No other 'fields' some scattered outlaw fields but nothing major.
Excellent place, they have varieties of events constantly going on wether it be an amatuer tournament or a 24 hour scenario game (tried one only lasted 7) also just standard playing. The hyperball field is awesome and so are the other speedball fields. The woods fields can become very big an confusing and are perfect for flanking, sneak attacks, and ambushes. The price to enter is cheap and they sell decent paint at fairly low prices, you can bring your own paint if you want but most people buy it there. They also have a very well stocked pro-shop so bring your wallet.
Paintball X was unsatisfactory in comparison to PBC
Strikezone Paintball nice facility but no where near as nice as PBC
I both work and play at PBC and I think that it is the best paintball field in the lowcountry and probably the state. The staff is GREAT, the environment that they provide is excellent, and the qualified gun techs and field refs are awesome. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. The owners are great people and they strive to keep their fields in good condition, as well as provide a safe environment for paintball players of all ages. Though they may be sticklers for safety it is for the benefit of the players and the staff. That is why I enjoy playing and working at PBC.
I live 20 min away from PB Chas, and I play there quite a bit. I have increased my skills and knowledge of the game quite a bit. P/Ball Chas is an excellent field for rec ball. They offer a wide variety of fields as mentioned by the other reivews, but the one thing I do not like is some of the service end of things... In the beginning, they often made me feel unwelcomed b/c I was inexperience and condenscending b/c my equipment was not worth 1000's of dollars... comments (and I quote) "You just have a Tippman ?!??" or "You can't expect much more from your gun..." - is that necessary? In my opinion, and granted, I am just one man, would it not be more beneficial to your return customer base and longevity of the sport to encourage new players, not mock them? I will say this, they are anal rentintive about safety, which I find an excellent quality, their prices border on the high side, even with your own equipment, you can spend $75-$150 for a full day of play.... a case of decent paint, $4.00-$6.00 PER FILL on CO2 and Nitro... if you have a less than 68 cui tank, you may pay $12.00-$18.00 a day to get air... maybe an all inclusive field fee might be in order ??? Just a thought... the other issue I have is their store... great selection... a little pricey... (not bad though)... but their service dpt... what a nightmare... I dropped off a month old Piranha for some problems... two weeks later, they had not even looked at it, much less fixed it... I had used the gun once, bought at their sales dpt's recommendation... took it too them... they never fixed it, I ended up having to go pick it up and take it to another shop where they fixed a simple error in 17 min (yes, I counted) They said "It's probably good that you came and picked it up, we just don't have time to look at it"... Hmmmmm, customer service?
This is the best field I have played at. The 4 forts and castle are awesome. Then there are at least 4 - 5 different ways to play woods games with the fields. The people that play there are nice and the people who run and ref are very concerned about safety and fair play and will not tolerate violations of either one. They are moving there store out to the field soon to make it even better so that you can purchase everything you need right at the fields and get all your repairs done as well.
Paintball X - Safety is not first for them, and they are arrogant and rude (and they don't have the game to back it up)
When it comes to a high quality paintball experience, Paintball Charleston, is the place to go in the lowcountry. EXCELLENT PRICES, Great Staff, and an amazing Safety record. These guys know how to provide a quality experience. My first time playing paintball was at Paintball Charleston, and I have got to tell you, it was great. The refs were helpful, they made me feel safe, and taught me a lot about the game.
The owners are friendly and safety conscious, which is a huge plus. They aren't afraid to shut down the field to maintain a safe atmosphere.
Prices at the field are just incredible. As previously stated in other reviews, you just can't beat these prices!
If you're in the lowcountry and you want to have a good paintball experience, Paintball Charleston, is the place to be!
This feild is very good it has alot of different feilds alot of forts. Its a very nice feild they do not tolerate anyone breaking rules like taking off mask or not having barrel plug on. Their paint is alot cheaper than anyone elses. Its pretty cheap $10 for all day if you have your own stuff $20 if your renting. Its a all around good feild i love going there.
It's the best field!!!!!!! It has 4 forts(fort Diesel, <<<[correct me if im wrong about that one] Fort Evil, The Castle, Fort Drum,). Co2 is $4 for a 20oz Air is $1!!!!! Paint Averages from $15.00(500rnds)0-$60.00 for case of best paint(Anarchy, all star, whatever) It is awesome awesome awesome!!!!!! GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paintball of charleston has 4 forts. They have screnario game they are very well managed the refs carry hand hell velocity testers so people dont shoot to fast. The shooting limit is 285. It has 6 fields it has speed ball feilds also. The air is cheap very cheap. Paintball of charleston also has a store on dorchester. The refs are nice and help you if your having trouble with your gun . They have chronographs in the staging area. It is very safe you cannot take off you mask at any time unless your in the staging area. you HAVE to have a barrel plug/condom/sock. They have nitrogen refills as well as co2. I strongly recomend coming to this feild if your in the area. I also forgot to mention it also has a speed ball feild.

Bowen's island Field this field is horrible compared to Paintball of Charleston
This feild is great it can get wet somtimes. the refs are nice and will help you if you have any problems. you can if you want have a private game but i think that it's more fun to play with people you don't know. the CO2 charges are cheap 2-4$ and they have a wide variity of paint they sell basic equipment in case you need it.
