Fireball Mountain Paintball Games (Old Bridge) Paintball Field
Went to FBM (oldbridge) for a practice day. We played only on the Severe field. We played primarily against Armoured Saints and had a few good games. Muddy as all hell, but a good time. They only fill to 3000 psi, we reffed our own games, or other guys came on to call our games and ref. Maybe 2 or 3 reffs spread about the whole place, very disorganized and way too many people walking around with out barrel condoms.
this field was not at all what i expected. it was so small and so unprofessional which stops me from going there again. it was so muddy and the mud smelled really bad. also my gun broke down so i couldn't even play one game and they wouldn't give me a refund or a free play next time. there was almost no saftey and the fields looked like crap(there were only three) i suggest going to someplace else because by the way these guys run business they probly won't be here too much longer.
none that i have been to but i heard top gun was pretty good
i have been to this place 4 times and i love it. people say its run by teenagers it is but i like that. b/c they let u play some games with out refs. also the refs are kool they will talk you about your gun and what upgrades you should get. There feilds rock. they have one where you protect a bus from other people. there sup air ball feild is nice and the staging area is great. no matter what we got our game started right away. Remember its run by teenagers so dont expect top notch observance of your group. i give it a 10 b/c we were able to play one game with out a reff an thats fine with me. Lastly its more of a place for teen paintballers not for older guys. Also thats bullcrap that people dont have there barrel plugs in, b/c they yell at me all the time when i dont have mine in, and if u dont have one u either go rent one, buy one, or take off ur barrel.

Well i went to Old Bridge FBM a few times 2 yrs ago and then got out of paintball for a 2 years and now im back into since October and i must say they really put there act together still im sure there are more organized Fields but i find this one a lot of fun(probably the most for a more experienced players) You can put your own games together and if you want a reff you have to ask(there all about the age of 15) and they do a good job you just have to ask. They have 4-5 fields ive only played 3 of them Lego field a 2 dimensional setup of bunkers including a snake and bunch of other creative idea (i love this field) a spools setup with other bunkers its more of a woods ball setup tons of fun 2 air-ball Fields one 5 man(nice but pretty hard setup for front men) and one pretty much just for drills because it only has 7 BIG bunkers then it has a woods field i never played. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday its bring your own paint or very cheap prices on paint(40-55) and its only a 20 dollar entry all in all i think this is a fun field to play it has some safety issues(there are rules there just not enforced) so i would recommend this to more experienced player but it truly is fun for all
This field is not very good at all because of the following reasons.
- The fields were so muddy that you could not get good footing while running.
- There is absolutely no enforcement of the rules at all. I saw only 2 refs the entire time I was there (9:30am-4:30pm), and they were not wearing anything to indicate that they were indeed refs.
- There was nobody to chrono anybody's gun the entire day. Basically they had the chrono out and if people wanted to go down and test their gun they could.
- I went with 7 of my friends, so it was 8 of us all together, and we played a bunch of 4v4 games before we played against other teams, and not once did any ref or anybody working for the field ever come with us. We went to the back woods fields and set up our own games. It was like playing in the woods by my school except with air and lots, lots, lots, of mud.
- The people were also extremely rude and nobody cared that people were firing their guns inside the safety zone.
- Only about half the people had barrel plugs/condoms, and of the half almost nobody used it all the time.
- The people there steal everything they can, a kid got his halo b stolen and i "lost" about 250 paintballs. I guess that happens everywhere and it is really not the fields fault, but i thought i should just mention it.
- At the beginning of the day it took a long time to get my air filled, but after that the line never got too long. They also only fill to 3000psi even though every time i told them it was a 4500psi tank, but since I could go back as many times as i want I guess it doesn't matter.
That is basically all I have to say about the field. Hopefully they will start to take safety more seriously and force people to get chrono'ed. I was shot during a game of speedball and from the way it felt it was higher than 280fps.
Cousins of Manchester - Great, best field I've played at.
On Sunday 11/30/03 I went to FBM of Oldbridge.
Weaknesses- Trashy, No bathrooms, run-down, 4 fields, dont have to chrono, scarce refs, safezone is unsafe because nettings arent tied down so the balls go through, muddy, smelly way too crowded for 100 people on 4 fields.
Strengths- Pallet/ Lego field is not crowded and is nicelty layed out( on one side) Great paint prices
This place was really bad. but was fun for about 5 games on the Lego field. Theres so many better fields dont waste your time hear. Do not listen to these people on here trust me this field is a dump and stinks!
Ok guys heres what I think of the OB field.
*Good Sup air field (3 man formatt.) Also FB is getting a 5-7 man field sometime before Dec 14th so that will be a bonus
*Friendly & helpful staff. Ive had some repairs done on my guns by Rob free of charge.
*New netting- For the "Beginners & Ballers" tourny they put up new netting and they are leaving it up. It really makes it look better and safer to play at.
*Good lego field. We did an 18v19 on it the other week and there was amaple room for everyone. It was sick.
*Never much of a line to get your tank filled.
*Have all types of paint available to buy at the field
*Their woods, gate, and spool fields are shot. Some people like them but I think they are just taking up space.
*The chrono they have set up doesnt work so they need a ref with a handheld one to chrono people. He is there for a while but when he leaves players can just walk onto the fields w/o chroning.
*When it rains the there is mud on all the fields.
*Prices are a little expensive ($25 for admission) and a cheap case of paint is around $45-50(32 comp, zap..ect)
Wow this is the crappiest field of them all... A staten Island Field is better then this. The refs are lazy ass bumbs that care about nothing. While I was in the safety zone, where you have t have ur barrel plugs in... wow its like another field. The safety zone is a damn warzone. I got hit there like 3 times and youre supposed to have barrel plugs on... Refs saw this and said nothing.
Full auto is not allowed there... and this kid with an angel went up against me... I WAS LYING BEHIN D A BARRIER AND COULDNT GET OUT if i would even peep out i would probobly been shot about 15 times. I stayed inside the barrier and waited for the idiot kid to waste all his paint. He wasted about 2000 rounds of paint and ran out... Total idiot, when i walked out the barrier in front of me was dripping with paint there was a like a pond of paint next to the barrier, and the refs saw this and said nothing
This is a horrible field. The Fireball mountain in North Hanover is a lot better than this one, and the North Hanover field isn't even that great. This field is located in the middle of a landscaping nursery, which tends to be muddy and flooded. The fields are small, unorganized, and in overall crappy condition. The new pro shop is pretty nice. Overall I would stay away from this dump.
I personly hate this field. The refs are all idiots except for one of them. I have a friend who was shot across the entire field in the neck and it made him bleed. we told a ref and he did nothing. Everytime i go to play somebody gets either their gun, paint or anything else expensive stolen. The tables to put your stuff on are all broken. The only positives are that it is close to me and that it has tourneys. I also like how the players get to chose who the want to go against not the ref. The north hanover field is so much better.
