Review: words cant explain how great this is but ill try. my group normally goes to a closer field since were in va beach and Pirate Paintball was almost twice as far but we checked out the field and decided why not give it a try. we pull up and the 2 owners (chad and john) welcome us like we were family. They gave us an overview of the speedball and woods ball field and pointed out many helpful things. We were the only 4 there so they both decided to play with us so we signed up and took off. I can guarantee you that no field will give u a paintball holder so paint wont spill from the 500 ct bags and gun stands to keep them off the ground. There prices are the same as far as field/air but one thing i liked it that you can buy paint there which is priced good or you can bring you own at a $10 fee. The rentals are electronic piranahas and are VERY VERY nice guns and the best rentals ive ever seen.
woodsball - great big area, fences/tires/forts/bunkers/etc.
speedball - snake, zipper, and many others. geat field and the nice thing is that both side are the exact same except for the snake and zipper which run on the right and left side of the field.
***Both fields were great. it was so much fun playing in the woods and switching it up at speed ball and alternating.***
The owners(chad and john) are the most helpful and generous people ever. They made things fun by playing, lent minor equipment so we could continue throughout the day, help take apart an entire gun to fix a problem, FILL TO EXACTLY 3000 PSI each and evertime unlike other places that will fill to 1800-2200 psi. Another thing i liked is the fact that we had probally 200 rounds of paint left @ 4 when they close and they both said we can stay till were out of paint. They care about there customers and treat them like royalty.
OVERALL
Owners and the best, fields are so much fun with a nice variation, tanks fill up completely, good price on paint, and must more. I told you i could explain this place but its not going to do justice to how great this place actually is. The only field you will ever see me and my friends at from here on out is Pirate Paintball.

Review: This is a up and coming field, this field is great now, but will be better after the growing stage. Even in the growing stage it is way better than the field in Chesapeake. They have great prices and they are very nice and care about the players. They are great for newbies and they don't tolerate any BS with attitudes or as well as bunkering the newbies. They are improving every weekend and as well as they listen to your suggestions and comments. They have plans for adding more fields and any improvements to make your vist great. They are in it for the long haul and I suggest that you do yourself a favor and play there, it is CHEAPER then the Chesapeake field, and by far nicer.
A MUST PLAY FIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Really good paintball field. John and Chad are the owners and they are very personable. It is such a pleasure to play at a field where the owners are very in tune to what you want and what you need. It's a great field. They have speedball and a woods course. The top sales point, is as the others have said, is the staff. It's a great place to play paintball and the best to take your kids to.

This field can not be compared to any other field that I have played on in the service area. The owners are the best people that you can meet...the care about how your day went and want to make it the best possible. They bend over backwards to help you out....something that the other fields will not do. This field is NEW and GROWING
Review: We went to go play today and to our surprise they were having military appreciation day and gave us free air and free field fees. That is worth $20 ($10 for all day air and $10 for field fee) and told us that they wanted to show they cared about the military. We got there and we were the only ones (4 of us) and they came out to play to make it more challenging. We played in the woods and on the speed ball field. The prices of the paint are GREAT and they have the largest selection of paint that I have come across and are constantly getting new and better paint.....They are now caring X-ball and it is a great price.

The extra time on the drive is SO worth it....they guys that we played with the first time there were great and EVERYONE is friendly.......They are expanding the field and always making it better.....They have a Sup Air field coming in the very near future.

WE have talked with them and they always ask what they can change to make it better and you come back and IT IS CHANGED. They take the time to listen and take suggestions to heart......HOW MANY FIELDS DO THAT.

If you are looking to find a place to call home....Like I am .......Come check this field out...thay are great and are really good people.

The only down side is that they are new and do not have the funding for all the air tanks but I have not had them run out yet....and they are using wood for their speed ball field...but it is a good field non the less...... I would give this field a 7 for the field and a 9.8 overall because of the service and the people.....

Ohh yea and by the way......their rental package is cool....they have some electric markers for rent that are capable of full auto if you have a motorized hopper to go on it.....fun to play with in the woods IF EVERYONE says it is ok.

Everyone around or near this place should go by and check it out.......you owe it to yourselves to check it out.

If you want to talk to me about my experience on the fields AIM me at Evilomenshooter

Review: Pirate Paintball
These guys are great. Unlike other fields i have been to Chad and John seem to actually care if you come back or not. They have some great paint prices. They only have two fields at the moment { woods and a plywood 7-man speedball} but both fields are a lot of fun. I believe they are soon to setting up an airball field and possibly some form of tactical set up.The reffing is also done very well in my opinion. If you want a fair, safe, and fun day of paintball and you are in the area play at Pirate Paintball.

Highly recomended

Review: Still a relatively new field undergoing almost constant improvements thanks to the owners considerable knowledge and experience. With the most recent notable changes being in the center bunker on the speed course.
The center bunker shown in the speed ball section of the link have been changed to two dynamic x shaped bunkers with a sizable space in the center allowing more varied shooting situations and angles.
They have also added to the fort section of the woods field making for interesting attack and defend the fort games that everyone seems to enjoy .

I could go on about the merits of both the speed ball and wood courses but what I really want to share with everyone is the pleasant atmosphere that accompanies this field. The courteous owners and staff insure a safe ,enjoyable, and friendly place to play that transfers to the players. I have seen 7 year old sons their proud parents and seeming professional players along with many of varying ages and skill levels coming together to enjoy the sport. There is a sense of camaraderie that I cannot imagine anywhere else . When things go wrong with equipment which invariably will you can rely not only on staff but the other players to do whatever they can to help correct your situation.

Master Blaster - Can't compare! The people at Pirate paintball want your support and love the game just as much as you do. The facility is better and so are the prices. It is great to have a place that you can feel at home at.

Review: This is a great upcoming field. The staff is very energetic about the game and are always up for suggestions. I was told they tried to take everything that they didn't like about other fields and correct it on their own. They have done a great job. There are plans for an inflatable field in the near future.

Their woods field is the cleanest I have ever seen and I have built a few woods fields myself. The woods and raked and stump free. I am really impressed. They play attack and defend, center flag, and total elimination. The refs give an excellent overview of the field for first time players on the field and point out key bunkers to ensure that everyone is going to have a great time. On the field are great forts along with natural bunkers and thicket lines. Even if you are a hardcore speed baller you will love their woods.

The speed ball field is all ply wood but expertly constructed. The field is very clean and the grass is mowed every week. The refs are incredible and keep a very fair game. The times I have been there, there has always been three if not four refs on the one speed ball field and are very quick to do a paint check. They break up teams very evenly so no one side is stacked with more experienced players. They play center flag or total elimination depending on players vote.

I would recommend Pirate Paintball to anyone from the newbie to the competition player. Definitely check this place out if you like great refs, fair play, and an awesome day of ball.

Review: Northeast North Carolina finally has a paintball field.

It is new and still under construction, but what they have so far is definitely a good start. So far all they have is one speedball field and one woodsball area, but they have plans to actually build a kill house, and they have room for much expansion.

The personnel that work there are very knowledgable, helpful and take suggestions and comments much easier than they do at Master Blasters.

Still in it's early stages but with a showing by the rural paintball and military paintball communities, this could become a real field to contend with.
