Well, the place closed down because of some lawsuit someone filed against Greg. Poor guy almost lost his whole farm. Well I never submitted a review for the field, and now I am. The jerk that sued broke or twisted his ankle in a ditch or some pot hole, was NOT Greg's fault at all. But before the place closed down, I was interested in some woodsball and scenario type games. But now I perfer the Speedball, and Airball fields, more like what the Pro's play on. Anyway, Greg knew everything he needed to, and could help with any question. The guys that went there were nice, and would talk to you a lot. the refs might have been the best I've played with all my life, and made really good calls on everything. The field was somewhat moist, and was easy to slide and dive on. The games were player chosen, and everyone everytime could agree on a good game type. Overall, the field and players and atmosphere was amazing, and if it never closed down, I may still go there to this day. No other Oregon field may compete toward this one.
Warpaint Indoor - I hear they redid it recently so my assessment is N/A.
My brother and I tried out SniperZden to see if we wanted to play there regularly. We usually play outlaw/woods ball, because it's very cheap and we can control our own games.
There were about 12 other guys there and Greg let us all decide what games we wanted to play. He always made sure to ask what we're playing before we entered the field, just so we all knew what we had officially decided. Very laid back and cool. He knows what he's doing and is approachable with any question.
The only field we played at was the speedball field. I dont know how the other fields he has are, but this one was great. Multi-story building, single story buildings, speedball-style barrels, woods in the back. I don't usually care for this style of play, but it was still a blast.
I would suggest SniperZden to anyone who wants to paintball for fun. Keep it up Greg!
This field was insanely cool there was a huge building that had three storys!!!
There was western style town which was freaking awesome.
there was a speed ball field but we did not play on it only but we played on it with the whole field.
There were also lots of wood we played capture the flag a couple times
The refs were freaking nice one of them help me fix my gun i think his name was Bryan or something he new alot about my gun.
The field owner gave me a very good deal on paintballs and co2.
Over all the is a great field i recommend it for noobs like me, lol
Sniperzden is a great field. This place has a couple buildings with a alley between them. It has a 3 story fort where we played a D-Day game where 4-5 people are in the tower and everone else is making a run for the bunkers and trying to make their way to the fort. Their is a heavily wooded area where we played CTF. There is no FIeld fee and the paint is $45 bucks a case. Greg the owner even BBQ's for you while your playin. Everyone of the refs is friendly and eager to help. I had a great time and will come back as many times as I can afford.
This feild Kicks Ass If your a beginner its a good place to practice your running cuz the bunkers are spread out alot in some places so if u dont want to have to run very far dont walk when they ask u where do u wanna start. The prices are kool to cuz paint is only $45 bucks a case and theres no feild fee either.
Portland Paintball thoose are the only two fields ive played in oregon
Sniperz den is an awsome field because it is huge. the have a fort that has three storys and a western town that they are workin on the also have a speed ball field big enough for 10 man, the staff there are awsome and really nice, once my friends spring broke and he fixed it for free. ita very cheap, only 45 a case of paint thats the cheapest in oregon they dont charge green fees either. I had my 15th. b-day there a couple of mounthes a go and it was soo awsome, so if your lokkin for a place to play and you live in oregon go to sniperz den because they are the best!
Hit & Run Paintball - Okay if you like indoor action and overpriced paint ($80+ case *ouch*)
Portland Paintball - Great indoor airball field but they run a league so there are a few prima-donnas. Not a field for a NooB.
The first time I actually played at this field it was raining, but the action was intense from the word go, so you didn't even notice. Especially when we were playing in the woods where the tree canopy kept you covered. The field is outdoor and BIG, with lots of places to setup and shoot from.
Play varies from basic elimination to woodsball to attack and defend. There is a 3 level fort at one end of the field with lots of places to shoot from. As of the 1st there were plans to add another fort at the opposit end of the field to play something like "Unreal Tournament" style capture the flag.
The number of players varies from week to week so call ahead to see what is going on. The field owner is a player so he is not trying to get rich on the paint with 3 grades starting at $45 and tournament grade at $65 for a case. This is the place for a NooB to fall in love with the game.
All in all this is the only place for a person in the McMinnville area to play. It is only 20 minutes away, and it won't break your bank account when you get there. Check it out...you won't be dissapointed.
This is a nice field to go to . Its about half woods and half man made . Most the woods are cleaned out so its all tree to tree fighting. There are also alot of bushes that come up to your knees and a variety of small walls made of sticks. The woods are at the back of the field and also to the left and and make an L shape..to the front middle of the field is two sets of plywood houses facing each other. To the front right are a speed ball field for you guys who like speed ball , behind that is a three story fort witch quite awesome looking. The field is real basic and fun to play. its also well maintained. The grass is mowed frequently and there are no paintball oil slicks. The location is great because it almost never rains even if its raining everywhere else. greg (the owner) is a real nice guy and knows alot about alot. His prices on paint are as good as if you bought them at a store also he has real fair prices on air, rental gear, and the field fee also. On this field you have to watch out for some of the newbies because the rental gear is pretty good. The refs are real nice and are people who enjoy the game and enjoy reffing.
CO2: okay price you ten bucks for air all day long. The only bad thing is the guy (some ref) who was filling up the air didn't look like he really knew what he was doing(kinda scary), so he was only filling up the tanks about half way or two thirds.
Paint: They have Awesome deals on paint right now. Lowest grade starting at 45 dollars and going up from there to 65. Even the low grade stuff works great though. Me and everyone I went with used it and it was great. I did talk to the Owner (greg) and he was saying that there prices might go up if they lose there contract with the company though, so we will see.
Rented Guns: All I have to say is they are renta guns, need I say anymore, I mean come on how much can you expect from a rented gun. Although the prices were very good on the guns.
Field: It had two fields that we played on. If you go to their site is says they have five fields, but when we went they only had two. Their first field is really cool it can be used for multiple things from capture the flag to speed ball and they also have this awesome fort so you can play defend the fort and all that. And the Second field they had open was there woods ball, i thought it was kind of cool, it was real fast pace though.
Other comments: Man there refs don't take control and don't do paint checks very well. The refs are cool though because there lenient and let you play what ever you want, but sometimes its just like total chaos out there. Another thing that kinda sucks about this place is its kind of far(from were we live) its in St. Paul if you even know were that's at.
Overall I give this course an 8 out of 10. They have some things they can work on, but there good out ways their bad.
