Review: People need to stop saying bad things about this place. its a good fun place for people to learn how to play the game and have fun. even if you already know how to play this is a good place to go because they have all kinds of fields, mainly forest. The refs are all really nice people cool to talk to if you need help or anything. all the people complaining that their team wasn't fair but, the refs switch it up and make it fair all the time. sometimes its a little one sided but just say something and they will do their best to fix it.

the only bad thing about it is that it is a little to much money.

Review: If you plan to go, be sure to ask for directions when you are near the area, because it is very hard to find. The sign says operation paintball in very small letters on a sign that looks like all the other signs in the area. The road that goes to the paintball site is poorer than the roads of Rome in the dark ages. Just pray that there is not another car coming the other way because there is only room for one car.

Paintball site:
Well, if your into the down to earth kind of paintball, this place is for you. The paintball office is a trailer home with an extended rain shelter and some benches. There are some porter-potties if you need to relieve yourself.

Maps:
We went when it was about 90 degrees outside, and the wooded areas kept us cool. Some are very big, and some are very small, considering how many people they shove in an open group. Careful of huge thorns. The refs choose where you go.

Staff: Extremely nice staff that are willing to help. Chrono every time we go out (under 280 fps). The refs are sometimes too nice, and when people were complaining that their masks would fog up, the refs would give like twenty minute breaks. However, when my group of 14 people came to play, they said that they would have to group us with the other open players. I was expecting like 6 people since it was a pretty hot rainy day, but it was a group of 20, so the open group had about 34 people, excluding the 5 refs.

Conclusion: We had these paintball USA coupons so we only had to pay the price of paint. The price was 100 per case, which is pretty expensive, but I heard it was worse. If you use coupons, make sure you call ahead 'cause you're going to run into some trouble talking to the staff.

Review: When i was there, the refs sucked.. the teams were stacked like hell... we had 5-7 kids no more then 12 years old, and the other team had younger more organzied people.. we didnt win a single game.. the refs were even pointing to where we were in the trenches.. Bathrooms could be cleaned... once in a while.. some running water to wash off paint would be usefull
agian.. teams could be shuffled once in a while.. putting the same players with the same players isnt fair.. and when its kinda like a 1 sided game.. teams need to get mixed.
food was great.
people there were nice. a better driveway into the paintball area would be nice.. Wider lanes.. And a bigger sign thats not old with chipped paint thats Says: Operation PaintBall HERE!

Overall rating.. around a 4.

Review: Well I dont know why People are bad rapping Operation Paintball I think the place is fun. The Refs there are fair and try to keep the kids safe no matter what. The fields are put together by Teenagers and they are put together VERY WELL. The price of Paint is a little high but they do not have another store or anything else to help them make the extra cash so I think 100 bucks is fair for 2000 balls. These people on here say that they can't leave the fields when they want to well Im glad the Refs want to make sure people are safe and Im 36. All in all Operation Paint ball is a fun place to play and the staff is great, and they are very helpful too.

Review: Operation paintball SUCKS! If you really want to play fun paintball go to paintball blitz in gurnee by great america. I went a couple times to this field only because i had some coupons, and thats the last time ill go. The coupons i had included air all day and it took a long argument just for them to comply with that!! The ref's heard you together like kindergarden kids. When we were playing a game my gun broke down bad, so i was walking back to my car for tools and some dumb ass ref yelled at me that i couldnt leave on my own, im 25 years old,,,, so ya i didnt like to be talked to like i was 5. No other field has that stupid rule you cant leave the game on your own. Paint prices suck, and the quality of paint was terrible, and the balls where all out of round, and dimpled bad. And of couse you have to chrono EVERY damn time you go out of the staging area probley so you have to buy more of their crappy expensive paint. The rental guns my friends had to use should be in the garbage not still played with. The fields looked like they were put together by teenagers. If you want a fun paintball experience take it from me avoid this place like the plauge. The only way this place would be worth going to is if they droped paint prices by 50%. Total joke of a paintball field. Any other field in the area will have ATLEAST 2 times as many people playing on the weekend, and now you know the reason.

Review: Good fields. Some fields are too small for sneaking around for woodsball but still big enough for quick CTF and elimination games. Mother Earth field is awesome. Biggest field they got and excellent for sneaking up on people. Our last game was on M.E. and the refs allowed us to play rejuvination for 30mins until everyone was out of paint and/or air. It does take awhile for games to get start - they dont' have enough refs. The refs still friendly despite almost being overworked. The fields where we had the most fun were Mother Earth, Yellow field (the one with the pallets and crate), and the barrel field. More than half of our group were new to paintball and we all had fun. This place is great for starters and veterans alike.

Review: -Good-
Great Fields (mother earth is amazing)
Very Friendly place
Usually theres a good amount of people there
Refs are fair
-Bad-
Expensive
Air not free
Not the greatest waiting area

Overall I think that Operation is a great place to go, the people are friendly, usually a good amount of people there, refs are fair( never had any problems with them). They also host a few 3 man tournaments which i've played in. It is expensive to play there, the paint is $30 for 500 balls which is way more then it should be, but they give flyers that have coupons for free admission. So if you want to have a good time head on out there for a good time.

Review: couple good fields, everything else is $#!+
It has nothing better than other places
To start, it was a rainy morning, but by 8, when they said they opened, it was cleared up. we came around 8:30, but still had to wait over an hour before there was even a ref to go through the safety stuff for us. after that, the games were not delayed for anything, which is good, only 20 open people all day aren't hard to manage. but what really got us later was that while we were out on that white fence field(great field! for 20 of us) ALL the open players'(3 separate groups) paint was stolen, right off the tables. It was only a bag and a half from us, but still at this place, 500 costs $30. We mentioned it to the owner that was there and he just brushed it off as So What? They wouldn't even ask the other groups about it, the only other people there were team practice and 1 private group of kids(w/ adults). Basically, the staff was useless all day too. So anyway, we shot off what we had left and went home, never to return. So, if you want to play a couple good fields, go to OP on a rainy morning, not too early, but lock your case of paint in your car, it costs too much at $110 for it to get stolen, though they say it has never happened before. Yeah, and it never happened to me before either, so what?
I almost forgot, the piranhas there are old and can't hit the side of a barn, well, not a door anyway...and Is there any other type of game than elimination????

Review: Fields-Several playing fields, well maintained, safe / no negative comments
Refs-friendly / SLOW (at chrono, safety briefing, and getting an open group out)
Prices-no positive comments / $110 a case! RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED
Staging Area-room for everyone / very rundown

The only good thing about OP is the fields. Every time I have been there, they have only been able to fill to 2500psi. They are understaffed. I once went out with a 35-noob strong open group, WITH TWO REFS. We played on the little white fence field. It was awful. In my opinion, the only positive with OP is the fields.
