This is to dry Mike's teary eyes.
Excellent facility. Mike Gilbert, the owner, is baller and he stays on his refs to keep games going. He reminded them to check with groups of people standing around to get them on the fields and playing.
A BIG, HUGE salute to the refs. Great bunch of guys. I wish I could've stayed to play an after-hours game with them.
The air ball and hyperball fields are great fun. The attack and defend was a good time too. I'm not sure of the mound and spool field. It was a bit rough on my body and mucky during my visit. That's to be expected in early Spring.
Prices are good.
It was a four-hour trip for me but worth it. I'll get back there soon. |

War In The Woods-fields are mud holes, and refs never do paintchecks when asked, fields just aren't as good |

TPA Paintball is just an awesome field. There are airball, hyperpipe, spools, and even an attack and defend scenario field. The refs are awesome and sprint over for paint checks whenever anyone ever calls for one. Prices are good too. $10 field fee with $10 all day air pass. Even though you have to use field paint, they sell anything from BigBall($40 per case) to Marbilizer($60 per case). I've found that BigBall shoot great though my Matrix, so $40 is cheaper than I can get paint from any store for. Just an awesome field and I suggest everyone goes and tries it out. |

Intense....not nearly as good
Splat...pretty nice fields, long walk from shop to field...all in all, not as good
Paintball Madness....which is now TPA....it never came close to what TPA has turned it into
War in the Woods...had alot of fields, but at least half were mediocre...would not let you play speed ball if there were teams practicing |

Where to start?
I can hardly believe what they have turned this place into....used to be Paintball Madness...which wasn't a horrible place, but had ALOT of rough edges about it. Fields were so-so....one was pretty decent. But I guess TPA showed me it was a diamond in the rough.
First thing I noticed was they did a great job netting off fields. Fields are put together very well. Plenty of bunkers(not too many though), arranged nicely. Nice number of fields to play on, and a couple smaller fields for some 1on 1, 2on 2.
Check in was a breeze. never had a problem getting an air fill...very prompt. It was very nice that they could fill to 4500. Paint prices...best around. Which I figured they would be, as their shop(not at the field) has the best prices around. If you want to know more about their shop, look on their website, have no idea what the address is.
As with paint, their entry and air is priced great...with optional all day air.
Great refs...nuff said.
Games are always going as long as someone wants to play.
Don't know what else to comment on, you can tell these guys want to be a huge success, as everything is top notch...everything. Best field I have seen.
Also, everyone there was very courteous.
All I can say is this is gonna be the field to play at. Everyone knows a day of paintball can be ruined by playing at a so-so field and regret of wasted money. And like I said, this is a top-notch field and don't forsee that being a problem here...if you have a bad day, it won't be their fault. I guess I am excited, seeing alot of fields in the area not quite up to par, but having to settle for playing there, cause that is all there was. Then these guys open up a GREAT field with GREAT prices....what else could one want?
If you couldn't guess...I have nothing bad to say. |

Great Field!!
I loved this field because the refs are great, fields are great, and the players are nice. Another thing that i liked about this field was that whenever some people wanted to play the hypertubes or somthing and u didnt wan't to u could sugest another field and they will split the groups up. I love there speedball fields and hypertubes and the attack and defend is kind of a waste of paint but some people like Scenario paintball. the snakes on the speedball fields are awesome and Mike the owner is really nice, they always make sure that a game is going. I would if i could give this field a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000/10 but i guess a 10 out of 10 will do. I found absolutly no weaknesses about this field. It is the best field i have ever played at. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!| Last edited on Saturday, October 9th, 2004 at 10:58 am PST |

The prices: they had promotional pricing this weekend for the opening. $50 bought me an entire case of paint (today you were allowed to bring your own paint if you wanted), all day air, and entry. Great prices for any place. Affordable for anyone. Even their really good paint was cheap.
The service: Experienced pro-shop. They were quick on getting you signed, getting your paint, and quick on fills. Great service, nice people that really know what they are doing. Solved any and all problems I saw that day.
The refs: the BEST refs I've EVER been on the field with. Good on paint checks, fast on taking out players, and good on controlling the games. They were active too, they didn't just sit on the sidelines the whole time and talk, they were in on the game. I was really impressed with them. Great refs.
The refs also did a really good job getting the games together, they keep the players organized and always had a game going. They were fast and professional, they were everything and more you would want out of refs. I was really impressed with them.
The fields: Wow, awesome fields here. I played mostly in the 2 new air ball fields and the 2 hyper tube fields, I also played a quick game at the attack and defend hill.
The air fields were great. The setup was nice and fun to play in. Nicely sized too with a good amount of bunkers for it's size. The best air fields I've ever played in. The 2 hyper tube fields were great too. Nice setup and great for play. I don't particularly like hyper tube, but I loved these. Great speedball fields. Just awesome.
There was also another older air ball field that I didn't play in, and a spools field that I didn't play in. Both looked like a lot of fun though. Maybe I'll play in them next time. But both looked setup really well.
The attack and defend field was gigantic. A lot of time was obviously spent on it. Great fort. Lots of bunkers too. Really fun to play in. I was especially impressed with the number of good bunkers that were there, they did a really good job setting up this one.
The players: there was a great mix of players there. There were guys with electros and high end guns, guys with Tippmannss and sypders, and I even saw a few guys with pumps. A nice turnout in players, you'll never be the only person that shows up at this field. The players there were nice too, not any of those hot-headed tourny players that destroy everyone. Everyone was laid back and polite, and cool with everything. That made up for a real nice atmosphere on the field.
Staging area: real nice, clean staging area. It was clean, and big enough with enough tables to accommodate all players there and many more. The trailer also had a little roof overhang lean-to type thing, so if it rains your stuff doesn't get ruined.
Overall, I think it's safe to say this is the best field I've ever been too, and the best field you can find in the Stark county area. I will definitely be coming back soon. Good job guys!!!!
If there was an 11/10 rating, that's what I would rate this field.

This field is great!
There is 2 ultimate airball fields, 1 sup-airball field (left over from madness, not in good condition)
2 hyper tube fields, a mounds field with spools, and an attack and defend field. The attack and defend has many goodies on it
the spools field is pretty fun, and is prob. the largest of all the fields
the 2 air fields are great, can be re-aranged however...
and, the hyper tube fields are great too!!!
there is god netting all around the place, good staging area, with plenty of tables
the prices are great!!!
you cant play for less than 60 bucks much anymore... accept for here!!!
the staff is very friendly...
the fields were pretty dry considering the amount of rain we have had (accept for the edge of the mounds field...which is funny watching un-expecting players fall in the puddle...)
this field has had a LOT of improvements since Madness was around, for sure!!! |

THIS FIELD ABSOLUTELY ROCKS.
i loved this field.
They have fields for speedbal(i do believe that there is a x-ball field in the works also.)l, they have hypertube fields, they have a mounds field, and a sweet attack and defend hill with a hidden surprise. the field also allows team practices on sundays. 9-12 i beleive.
Pros
Great refs got in on all paint checks always have enough refs to where they can be running everyfield all at the same time.
The owner Mike he's a great guy knows a lot about the sport and has great prices in store.
Fields great fields very clean. great layout.
Good staging area tables set up for your gear.
Target range to test out that happy trigger finger of yours.
and now the CONS
there are none i found abosolutely nothing bad about this field.
i reccomend that you check this field out if you live in the state of Ohio or even if you dont live in the state of ohio you will love this field.| Last edited on Wednesday, May 5th, 2004 at 1:19 pm PST |
