Review: I got there around mid day to meet up with a buddy of mine who had been playing since morning. When I got there I was amazed at how well the fields were set up. Unlike other fields I have played at, these fields were actually symmetrical, which was a big bonus because it encouraged fairness. I geared up and walked up to the chrono to make sure I wasn't shooting hot. When I walked onto the field, I was chronoed again by one of the refs, which surprised me. I was very pleased that the refs were going out of their way to make sure everyone was shooting below 300 fps. It made me feel more secure that I wasn't going to be shot in the neck by some punk shooting at 400 fps, which has happened before at another location. Teams were picked and we waited for the ref to start the game. To my surprise, the ref said, "3, 2, 1, ten seconds!" Yet, another bonus to playing at an all airball tournament-style field. The refs were quick to pull players out that had been shot and were always there for you if you needed a paint check. We played a few games and got to know some of the players there; they were all very friendly and willing to help me out with anything I was having trouble with. For example, I cut my finger on my gun because after I milled it for top cocking i forgot to round off one of the edges. I asked a guy for a band aid, and to my surprise he had a whole first aid kit available! They really know how to take care of their customers. The only drawback to the field locations, which can't really be fixed, is that they are on a sandy type dirt. This sand gets everywhere, which is a headache to clean up. During one game I dove into the snake and got sand all over. Luckily no sand got in my gun, so if you're careful enough the sand shouldn't be a big problem. There weren't too many people there today, but it was the first day they were open so I'm assuming not too many people know about these fields yet. Warning: I only recommend playing at these fields if you like having fun. They're the best fields I have ever played at.
