Review: Picasso lake is one of the best fields ive played at. It is great for new players the refs will make the teams fair when playing with pros who think they will stick together like ***holes no they will split them up soo u dont get recked by the best players. ive played there for two years and everytime the refs were great making shore di*kheads dont go full auto. There also strict about safety never take your mask even if ur in the safe zone but if u avoid that u will have a good time. paint is 55 $ per case and 25$ if u have all your gear. The fields are the best ive ever played on my favorite field is ridge big and open but lots of places to snipe enemies so if ur a woodsball kind of player i highly recommend picasso lake paintball

Review: Picasso was me and my sons' first time playing paintball. Our group was a private 6 v 6 on a very nice day. The ref assigned to us was fantastic and very friendly.

Admin - Parking was okay but looks like it could get really bad when crowded. Short walk to staging was nice. Getting checked in was very quick even though it was one at a time. Prices are a steal from what I hear. $25 for all day air was nice since We shot alot of air. Small snack bar but the staf will order pizza for you if you ask. Nice! Paint was priced okay at $55 for 2000.

Safety - They "let us" chrono but did not say it was mandatory. Protective gear was enforced and a couple of our guys got warnings for violations. Ref did a great job stopping bonus balls and getting marked players off the fields.

Ref - We had one ref assigned to us and he did a great job in covering the field for paint checks and such. Really helpful to us noobs, giving us little bits of advice during the matches. Friendy and did a great job. Forgot his name... so sorry.

Fields - I thought that the fields were fantastic even though I had nothing to compare them too. Alot of nice cover and barricades. The Maze was a great field as is The Ridge. Not too fond of The Beach but my remote did not mate with my tank and I got lit up. Beach was huge. The Triangle was small but it still had great cover.

Overall - A top notch place. We had a great time and the staff at PL seemed to really work on ensuring a fun time. We got 10 matches in the 5 hours we were there and that seemed appropriate. Highly recommend Picasso Lake even though they would not let us smoke the water skiers!!!

Review: Let me start with the owner: Bill is a really nice, classy guy. I had an issue where I locked my keys in the trunk of my car last time we played, and Bill was right there the whole time, getting me the number for AAA, asking if I needed anything, even asking one of the police officers who were playing there if they could help out. I figured my day of play was ruined, so I told my group to go out without me, and Bill told me to go out with them, the refs would put us on fields close to the parking lot, and he would radio one of the refs to send my back when the AAA guy came.

Besides that, the fields are really clean and nice (no poison ivy, which is impressive) , the refs are all quite responsible and call hits very fairly, and the overall atmosphere is one of fun.

Safety, which is a big concern of mine, is taken very seriously. Every time I've been there, they break out the chrono. Also, they very strictly enforce mask rules, which is refreshing to see. The parking lot is far enough away from the field that you will not get shot by a wayward paintball (unlike at, say, fireball mountain up in north jersey...) Bonus balling is NOT tolerated.

It's really cheap, too! Only 25$ for a day of play if you bring your own equipment, you can bring your own paint, and you get 5$ back at the end of the day (the 5$ is a deposit for your armband). Field paint isn't at all bad, it's 60$ for a case and it shoots pretty well.

Occasionally you'll have someone who starts ramping, or who uses full auto or auto response or some such nonsense. The refs really put a stop to that quickly, which is great because it prevents bonus balling. Also, if someone continues to ramp or fire full auto after being warned, a few the refs kind of help you kill them, especially if you have a pump and you run in like a lunatic every game and kill half the other team...

Overall, I would say this is a great field, and wold highly recommend it to both serious and beginner paintball players. It was the first field I ever played on, and 6 years later, I still love it.

Review: Ok i have played here about 4 times in the last few months i have to say the people at the fields are nicest people ever if u have your own gear it runs you $25 i think thats a gear price and you can bring your own paint if you have you own gear

ok time for some bad things about 12-1 pm they get around 40 people out there on a good day and this is great for them bad for players cause they put them all on one field and you cant move around and its not like they dont have enough refs to open up other fields they also dont pla any CTF or games like it they play last man standing only not the type of game i like but others do

I may play this field agin but not sure it just dosnt have the type of games i like playing and there is other fields around that do

Review: Had a great experience this past Sunday. It's been several years since I had played at Picasso, but it was good to go back again. The fields are clean, varied, large and balanced. The reffs were top notch, safety was excellent, the prices were really good. The food concession was clean, with lots to choose from. I ended up playing 12 games, shot 3 cases of paint, and loved every minute of it. If you are a woodsballer this is your home in South Jersey.

Review: We had 14 people in our group (9 kids and five adults) for my sons 13th birthday party. EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME!!

We don't play often so I can't really compare this field with others. But, after playing here, we will be going back. They have six fields and each offers a unique challange. (we liked the trenchs best) For our party we played on 4 of the fields and had them to ourselves...... BIG plus.

The day started off a little rocky. They were crowded and somewhat disorginized in getting us to the fields. However, once we got going, the games rolled and there was no down time. We got in plenty of games and everyone was more than satisified with the amount of play.

The staff was really good. Bill (the owner) is just a really nice guy, he was great. Our ref did his job well, explaining the rules, making sure everyone played a safe game and showing great patience with the kids without being overbearing. Just about every member of the staff stopped by to high five and say happy birthday to my son

Bottom line- The fields were really good, the staff was great and we all had a good day. Oh, did I mention, the prices were very reasonable. .........

Review: [Pros]
- Reps may be young but they do their best to make things fun.
- Staffs willingly work with players to sort out some issues.
- All woodsball with various terrain. Different enough yet not overly complicated.
- BYOP
- Resonable price (Unlike Skirmish USA, PA) $ 25 entrance fee / $35 entrance fee w/gear rental (mask, marker, and tank) / $ 55 for a box of Stingers (2000 count)

[Cons]
- Voluntary chrono (some players were definitely shooting hot)
- No team balance check between the games. In mid-game, we were completely out numbered (players dropping out and some changing teams) with four kids on our side. Not fun if your team is on a losing streak for 8+ rounds.
- No snack stand. I saw someone selling girl-scount cookies but I don't think he was the owner. I wonder whether or not I can bring my drink/food next time.

* Staff/Reps were doing their job and i could see them actually trying very hard. It has nothing to do with Picasso Lake, but some players were just flat out a*holes. (What can you do...) I saw one of the kids on my team got lit up by opposition. As he was walking toward to a deadbox (with barrel plugged and gun pointed in the air), some asses were still firing at him. Come on!

[Conclusion]
Highly recommended. I will definitely go there again with my buddies from work.

** Updates (3/8/2008) **
I went back to the place 3/8/2008 with 7 other co-workers.
Despite the horrendous weather (down pouring rain), not only they were open but also did their best to accommodate everyone's needs. I didn't catch the ref's name but man...he was really professional. (Imagine running around in muddy fields while raining and trying to make fair calls)

Review: This was my second time at this field. Not much has changed within the past three years.

Pros:

>All woodsball
>5 varied fields we played at, all are medium sized and offer a variation of terrain, I like them all.
>Great refs, the kids try to make everyone have fun.
>Relaxed atmosphere, barrel (plugs, masks, etc) ... sometimes a little too much (see below)
>Clean port-a-potty (but only one)
>Snack stand, candy bars, hot dogs ($2), sodas and energy drinks.
>Owner tries hard for smooth operation.
>BYOP - good for me since I can bring along the good stuff for my flatline, yet bad if idiots want to bring old and or frozen paint ... you never know.

Cons:

>No mandatory chrono - should sticker all chronoed markers.
>No CO2 - should have posted this on their websites, only HPA. You can rent HEAVY tanks for $5 ...
>Only played 2 rounds on each field and then walked back to staging area to refill, should play 3 rounds ... it just seemed that we were doing more walking and waiting than playing. This was part fault of the 2 rounds per field and my group of wasting time at the staging area being lazy. Besides, if each team winds one round then there is no tie breaker.
>Played too much elimination, refs seemed to like this for some reason, probably time constraint.
> Only one port-a-potty, is someone takes a dump, then there is a line. Two for this sized field should be standard. Good note was that it was clean, even for the ladies. ;-)
>Noticed more than usual amount of idiots walking around without barrel plugs, firing by mistake (finger on trigger) and shooting near dead-boxs. Refs do tell them, idiots are just not very educated in gun safety and have few brain cells left, not ref's fault.
> Bad planning, they demolished an old trailer. They did it on a Saturday when they have the most amount of people there playing?!? Come on owner Bill, that needs to be done on a weekday.
>BYOP - good for me since I can bring along the good stuff for my flatline, yet bad if idiots want to bring old and or frozen paint ... you never know.

Overall I like this field and will play there again with the right crowd. Picasso Lake Paintball could easily be a top field for woodsballers if they organized it a little better. It has a steady business, yet could really be big with a few basic changes and upgrades - high potential!

Review: Affordable, if you bring your own gear you can use your own paint. Unlimited air, although they are a bit strict on Co2 refills.

Four fields that I'm aware of, the "Beach" is my personal fav. This past weekend was the first time I saw a snack type stand set up. Nice touch.

Bill is the man.

Last time I went the parking lot was completely full, people were parking out on the road and walking in. Must have been 50+ walk-ons which is a lot for this place.

Goin' back this weekend, with a bunch of guys from work.

Only down side is sometimes they have problems handling larger crowds and the walk on games don't start until 10:30-11:00. But I can live with that drawback.
