Paintball Madness CT tiny expensive $100 case indoor
Liberty NY lot of fields more reasonable outdoor
Skirmish PA? I think we all know how bigg this place is though expensive
Review:
I play a Liberty for the spring through fall, but when it rains or during the winter I head to the Island for some Arena paintball. The staff is great, staging area is very decent, lock boxes to store your paint (bring a lock), Decent on-site store (also affiliated with IPS blood relation SEE BELOW), adequate bathrooms.
Monday to Friday BYOP
If you go on FRIDAY night - be prepared to deal with a lot of people like five to ten per bunker 80 people total a little to busy.
I think Tuesday is team night, you should call to check.
I go on Thursdays "College night" five off admission with id Usually a nice group usually good high school player to old guys like me I'm no were near pro but i've played with/against some there, but not regularly
IMPORTANT Go to IPS to buy your paint because they often ive you a 2 for 1 card if you spend $50 low grade Zap like $30 Mid grade Blaze Midnight nightmare $45 tourny $55 - up All paint seams fresh
If you buy 3 cases take off 5 per case
Their tech staff is honest friendly no stupid questions with these guys
Weekend Field paint only $60 case but it's like Tork or similar
not too bad
Air always seems included
Only weakness that I could see at all, a problem of all indoor, is that the field seems a little narrow. In large groups they use an "L" shape field a little odd
I don't believe in giving out tens This is the best indoor i have seen
P.S. they steam the field regularly in sections and wipe down the bunkers between games
I played in a tourny here once(4th place) and it was pretty good indoor airball but i had no idea what it was like on a regular day. I went twice on a friday BYOP night and it was packed like 80 ppl and it was horrible. there was just some many ppl and i kept gettin shot by my on team, i run my a$$ of to the snake and this newb is blind fire and hits me 3 times in the back. and nobody follows the rules there. SO MANY WIPERS. and once i go up the snake to this brick at the end and they specificly say no bunkering so i go surrener to these 3 kids behind the bunker and they all shot me and the ref calls ME out. not to mention these refs are horrible. there all scared to get out. also this guys at the back right stand up and hes wavin his gun up in the air like hes gunna get out and the refs stand right next to him and next thing i know it hes shottin at me again. i dont think the ppl explain the rules very well cuz this guy and my table(we had to share it was so packed) said "dad, i got lit up like 30 times but i just WIPED it off and kept shooting" UNBELIEVEABLE! maby its just that i went on friday so DONT GO FRIDAY otherwise ull get lit up by ur own teamsometimes and sometimes the field can be bad cuz they change the airball bunkers periodiclly. The techs are pretty bad they dont know how to fix much and just dick around with ur gun. i had my friends autocoker once b/c i didnt know how to adjust the velocity and he played around with it and started walkin and shot out half my hopper then to it to a bench with an allen key took 5 secs and gave it back to me and said here u go so dont give them ur gun with paint in it. i have gon a non BYOP day so i thinks its like 50- 80 paint buy im not sure it might just be $80. and the field is an L shape so its wierd and usally just a stalemate and you get to a bunker a just shoot out of it and cnt move very much. also they try to jip you on number of games cuz they make u wait in line for like 10 mins and then wait on field for 15 mins and the games are only ilke 5-10 mins (u cnt tell when ur playin) so all in all really bad on a BYOP night like firday so ry goin saturday or somethin

I have been playing paintball very spuratically for 3 or so years and only started monthly for the last 2.
Island paintball was my first experience with indoor paintball and it was a good one. They staff was very helpful and kind to a newb like me and my friends. The only issue i had with the place was the fact that there is only one feild so you had tourney level players with full auto guns plowing down me and my rental. Not all bad though. I still give them a 10 cause they were very helpful and prices are reasonable.
helpful people arena kept up good they teach and have info for there store and stuff on hand it more expecensive there but they'll tell u that the only promblem is field is shape like a L it sometimes a anoying becouse people in L bunker or people on regular rush and u get killed
