Review: Where to begin? They have a nice Sup ĎAir field that you get to look at. I say look at because their tourny team will be using it all day and you will not be. The large majority of their field is a woodland hill with a small creek at the bottom. The boundaries are not always clearly marked and there is a road with passing vehicles and pedestrians within 5ft of the creek. The hill field has mostly natural obstacles with a few bunkers. Despite the lack of size the field is generally fun to play on. They also have a nicely constructed hyperball field. It is a bit short but otherwise enjoyable.

I would have to say my biggest gripe about Capt'n Carls is the reffing staff. I have played at Capt'n Carls several times and each time I have been appalled by referee behavior. From my experience at Captín Carls I have witnessed a lack of attention to the game and the players. When someone is hit the referees are usually too busy talking to call that player out, or signal an elimination. During several games the head ref actually left his mask off while entering the field. He then told everyone to take out their barrel plugs and didn't bother to put his mask on until the game started. After being a referee for 5yrs my biggest pet peeve is seeing players take off their masks on field and now I have seen a head referee do it! After the game was over the teams would re-group at the staging area half of them without their barrel plugs in and no field official would bother to remind the players to put their barrel plugs back in.

I would consider playing at this field again if they hired some refs with any competence.

Review: where to start? If you like paying to have their tourny team use you as practice then go right ahead and play. most rec'ers and rookies will probably leave when tourney team gets there, so if you want to enjoy yourself, do it by 12 o'clock. some of the staff is helpful, but mostly not. prices are moderate, about the only solid thing i can say about this place. but i guess for most people it is either captn' carls or poco loco. if those were my only choices, then i would go to carl's. luckily for me i own a car so i will continue driving to delaware to play

Poco Loco (worst field I've ever played at)
Review: This is the best paintball field I have ever been to. I have played here about every other week for the last 2 years and the staff is great. No favorism or any other bad habits are found on the field(unlike Poco Loco). If you play here you will be welcomed no matter what your skill which was a good thing when I started with my rental Tipmann and is still a thing I like about this field with my Angel. Teams are always fair on walk on day and the house team, Terminal Velocity, will be a competition for most. In conclusion, Captn Carls is a great field to go to if you're getting into paintball because it will make you feel welcome.

Poco Loco- The refs run the place like drill sargents cause they constantly deal with newbs, prices are way to high, they dont even use their bad "speedball field"
Review: Capt'n Carls is a good field. The prices are great, the staff is friendly, they dont rush you to play games so you use more paint. The air field is nice, my only complaint being lack of grass but maybe spring time will help out with that. The Hyperball field is alright, there's a pretty good snake in it. The woods fields have some great cover and some really good shooting lanes. In conclusion the field is really good. It's pretty much everything you can ask for in a field. I reccomend it and give it a nine.

Review: For the size and capacity of the field, I think it's decent. They have a nice Sup Air field and a decent hyperball, I think if they expanded it would definitly be a great field to play at.

The paint wasn't the greatest (32* competition) but the staff were annoying and unabservent but at least they were trying to tech peoples equipment when I was there. Over all a crappy field, it could definitly use some more fields though. The refs were not the nicest people. Smelled horrible, the guys are stupid, and I think u'd be better off going to poco loco.

I wouldn't go again but I just went to hang out w/ some friends and it's over an hour away so I'll stick w/ skirmish.

Review: Tournaments- I just went to a tournament about two days ago, and totally blew me away. It had music, food, great refs, and the whole event ran smooth. Highly reccomended.

Steve, the guy who is usually there, is a great guy to talk with, really helpful, and has a great attitude. Most of the guys that work there play quite a bit when they aren't working and are really nice guys to hang out or talk to.

I'd also like to add they have a air copmressor there so they fill to 4500.

In addition, their paint prices are actually reasonable, unlike Poco Loco's 100 dollars a case policy. I can't remember off the top of my head what the price is on a regualr day..i think it was either 60 or 70 for a case of decent paint (diablo mostly...not Zap or 32 like Poco Loco)
