowledgeable staff that work on nearly anything.
There are several fields to choose from with new ones coming every year. The fields are well laid out and are changed when necessary. The owners have numerous games to be played on the fields and make up new ones constantly.
I have had an excellent time learning the sport here and am ready to start playing in tournaments thanks to the coaching of the regulars and owners of field. This field is an excellent field to start playing on and a good resource if you are looking to improve your skills.
The best (and only) field I have played on so far, it is worth a look for anyone.
