Battle Zone had a real nice speed-ball course and a phenomenal woods field. Great for Capture the Flag and Attack / Defend games. (Also had a very cool village but we didn't play in it). We played a bunch in the wooded field which was outstanding!!
The prices were very reasonable and the judges were great working with the younger kids and giving them tips. It was a very friendly atmosphere and we met some fun people. (Ronnie and Wes).
I was VERY IMPRESSED with the facility, Judges (Tyler and Ross) and the new owners (Herb and Candy). These are all super friendly, very helpful, accommodating people. We really had a great time and would encourage anybody to try out Battle Zone.
We traveled a long way to play and as Arnold Schwarzenegger says... "I'll Be Back!". :-)
This field is very good. the reffs are fun. Theve got 3 different fields. The staff is very freindly they just took over and are cleaning up after the last owner looks much better and they have low Prices. I played all day i drove an hour and a half to go to this place and its worth it. Theve got 3 man speed ball field and a woods ball and an urban filed.
they fill nitro and co2.
These people are so nice! They just got new owners, so I was really the only one there, but it was still awesome. Some of the field owners played with me (total of 3) and even though I wasnt that good, there were no negative comments. first speedball (awesome), then their fort-to-fort course (friggin sweet) and then the urban (not so good). which is understandable, being a 2 on 1. Over-all, i give it a 9.
I've played at splatterpark and mohican, they're really good but they don't have a village course they have better speedball courses but they don't have better woods ball courses.
It's a great field every time i've been there i've been treated nice the store is pretty decent they have Tippmans for renting guns and have good paint they don't freeze the paint so that's pretty good it's not to expensive it's about 17$ so go out there and shoot em up!!

no Fields around here compare. altho the speedball field at 68 caliber is better bz has a better atmosphere and woods ball field.
this field os awsome.Th people are so friendly and every1 there is willing to help each other.I dnt really like the village but i loved speedball the gravel made it a little harder to slide but thats ok it was still awsome. I would recomend this field to ne 1 beginner or expert you'll have fun playing at BZ.
I was putting together a family outing to their park. My older brother from Michigan came down, my nephew, in from Seattle, Washington for a couple of weeks, was ready to play, along with his friend, my brother in-law, and myself. We all piled into one vehicle and headed to the park from Shelby and arrived around 3:30. Only to find the park CLOSED! I was totally shocked and disappointed. So we used our cell phone to call the number on the sign. They informed us, that if nobody is on the course or if no one has placed a call in by 2:30 that they close up and go home. They stated that this policy is on their website. We asked kindly if they would come back. They thought it over and decided not to come back. With a "God Bless You" message from the gentlemen, he was done talking with us. Later, I learned that my mother had called and talked with somebody at the park that morning. She asked them how much it cost to rent equipment and asked about their hours. They indicated the prices and stated that they where open to 5:00. Oops! they neglected to state their time policy. I guess this park is not in the busines of making money. We where ready to spend over $100 that day. Oh well, I took the younger boys to my friends old farm house and we had a great time. Nothing beats going through old barns to sneaking up on them for a kill.
Let me just start out by saying that this is a great place, despite what other reviews may say. Last weekend I went paintballing here and it was a pleasant experience. This is definately one of the better fields that I have been to. There are multiple woods ball fields and one 'sup airball field. The airball field is a good 3-man field; any more than that and it's too small. There is one woods ball field called the village that I did not like. There are houses with paths around them. Basically, if you're not in a house, you get lit up. A guy shot me through a crack in a house (I was on a path) and I put my hand up and started walking off the field. As I walked by a house I got lit up 3 hits to my front, 2 to my back. 2 of those hit me in the belly button, causing me to bleed. Mind you, I had my hands up at this point. I don't know whether this was poor light ing inside he house or what, but it hurt like hell. Other than that I had a good time. The referees are great guys. They're helpful and answer any questions you might have. The staff is helpful and the prices are outstanding: $7 Field Fee, $45 Mid-level Paint (Pretty darn good).
I give it a 9 because the village sucks majorly.
I tried out this park for the first time this last weekend. they have 3 fields but one of them is huge!! it has a castle on one end a fort on the other end and a fort in the middle you can play 1 big game or have 2 smaller games at the same time. They also have what they call a village course, It is about 12 buildings about 12' square set up like a village they are anywhere from 20 feet to 50 yards apart ( I like that field makes me feel like I work for s.w.a.t. or somthing) then they have a speedball course with peagravel and blow up bunkers. They have a new field they started, hyperball. I think they have 3 or 4 fields done now .But the thing I like the most is they have no tolerance for cursing, and thats nice I can take my family and dont have to watch to keep them out of certin conversations. This is the best FAMILY PARK I have ever been to and I have been to many in 5 years!! My family and I will be back . Thanks for the fun Battle Zone!!!!
Mohawk-Very nice atmosphere
.68 Cal-Run very good tournys
Alot of others but the 2 above are local.
Battlezone is located on the outskirts of the city. They are doing somthing very good for the sport and I know this because my female English teacher told me that se had visited them. The staff is great and they have quick turn arounds.
I was somewhat disappointed though when I went. For one the viewing of the speedball field was poor. Trees made it near impossible to enjoy the game from the sidelines. Another thing that bothered me was that the field is very big on woodsball. What about us tourny guys?
Other than that they are an excelent run field and I would suggest to anyone I knew to try them out. But for me it just wasnt there!
Plus if anyone from Battlezone reads this, please do somthing with the website! It is very unprofessional to have wedding pictures on the site!
I give you an 8 because of the friendly atmosphere.
