Extremely cool staff. They have a very strict goggles on policy .Every one who plays is cool too ,they arent afraid to give noobs tips and pointers. If you have a new gun and its your first time using it they will help you out.Flat land,no hills. This field isn't too expensive to play on and its worth every peny.Trust me you will have fun!!!!!!!!
For me being a noob again this was a good and helpful staff at Conquest. They were very help and broke down all the rules. They even gave me helpful pointers since I havenít been on a field in 8+years.
There was a short period of waiting in between each game, so if you want to play.... you would definitely get it here!!!
The guys and girls that were there playing seemed to be a good group too. Friendly & and cool. They were there to have fun. No buttheads here! I am just a 33 year old father of 2 looking to have some fun on the weekends and found it at Conquest. Thanks guys!!!
They fields were fine. They told me that the recent rains changed things a bit, but all was good to me. No one else complained either. There was nothing fancy, just tires, large wire spools couple of trenches or fox holes, obstacles and sand bags. Even had a tunnel in the large overgrown reeds. A wash or creek went thru a field which was neat.
As for the facilities... they could be upgraded I guess. If it were me; I would paint the structures. I would have a better or larger waiting or rest area. You know some of us new guys wanted to talk to the more experienced guys for pointers or advice in between games. I would also sell food!!! Something simple, like someone making simple sandwiches. I know a few taco trucks in L.A. that would probably do well there. I don't know, again I am just a noob.
October 15 2005
The Tournament field has more bunkers on the left side now. Walking to the field on your left, on the side of the field entrance. Awesome!!!
1st week of September 2005
They added about 8 bunkers to the vietnam field on the river. Pretty fun stuff.
August 20 2005
Great to see everything is still good. For the first time I played what they call
" LOVE FEST "
Which basically means you don't get out until you CALL YOURSELF OUT.
You play until you can't take it anymore. So basically you run up the field like you're rambo and shoot it out with the other team at close range, and it goes on until he or she can't take it anymore and calls themselves out.
THIS IS SO FUN!!!
I literally gotten shot atleast 100+ times in 2 games. Oh man, reloading is CRAZY. I got shot so many times while reloading, I turned around so I would get shot in the back because it's hard to load while they're shooting you up as fast as humanly possible, especially when they're shooting your gun up as well. YES!!!!
YOU CAN GET CRAZY IN LOVE FEST.
RUSH STRAIGHT FOR THE ENEMY AND JUST UNLOAD YOUR PAINT ON THEM.
Oh ya, the 5 feet rule still applies, because the game is fun but it's also safe and the ref said he'll call game over if he thinks it's gonna become unsafe.
PURE ADRENALINE RUSH!!!
Their airball field is done. it's a real field now with alot of bunkers.
ADVICE: drink gatorade instead of water, or powerade. At first I was walking away tired from the end of each game cycle because I didn't get much sleep the night before. Gatorade actually let me play normally, other sorta because I pulled a muscle at the beginning of the day and was basically limping around sometimes.
May 10 2005
You don't have to make the detour around the mountain anymore, regular access is up. They have a NEW airball field up, good for up to 4on4 matches which are COOL. Since there wasn't any private parties on Sunday, we played 2 games on the regular fields and would go right into airball field for 4on4 matches back to back to back for some fast paced action. We'd take a 10 minute break or something and then we'd go back onto a regular field for 2 rounds, then back on the airball field. After the airball field, during the breaks, the ref said people could play 1on1 with whoever stayed to play. Coolios hehehe.
UPDATE: They e-mailed saying they're making 2 more fields and fixing up the main fields as well. WOO WOO!!!
BRING YOUR OWN PAINT!!! THE ALTERNATE ROAD IS A PAVED ROAD!!! ALL THE WAY!!!
I SPENT $10 Admission + $4 for 2 9oz co2 gas fills + $1 for a soda + 1 oring LOL!!!
$15----+ Paintballs lol. USE RPS / PMI BIG BALL PAINTBALLS!!! SAME COMPANY AS MARILIZAR)!!!
Price: $20 admission ($10 right now discount for 4 weeks)
Location: It's a little out of the way off the freeway but it's a really fun drive. Driving
through the mountains is always fun, ask any driver that played race car games as a kid. ( DO NOT SPEED LOL)
Games: 2 games, back-to-back, rest a little, then repeat the cycle. They get the games going pretty quickly. Once the 1st round is over, you switch sides quickly the 2nd round starts very fast. You stay pumped up and good to go.
UPDATE: The games took a little longer to get started yesterday. Half of it couldn't be helped. There was like 40+ walk-ons (FUN FUN FUN GAMES!!!) and people walk slow you know? Not the ref's fault, people just tend to stroll.
However, The breaks between games were way longer than usual. There was a time when I chilled for about 35 minutes waiting at the entrance where the goggles on sign is at for the walk on game to be called. It was pretty hot though, and we just came off the vietnam field.
Usually it's like 10-15 minute breaks so everyone can reload, gas up or whatever they gotta do. Out of the 4 times I've been there, this was the only time I experienced the long wait.
Referees: Ownage!!! Doing their job like they had a rocket launcher to their heads!!! Whenever someone get's hit and calls themselves out (sometimes it's hard to see) the referee will say " Let him out, Let him out " if the shooter keeps shooting.
The refs sometimes will even shout out that a person who got out is walking through an area. That was cool because 3 seconds after I heard that, I saw someone walk by and I would've surely shot him because he was 10 feet away and was like whoa, DOH!
When you're out, you're supposed to make sure you show that you're out when you're walking off the field. Well, I was caught up in the moment and I saw two people walking. I naturally pointed my marker at them, and right then (or right before I can't remember) a referee informed them to keep their marker up to signal they were out. If I was one of those guys, I would maybe think it was kinda dumb, BUT I WAS THE GUY AIMING AT THEM, so yea I see the logic in that and it makes ALOT of sense. Those referee's man, they're cool. On the breaks, they give you a 5 minute warning, 2 minute warning, then show time call hehehe. Ain't that cool?
Staff: WOOHOO!@!@!@!@ Happy Happy Joy Joy, Happy Happy Joy Joy, Happy Happy Joy Joy Joy Doo Dooo DOOo DOOoooo DOOOOOOO
Services: Spartan like but good to go. Snacks and Drinks, O-rings and some other stuff. They have a shack filled with goodies and a trailer on the side which I'm assuming is the air filling station that I read about in the other reviews earlier this year where they said this field was getting a trailer for compressed air fills or better psi or something. Other than that, they don't have any real food and since I had to use the alternate route, food wasn't really available. BRING LOTS OF WATER!!! UNTIL THE MAIN ROAD IS FIXED, BRING YA OWN LUNCHES!!!
UPDATE: the 2nd time I went, it was kinda very damp and it was actually sprinkling for a little bit. Needless to say it was a pretty cold day, and with the light rain some people were having problems with there markers. There were a couple people in the booth fixing them up. They must know their stuff because another worker or someone related to the field walked into the booth and was told to fix a marker. The person asked what's wrong with it and the reply he got was " I don't know, just fix it " and he went about his way to fix it. Thats the only time I ever had to wait in line. I waited in line twice, but the waits were only about 3 minutes or less both waits.
Gear: I brought my own stuff so I can't really so. I did notice some people with camo tops only, and I think that was rented. In earlier posts I heard they upgraded their markers to some decent stuff, not the cheapest one they can get. I heard they sell really decent paintballs too, not cheap stuff.
UPDATE: I read a review where someone said they offer spyder xtras as rentals. They have paintballs, co2, air fills, paintball markers, tanks, pods, camoflauge tops, masks, and all the other stuff you need to play paintball. I always bring my own stuff so I'm not sure what else they have but I often see many people with rental gear as well as private groups with rental gear so they have everything you need to play paintball.
The fields are pretty cool all around. They set it up pretty good. A mix of everything, open space, closed spaces, far and close obstacles, bamboo, bunkers, bamboo tunnel, a nice tree with a 3 foot sand base that I can shoot around, dirt mounds, A small River straight Vietnam style hehehe. A nice bunker that could hold 8 people nicely. Different fields give you different set-ups and it's different everytime you play. Some fields are like a couple mini fields put together. On the right flank you have this set-up, the left you have this, but they all work out AWESOME!!!. Gotta have protection to crawl around here. I suggest a chest protector on top of gloves, rollerblading knee pads and elbow pads with thick plastic so you can drag your body around instead of crawling.
TOURNAMENT was a really fun, fast paced field. There's a flat ground so can basically slide your butt off if you know how. The obstacles are tyte, you can bust some crazy rushes if you are down enough and know when to chill or get marked out.
There's alot of bunkers here's. Sandbag bunkers, bamboo bunkers, bunkers that are 5 feet left to right and a few feet tall, or teepees made of wood or bamboo that you can stand up behind, spools, natural bunkers, and 1/3 of the map is crazy man, like a shooting gallery. It's a gully and there's a few bunkers and that's it, you gotta have some snap shooting skills or have some buddies to get through that stuff. I call it a shooting gallery because if you get there first, the other team just pops out trying to get into the gulley and you can just shoot them. However, most of the time both teams arrive nearly at the same time.
RIVER this is sort of like 2 group of military men meeting and then trying to flank each other. The field is set up in a long line. You have bunkers along one side of the field, and the other side is bunkers and alot of bushes and brush. The bunkers are a mix of sandbag bunkers, spools, spools with stacks of hay. The otherside if a mix of tall brush, tall bamboo umm...piles and also some bunkers.
VIETNAM This map is nice. It's truly stalker style. Starting from the entrance to the field, the right side is a riverbed with 3 feet tall x 8-10 feet wide bamboo bunkers. The middle is mixed with tunnels paths, and an open area. The far left side is full of bushes and trees which have thin branches that you can crouch through. It was crazy, so many angles, like dang man gotta have some buddies do a crossfire and hold the line and move up together. Go ahead and rush away, but watch your back and don't get lost lol. It was tyte though, I mean super tight. YEA MAN SUPER TYTE!!!
UPDATE: This is Truely Vietnam Jungle Fighting, I even bought myself a boonie hat just for this map !!! The right side of the field is a dried riverbed. The middle is bamboo tunnels and bushes and there's and open field if on the leftside, although I didn't get all the way to the left yet. One time I almost got close but the enemy was there so I waited for them.
On the right, the riverbed has a bamboo thingy that you can crawl into and you're totally covered, sniper style. There's also a long main bunker and some spools.
In the middle, the bamboo jungle rules man. Some places have nice cover, others have holes where you actually go through the bamboo or stay inside of it. Nice shade and nice breezes in there.
On the left, there's an open field I think but I don't remember, since I dind't go FAR left on this field yet, from either way.
There was another field, I remember walking over ALOT OF ROCKS, more rocks and ground actually. But I don't remember having a bad experience so it should've been all good. I did have knee pads and a chest protector so when I crawled around, I didn't get hurt too badly.
UPDATE: This map is called River, and the rocks are in the path when you walk up to it. It's a pretty fun map, and both teams start on the right side of the field, on opposide ends. When the game starts, everybody rushes to the left side of the field or straight and chaos begins.
UPDATE: I recieved a fast e-mail reply from conquest and they said that they're going to build 2 7-man fields and work on the 3 main fields and they got 10 people to make it all good to go!!!
COME OUT AND PLAY PEOPLE!!! COME ON DOWN!!! BRING YOUR OWN PAINT!!!
I used a 9oz tank and used up two tanks in 4 1/2 hours. $2 each fill. Got a free o-ring at the beginning too!!! Some places charge $10-$15 for all day gas. I don't know about nitro but for co2, I basically filled up 18oz in 4 1/2 hours so I spent $4, 8 hours would be $8 for co2!!! That's DOPE!!! I used about 500 paintballs. Brought my own paintballs.
I recommend RPS / PMI Big Balls. The same company that makes marbilizer. They sell them at Big 5. I bought 1000 for $19+ tax. They're EXTREMELY accurate. I got a 14" rifled CMI Tru-Flight barrel, but these paintballs are great. They have a hard shell so you can shoot through some weak stuff. Break some branches too hehe. I used about 500-600 at home target practicing. I gotta say BUY A CMI TRU-FLIGHT BARREL. With my stock barrel, I'd shoot 10-15 feet comfortably. With my Tru-Flight Barrel, 70+ feet accuracy. I mean bam paintball to mask at 70 feet *SPLAT!!!
If you like to crawl like me, get what I got. I got myself knee pads and a chest protector so I can drag my body on the floor. Getting elbow pads soon. This way you can crawl while you're marker is aimed accurately.
EAT A GRIP OF FOOD OR BRING A GRIP OF FOOD!!!
BRING A GRIP OF WATER!!! This place is so fast paced, you drink water almost every single break (2 games, break, 2 games, break, 2 games, break, etc...) The games are fast paced and back to back with no lag except except for the designated breaks. This place is cool man, never a dull moment on the field.
MARCH 13 UPDATE!!!
IF YOU ARE BRINGING CHILDREN THIS IS A SAFE PLACE TO PLAY. Of course paintballing does have it's dangers that are present anywhere you play, but this place has awesome referees watching the game to make sure everybody plays safe. I've been there twice and everytime there's 2 refs each game. This is cool because they do alot to ensure safety and the refs do everything you expect AND more. I mean professional refs who do their job extremely well. They're always watching, they see everything (well ya know), they have walkie talkies so they can communicate with each other.
The reason I say it's safe is because everyone there works as a team and they all help out to make sure people are acting in a safe manner.
#1 The refs see everything, and there's 2 per game with walkie talkies to communicate
#2 They make sure you always have your mask on
#3 if someone gets out and is pinned down but still getting shot up, the refs will make sure they don't keep getting shot at by saying they're dead let them out if
#4 If someone is out, the ref will sometimes say dead man walking through (blank) so people will know not to shoot them. (First time I heard a ref say that, I saw someone walk past about 3-5 seconds later. I would've shot him for sure if the ref didn't say that.
UPDATE: #5 refs rush to chrono someone if they're accused of shooting faster than 280 bps. Someone accused another person of shooting over the 280 bps limit and the ref rushed to chrono the person on the spot. I saw that later in the day. Way Earlier, someone was caught shooting above the limit.
#3 and #4 helps alot. This helps people from getting shot a million times after they're out already. UDATE #5 helps alot because since you only have to be 10 years old, this keeps it safe for everyone.
2 referees with about 15 people on each team each team (main road is closed)
3-4 people busy as bees helping everyone as fast as possible. SERVICE WITH A SMILE =]
2 a game!!! My goggles fogged up so I stuck my hand in the mask to wipe the glass with my fingers (didn't take the goggles off, didn't plan to) but didn't get too because I heard the ref say keep my goggles on, for some stupid reason I said " my goggles are fogged up ". He was like, it doesn't matter, safety first. My goggles stayed fogged, but dang that was a QUICK call lol.
They make sure the game plays very fairly. Some people were acting suspicious or something because , while standing next to the ref after I got out, the ref was on his walkie talkie talking to the other ref about some players he's watching. Hehehe BYE BYE CHEATERS!!! They even yell out dead man coming through ------- so the people that are out already don't get shot over and over while they leave the field.
When you're getting light up and get out, they say let him out. That's cool because sometimes markers don't shoot too straight so people will unload on a certain spot to get a hit or just to keep the person pinned down. Took about 6 paintballs before the guy stopped shooting because the ref said he's dead let him out hehehe.

Poso Creek Painball
Gorilla Paintball - New
I was impressed with Conquest. Friendly and on-the-ball staff. They do stress safety and if you ignore them, you will get the boot ASAP. Rains have made it a bit more difficult to get to, and if you disregard the Road Closure signs, you should be fine. Access has to come from Sand Canyon, however... as Little Tujunga is closed from the San Fernando Valley side. Vietnam is a cool course, though I've been told the rain has changed the layout.
Oh yeah... they do not offer all day fills on CO2. I just got a PMI 48/3000 and have been told, they do all-days on them, though.

Dave and All his staff were very friendly and attentive. I scheduled a private group and everyone had a great time. Our referee AJ was great, he payed attention and called players out as soon as they were hit with paint. I definitely would recommend this field to anyone who hasn't played here before. I would recommend maybe having one of those hot dog stands to provide food on the premises. It would be very convenient for both adult players and especially kids who are too young to drive.
PB USA: Don't even get me started. This place horrible. See my review on it.
Hollywood Sports Park: Great, but way pricey
Feild of Fire: Great place, but speedball is too far away.
When I decided to boycott PB USA early on in my paintball experience, I looked for another local field to play at. I had remembered a place called Conquest right next to one of my favorite shooting ranges. So I decided to try it out and have gone there regularly ever since.
First off, the fields there are very very fun. You have a bushy, "vietnam" field. One called "Tournament" that has bamboo, sandbags, tires, and other barriers. Recently, they took down the "ghetto" field made up of entirely spools and replaced it with Airball. Airball is incredibly fun, however, they lack a snake. There used to be a river bed, but the recent floods have created three, 3-4 feet deep river beds now. They combined the "river" field with "vietnam". The fields have changed for the better in my opinion and have adequate bunker space.
As far as the staff goes, they are incredible. They will help you with your gun, equipment, and the guy even loaned me a tank when I forgot to get mine hydrotested when the new year rolled around (I wouldn't expect him to do it again though). The people there are very friendly and always have a good atittude. They'll give you help with your gear and loan you whatever tools you need. The one problem is that they will never fill your nitro to over 2200 PSI. Oh well, you just have to fill up on air a lot.
Prices are decent, $20 for all day play, $5 for all day air. They even have a nice hot dog man that sells food. He's Jewish and sells really freakin awesome Kosher Dogs. Kosher Dogs are the best...
So, this place has it all. Good prices, great people, awesome fields, and is just a fun place to play at. Go there now. Easily a 9/10.

I am from Ohio and brought my stuff to play out here to pass the time. There were only 2 fields open and they say they were remaking 2 others. The refs tried to sort out the teams and were pretty decent. Pricing was fair and I thought the fields were pretty decent to play on. I didn't see any attitudes (even when I shot my own teammate in the back) and everyone was there just having a good time paintballing. they turned the games pretty quick and you can BYOP and air. It was cloudy and cool but probably could get hot in the sun as there is very little shade. They are getting 4500 air but told me they are waiting on a trailer. They were filling out of SCBA but I always got enough for 2 games @ 3000. I had a very enjoyable day, everyone was nice, and will try to make it back. Just make sure you bring your own water and food and shade.
ok well to start off conquest is the only field i played at and it has some ups and some downs. Some of the downs are... IT GETS REALLY HOT THEIR during the summer, and the half the workers are really NOT friendly at alll. The fat guy that stands behind the counter can reallllllly be sarcastic and not a pleasent person to do business with, some of the refs are really UNPROFECINAL, they cheat by telling their friends on the feild were the other players are. Now for the ups... the fields are reallyyyyy fun and the best part for me was that the people playing at that field are really friendly, if only the ppl that worked their were as friendly as ppl that go their to play i would give this place a 10 out of 10 but until the ppl that work their get their act together and lighten up and stop being sarcastic i give this place a 5 out of 10
PB USA Santa Clarita. Not Worth the time to many little kids dropped off by their parents so they can be babysat all day.
PB USA Acton is supposed to be better than ever and I am going there in a week and will give it a review as well.
Conquest has some cool fields and great staff members. They are strict about rules and will let you know if your out of line. Overall I have enjoyed the fields every time Ive played there.
PRO's: Air Ball Fields plus three other fields to play on.
Great staff and very friendly.
Prices are reasonable and they have techs to help you fix your gun if it breaks.
They turn games around fast and always play back to back.
Food and drinks are available.
Plenty of Parking and Andy gumps on site.
Cons: Very little shaded areas and it gets hot in the summer.
Dry river bed and there are far to many rocks on the fields.
Need netting to protect people in the parking lot from getting hit with flying balls.
No phones, electricity or running water.
Coming in December: They are supposed to be getting a compressor so
and will give 4500 fills.
This is a great field. Great rec-ball games. All the fields are basically flat so you do have to hike up hills or anything like that. They play two games in a row which is cuts down on waiting greatly. They also have a airball field but I have yet to play on it. Staff is basically cool. But there is no phones or cell phone reception there, leaving you kind of stranded if you want to leave early. Over all a pretty good field.
