Paintball USA Close Encounters Santa Clarita Paintball Field
Fields of Fire (pretty good)
California Paintball Park (not bad)
Well.... where to begin....
Too long in between games
Too much hillside to tromp up and down
All in all not a good experience.
(dont EVEN bother with thoes 'discount coupons' they offer... they're not worth the paper they're printed on)
PBUSA/CE does have 2 things going for them and will give credit where credit is due...
1) they're good at marketing to get new players into the sport (noob hunt anyone?)
2) LARGE field leads to some very interesting tactical possibilities
Lets start off with the bad things. The first thing that made me think twice about this field is one of the staff is a constant smoker, not cool especially with younger kids around.
The Field in general is the trashiest looking field ever. This cannot even compare to FOF. When I need help with my velocity the staff just left me alone they didn't want to deal with me, at Fields Of Fire they help you as much as they can depending on how much work must be done it will cost money. They have some good hamburgers there as well.
I just flat out hate PB-USA they ripp you off the rules are totally not fair and especially not fun.
California Paintball Park (not as good)
Santa Clarita Indoor (much different experience, of course)
Well this field is great or crappy depending on what kind of player you are. Me being a big time recball player, so much that I only play speedball for team practices/tourneys, this is a frekin gift from the paintball gods. I'm also self equipped so it doesn't bother me that the equipments a bit...pricey (ninja pakage if you are under 17 is a great deal however). The speedball field is not the best around here for sure, however it is one of if not the BIGGEST FIELD MOST WILL EVER PLAY ON! Infact it is so big it doesnt matter that there are only 2 fields there is as much variation as u need anyway, I'm still figuring out field stratagys and ive been there for a long time. You should buy paint at store tho because the field paint is a big fat rip off. If you are a first time player with no equipment or paint or air use the free coupons, other wise they are also a rip off. Over all it is a great field for newbies, best there is if you can get past the price. and for the hardened recballa its also great. Give it a try. They will not touch ur gun for insurance reasons but now Mike has his GREAT store open on the field Saturdays and Sundays and he'll take care of ya.
(Its a 10 for me but i fit the field like a tee)

California Paintball Park, good all around place
SC Village (too big and waaaaay too slow; with refs as dumb as lamp posts)
Fields of Fire (best rec ball around with the best refs I've ever played with)
This was my first experience with paintball, and I learned a lot.
No one was nice to me, especially the staff. Some old crusty guy started yelling at me when I showed them how my rental gun was broken and wanted a new one.
This field has got be the biggest rip-off in SoCal, balls, Co2, mask; they try and get you on everything; and they're MERCILESS. You'd think they would be reasonable for prices on some things, but they're not. When I left, they were freaking leeches.
The speedball ref was nice, but the course just plain sucked. Couple that with the fact that there are only rec course and 1 speedball arena on the whole premises; and you're looking at a dull day.
One match the refs threw us into a full-fledged firefight that had been going on for about 10 minutes. Needless to say, starting a match like that wasn't exactly the greatest impression for us first-timers. One of my friends will never give paintball another chance because of this experience (he got maliciously lit up).
All in all, I had fun that day since it was my first experience in paintball; but to this day, whenever I look back on it, I wish it had been at another field. (nicer people, working equipment). It wasn't the place that did it, it was the sport that caused me to have such a good time.
In short, this place blows. Do yourself a couple of favors: save yourself lots of money, and more importantly have a great time. you can do both by NOT going here.

SC Village/ Hollywood Sports/ California Paintball Park
Well lets start off with the good things..... You can bring your own paint which will probably save you money. They have pretty average tippman rentals that fire when you pull the trigger..... But if you come here, make sure your energetic, you will have to do lots of walking. If you are the team that has to " take the walk " You have to walk up a very steep hill. Its tiring and also very repetitive. If you ask for a paintcheck or need help out because of overshooters, the refs look at you and dont help even if you scream. There is also only one field that is open to walk ons. Besides that i had a really good time and will go back again definately. I recommend it.. sorta
field of fire-betterplayers
california paintball park
Paintball usa is a pretty good park. the park has a big field and it is pretty sweet. Theres bunkers, trees, and other obstacles to hide behind. the field gets a little tiring to hike up by the end of the day. And the ref's can be idiots. all in all its a pretty sweet park though.
I would probably stop playing before ever playing here again! Here's why:
1)Had coupons for 200 free paintballs, then we were told we would have to buy a case of 2000 to get 200 free.
2)The case we had to buy was 80 bucks and was crap paint!
3)We were told that we could get a private game of 15, then got there and were told we needed 20 so we had to play with walk-ons...12 of my 15 were first time players and were kids.
4)The "field" was like hiking in freakin' Yosemite Valley. You could walk literally a quarter to a half mile up the side of a cliff and never even see the other team. Are we paintballing or looking for Big Foot?
5)The refs are LAZY. You could potentially cheat all day and never get caught. 90 percent of the field isn't even supervised.
6)If you bring your own marker and it gets hit in a game you are out. If you rent a marker from them and it gets hit, you are still in. !?!?!?!
7)They also have stupid reincarnation rules. I shot the same two people 3 times each, then when they finally got me 10 minutes later (as i was asking the ref how are they still in) I WAS OUT!
If you could go to any other park, go there because this one is the worst I have ever been to.

the main feild is big, huge hill on the side, lots of bunkers, rocks, trees. decent price $25 self-equipped, you can use your own paint with no extra cost, refs are good unless you go up the hill. they go over the rules alot which is good sometimes.
they have private feilds too, theres one on top of the mountain, steep hill (going down) on the side, another hill not so steep on the others side, the main battlefeild is an "L" shape, it's a bit uneven though
overall good feild, they just need to get some ref to the middle/top of the hill
Xpark which proably closed down sc village conquest urban quest
The field is pretty nice kinda hily but i like it each game last about 20-40 mins depending how many people there is . They got a small speedball field down the hill. they have a small icecream truct that sell hotdogs and dranks. The ref are good and realy strict with the mask you must keep the mask on at all time on the field or else you have to sit out a game and do it twice you out for a day . SO if you go to this field wear your mask at all times when on the field.
Conquest - cool, but not into woodsball
X-Park - Its indoor, which is cool. Good for Summer b/c its air conditioned
Fields of Fury - Great, but not there anymore
California Paintball Park - Greatest Park in Southern California. Just like SC Village, but without the constant stagnant smell of COW CRAP.
SC Village - Nice Speedball. Constant Smell Of Cow Crap
- 15 Minute games 45 minute breaks in between.
- Not Near Anything
- If you are the team that has to "take the walk" you have to trek up this hill for about a quarter mile
- Not worth admission
- it is really bad
- They allow guns to be on full auto, which sucks if you are trying to be a serious player
- the refs dont watch the games. They stay at the bottom of the hill. Players can be hit, wipe, and nothing will happen to them.
