Northwest Paintball in Silverdale... Its for renters.
For my dollars spent, I will always prefer to spend my money at a field like Thunder Paintball.
This is an honest review. I have played at better spool fields, I have played at better speedball fields, and I have played in better woods fields. But that is about as negative as I can get about this field. No, they are not the best fields. But they are nowhere near the worst. I love this field, I enjoy the locals and helping out the newbees. I feel as though I am part of the family at Thunder. Lan is an honest, hard working owner of a field who, in every action, personifies what is best in paintball. Not to get in a rant...
The staff makes the difference in a paintball field. I played at fields where the refs didn't care if your marker was working, didn't care if you were paying attention to the safety brief, and really didn't care if you had a good time. Thunder's staff and locals care about everyone else on the field and off.
The fields themselves are not the best, I can only give them a Eight. But, the staff makes me have the best time possible. And that is worth my time, my money, and my support.
In my honest opinion this is hands down the best midlevel rec ball field in the kitsap area. You can bring your own paint, if desired, and if you buy paint at the field, the field fee is lower! A great bunch of guys play there, and are cool to play with even around newer younger players. Many of the people (especially Lan) are more than willing to give you tips on how to improve your game. There are three fields #1 Spools Course, #2 Hyperball Course, and #3 Woods Field (about 2 acres). The field is decently economical with $20 dollars ($15 if you buy paint, which is cheaper than other local fields) for both field and all day air, and since you can bring your own paint, you can cut cost and play paintball more.
I love to go to thunder paintball the people there aren't crazy tourney guys just out there to blast you. But it’s a good place to go if you want to play at a higher level. And they also have newbie games. All the people in the pros hop like lan sky and dave are laid back and nice. They always know how to have a good time. I used to go to northwest ...but after going a few weekends at thunder I haven’t been to northwest. The people there wont force you to buy anything. And they’re not just there to make money. They’re always willing to help fix your gun or give you pointers. Every weekend I go out there I learn something about paintball. Or other things but over all thunder paintball is my favorite place to go. There are hardly ever slow days. But even if there is..the people out there will make the best of it. I’ve never gone there and had a badtime..its always fun. i forgot to talk about the course itself. The bunkers are all built great. Not falling apart theres nothing that you could get hurt on unless you dove into the bushes on the woods course. The woods is one of the three courses there. There is a spool speedball and woods course. They are all in great condition and fun for playing games on

about time this kik a$$ field got here. I love Thunder, Lan and Sky and Dave and all the refs and field regulars make it an awesome experience every time i go. My brother and i come here almost every weekend and each time is better then the last. Lan teaches us new things and helps us improve our game, Dave is fun to play with...and shoot, lol and the other regulars like to joke around and help other 'newbies' out. The prices are resonable and sometimes you can work out special arrangments with Lan to get cheaper for lets say, a birthday partie. And the refs are alert, friendly and will give u a squegee if u need it. And people like Carl and Tom and Teneyck and Tub o fun make it a real corker to come to. Thunder paintball is probably the best park i have ever been to. The fields are quality and even though its a family owned park, dont worry, we can still kick ur butt!! I really enjoy thunder and if u want to experience it too, go out there sometime, i know ill b there. And Lans wife makes the BEST Hotdogs in the whole of the West Coast, if you are like me, you go hardcore with no mustard or chili because the famouse THUNDER DOGS are the tastiest hot dogs around, my compliments to the chef!
