Fox4 is by far the best field I have played..Due largely in part to the experience & professionalism of the staff. They are both extremely knowledgable & safety conscious. No matter what level of play you seek you will not be disappointed at Fox4. They have a great setup for the field of play...Run excellent games... I would highly recommend this field to anyone...
I am very Impressed with the staff and field. it is still new and constantly changing. Staff is great. Staging are is great. I believe they are the original owners of Friend Fire who lost their lease. If you liked FF Field you will also like this one. The swamp can be an obstacle.. or an oppourtunity!
In 1 game Our team was pretty much pinned in our base.. but by "braving" the swamp I was able to get all the way to their "unprotected" base, grab the flag, run back (dodging 2 enemies that spotted me and where after me) and cap the flag without taking a single shot. Swamp provided great cover.
UPDATE: They are starting to put up some speedball fields. 2 5 man fields that will convert to a 10 man field and a "little guy" field for those smaller individuals that want to paly at thier own pace away fromt eh big psychos. :)
Also I beleive that next year they are talking about putting in somecanopies or cover for the staging are.

there staff was nice but the feilds where not very nice. It looked like they just bought woods and put tape lines thru it. Its too wooded for me. I am more for speedball but thats just me. there store is way over priced! barrel condoms for like $15...lol wow. They guys in there broke my regulator and tried to blame me on how i put it on my gun. The staff on the feild was nice but the hick and the fat guy in the store tried to make me look like i did not have a clue on what i was doing.
This is an excellent field. I have played at a lot of different fields out in Western MA since the late 80's. Yes, my first gun was a Splatt Master.
My first experience on this field was with my brand new C98 with CO2 bottle in the cold of March. When my gun was shooting hot and couldn't control the speed because the bottle blew and was frozen they gave me a Nitro tank for the day at NO cost! +1 for Fox 4. Next time, after getting my new Nitro tank the tank o'ring blew. The tech in the store fixed my tank is like 15 mintues. +2
They have mainly one large 30 acre playing area. In that area there are about 6 smaller fields that they switch around. This gives them the ability to play large scenario games or fast paced smaller games. They have spent a lot of time clearing out the thick brush and building bunkers/forts.
Upcoming is a speed ball field on site. All of the staff are very experienced and pleasant. They also have a paved parking lot right on the main road.
Best of all they just changed to BYOP! Even before it was very reasonably priced. For self equipped it's $20 field fee + $10 all day air.
If all that wansn't great, try emailing them. I can guarantee you get a response within 24hrs if not minutes! They are very responsive!
You WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
Cape Cod Paintball, Boston Paintball, UMass Paintball Fields
All around a very good staging, the prices are reasonable, they are able to fill air to any pressure, they have food, bathrooms (granted, port-a-poties), enough variety of paintball at reasonable prices, or you can BYOP if you self-equip. Plus they have many theme days where the prices can be dropped to as little as $15. The owner is very knowledgeable, he was able to fix some parts of my Palmer Blazer, which normally people can't do. One problem I noticed in setup is the kids filling up CO2 were over pressurizing the bottles to the point of blow-outs.
As for the fields, it's large, somewhat divided into 5-6 fields, where you can easily have 2 40 person groups out there in separate 2 games and never run into each other. On the Big Games (which there will be 3 this year) the whole field is used can can easily hold ~400 people, plus they will be expanding into more area soon. There's plenty of cover in behind rocks, wall, trees, etc., not to many bunkers though. The two minor problems are the swamps, which can get deep at spots (saw on 12- year-old kid up to his chest in water) and the brush can be too thick at places.
For safety they are very stringent, which I like. They make sure all markers are chronoed before the games, and they occasionally have pocket chronos just in case people want to crank up the guns and fire hot on the field. They also are stringent on making sure players keep their masks on and barrel plugs/condoms on. I personally like that, I rather people get warnings, than losing an eye.
As for the players themselves, I've only seen a few jerks out on the field, who get in peoples faces. However; they are a vast minority, and it is clear that the owners don't tolerate it at all.
Overall, this is the best field I've played at in Massachusetts, while a few flaws here-and-there (as any field would) I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time.
Paintball Heaven (1), Cape Cod Paintball (6 more orginization would help)
This feild is one word ...................AWESOME!
The good stuff:
- Runs like a machine. The refs are polite, professional, organized and friendly. They take time to explain the way their feild runs (as we all know they all run differently)
- Competative pricing. It was $30 to get in and get air and with your own equip you can bring that paint you love so much.
- VARIETY the spice of life ladies and gentlemen. The feild offers a good spectrum of games as well as feilds. Granted I didn't get to see them all but what I saw was enough to make the judgement.
- The games were interesting. It wasn'ta matter of paying 50v50 elimintation all day. There was actually some thought put into the games.
- There is a hot dog guy. How can you not like that? This fat kid likes havin food real close and it doesn't get any closer than here.
- The people. All the people that were there to play were with it. there was no tomfoolery or shinanigans. Everyone was good people there wasn't any of the petty of feild bickering that you see at so many feilds.
- The crowd. There was probably 80-100 people there when I went. It seems like a lot but it was a good and all the games ran smoothly
The Bad:(come on there has to be something)
-The feild conditions (the bunkers were fine, the paths were groomed) the area was just very swampy. Granted the owners can't do anything about it and it will dry eventually. This is more a note of caution to bring your boots when you go there.
Overall I gave it a 9 because nothing is perfect but Fox 4 comes very close. If I could it would be a 9.5. Highly recommended. If you live anywhere close take the trip it's well worth it.
This is the best place to play. on my first time playing the refs were so good to me and the refs are so helpful and they still are. it is also very safe, a mask violation will get you kicked out for the day, which might sound harsh, but if u think about it it is actually good. and in their 6 years of operation they have never had an eye related injury. chronographing and barrel plugs are also very strongly enforced. Also if ur gun isnt working in the cold or ur co2 freezez then the people there will let u have a free rental.
their rentals are really good too and very clean and well working. the place is also very well organized with plenty of helpful refs. the feild is huge with like 25 acres of land. they play great games there that are really fun for newbies and experienced players alike. i could go on forever about this feild, it is the most fun safe place i have ever played at and it is the best. it gets a 10 cuz this place can not be beat by any
The field is very popular and relatively cheap. If you go be sure to look on the website to see when you can get field enterence for only $5. They do it every month and if your cheap like me thats when you'll go. There is always a big turn out of people on weekends like the last time I went the teams were 50 on 50. If it's your first time definitely go to this field.

This place is great, saftey first is the way the operate. Love how big the field is. They let self equiped players use their own paint. cool if you are in a private game or their big game with a ton of people. Have been open all winter, and now are going back to their summer hours in april. The refs are great and help you when you need it. 10 out of 10
